The slide deck goes further, providing guidance to site and district leaders to develop systems of deeper level learning.

Qualitative research and use of Nvivo

Bias in Research Methods

Examiners Expectations from PhD Thesis

4) Have a sound conceptualization supported by theory that leads to clear hypotheses or a conceptual framework.
5) Use valid and appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods, measures, and analyses to properly justify the methodology and interpret all findings.
Fundamental of Research
This document summarizes a presentation by Dr. K. Prabhakar on research methods. The presentation covers ontology, or what exists in the world; epistemology, or the nature of knowledge; and methodology, or how to conduct research. Key aspects of research design are also discussed, including hypotheses generation and testing. Post-Keynesian economics is provided as an example research approach.

This presentation will address the issue of sample size determination for social sciences. A simple example is provided for every to understand and explain the sample size determination.
Sampling Concepts
This document discusses sampling distributions and concepts related to proportions in statistics. It explains that the proportion of a characteristic in a sample (p) is a random variable whose distribution depends on the sample size (n). The mean (μp) of this sampling distribution is equal to the population proportion (p). It also defines the standard error of a proportion as the standard deviation of its sampling distribution. An example shows how to calculate the probability that a sample proportion is less than a value using the normal distribution. The key point is that sampling distributions allow inferences about populations based on sample statistics and their standard errors.

The model trains vision care technicians through short courses to diagnose and treat refractive errors. It aims to address the shortage of eye care professionals in a low-cost and sustainable way. The technicians operate from their homes and conduct screenings to provide affordable eyeglasses. Monitoring shows most new patients come through referrals. The model is cost-effective for rural patients and provides employment while being designed for scalability and replication in multiple states.
