5. STOP THE NEGATIVITY…
• Take a moment and ask yourself how you treat people around you
in general. How do your treat your classmates? How do your words
and actions affect others? Is it in a positive or negative way?
• Recently, we’ve had comments from many students and parents
about students disrespecting each other. Be conscientious about
your speech and your behavior. YOU are responsible for it. Help
create a positive school experience and environment for everyone!
• Don’t be part of the problem.

6. FOR EXAMPLE…
• Someone got an answer wrong in class today? Don’t make insulting
or “joking” remarks out loud or under your breath. No one is always
right. School is for learning!
• Calling others names to belittle, embarrass, or hurt them. Sarcasm,
cynicism, and negativity creates a toxic environment for EVERYONE.
No one wants to be surrounded by negative people or comments.
• Joking around with others in a mean way. There’s joking and being
funny, and then there is crossing the line. Don’t be rude, crude, or
inappropriate when joking.

• Respect the Rights of Others: No one has the right to interfere with or
disrupt the education of others.
• Obey School Rules: Rules, regulations, and established procedures are
designed to enable the school to meet its obligation to educate each
student. The school cannot achieve this task if school personnel have to
spend much of their time in maintaining order.
• Respect Public and Personal Property and Return All Materials and
Equipment: Students are encouraged to be proud of the school and protect
it.

8. CREATE POSITIVE ENERGY
• The things you say, the things you think, the things you do—
even the things you don’t do—all produce energy that impacts
you and the people around you. If you work on creating more
positive energy, you’ll see improvements in your life and you’ll
touch more lives than you thought possible.
• Recognize the differences in everyone… and treat everyone
respectfully.
