Lymphatic System Consists of organs, ducts and nodes.
Transports watery clear fluid called lymph which then distributes immune cells and other factors throughout the body.
Contains immune cells called lymphocytes which then protect against antigens trying to invade the body.
Main Functions of Lymphatic System Collects and returns bodies fluids.
Helps maintain fluid balance.
Defends the body against disease.
Absorbs lipids from intestines and transports them to the blood.
Hodgkin's Disease (HD) Also known as Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Lymphoma is the cancer of lymph tissue found in lymph nodes, spleen, liver and bone marrow.
Type of cancer originating from white blood cells.
