or try to do it by yourself? Why?
• If you are lost, do you normally ask for directions or try to
figure it out by yourself? Why?
• If you come to class early, do you usually save a seat for a
friend? Why/why not?
• Has a friend (or relative) ever asked you to lend them
money? If so, why did they need it? Did you lend it to them?
• What will you do if you lend money to someone, and they
don’t pay you back? Why? Does it depend on how much
money it is?
• Have you ever borrowed money from someone?

• One person – choose a card and mime the request.
e.g. “lend me a pen”
• If someone makes a proper request, like:
Could you lend me a pen?/ Would you mind lending me a pen?
reply:
Sure. / No problem. / Not at all. and give them the card.
• Then the next person takes a card and mimes.
• The person with the most cards at the end is the winner!
