What has Changed? The ink well is now long gone ! We have invented other things to improve the work habits of present day children , so work can be completed faster  One of the benefits of new tools is more work can be fitted in to the day’s schedules... but does it help us work smarter ?  Counting And Writing  100 years ago-  Hand  Quill and Ink  Slate and Calk 50 -25  years ago- Abacus  Pencils  White  boards  Hand Present time- Calculator  Counters  Hands  Stationary  Smart- board
Teaching Method 100 – 50 - 25 years ago teachers focused more on whole class teaching. There were large class numbers so it was really hard to meet individual’s needs.  Teachers now focus more on individual and group needs because they know everyone learns differently and it’s better for us.  100 - 50 - 25  Years ago  learning – Today's Learning- Must learn by the line be above. Everybody had to achieve at this line ! Today we know that everyone learns in different ways and everyone starts from different  places.
Thinking and Questioning 100 -50 -25 years ago teachers knew it all and students were only encouraged to ask  the questions that teachers could answer. Student’s who were too curious got into  a lot of trouble. They were  just cheeky. Now we spend more time  learning how  to ask useful questions and learning ways to organise our thinking. We use more diagrams to sort out our ideas and everyone  knows it’s important to be curious.

This observation report summarizes a class that was observed at an intermediate reading and composition course. There were 16 students in the class. The class started with a journal writing activity where students wrote independently and exchanged journals with partners to read and respond to each other's entries. This allowed students to practice writing in a low-stakes way. Later, students worked in groups to review homework answers and justified their responses based on the assigned reading. The class then watched commercials corresponding to their textbook and discussed cultural influences on advertising effectiveness. Finally, the class discussed academic integrity policies by considering scenarios in their own and American academic cultures. Overall, the class used a variety of individual and group activities to engage students in critical thinking about the course materials

Managing student behaviour, especially excited or divisive students, can be a daunting task, but it is definitely rewarding. After all, student behaviour plays a big role in the overall learning experience. When students are disruptive, It is important for the teacher to act quickly and correctly. Without effective behaviour management strategies, the classroom setting wouldn't be the same at all.

  • 2. What has Changed? The ink well is now long gone ! We have invented other things to improve the work habits of present day children , so work can be completed faster One of the benefits of new tools is more work can be fitted in to the day’s schedules... but does it help us work smarter ?   • 3. Teaching Method 100 – 50 - 25 years ago teachers focused more on whole class teaching. There were large class numbers so it was really hard to meet individual’s needs. Teachers now focus more on individual and group needs because they know everyone learns differently and it’s better for us. 100 - 50 - 25 Years ago learning – Today's Learning- Must learn by the line be above. Everybody had to achieve at this line ! Today we know that everyone learns in different ways and everyone starts from different places.
  • 4. Thinking and Questioning 100 -50 -25 years ago teachers knew it all and students were only encouraged to ask the questions that teachers could answer. Student’s who were too curious got into a lot of trouble. They were just cheeky. Now we spend more time learning how to ask useful questions and learning ways to organise our thinking. We use more diagrams to sort out our ideas and everyone knows it’s important to be curious.
  • 5. We use more technology in classes to communicate our ideas and to get access to software and all the free resources on the internet. It helps us learn better and it’s fun. Classroom Learning Classroom Technology Classroom Use
