- “non-industrial noise pollution”
- also called “environmental noise”, “residential
noise” or “domestic noise”
- Defined as noise emitted from all sources,
except at the industrial workplace

- The many & varied sources of noise is
industrial machinery & processes include: rotors,
gears, turbulent fluid flow, impact processes, electrical
machines, internal combustion engines, pneumatic
equipment, drilling, crushing, blasting, pumps &
compressors. Furthermore, the emitted sounds are
reflected from floors, ceiling & equipment.

Cause fatigue & aggression
Reduce immune response

19. HOW YOUR BODY REACTS:
In response to excessive noise, your autonomic
nervous system attempts to adjust body functions by
increasing a person’s heart rate, raising blood pressure
& releasing the hormones adrenalin & cortisol. However,
prolonged high level of adrenalin & cortisol under
stressful working may lead to more serious health
effects, including:
•Raised blood pressure
•Accelerated heart rate
•Stress, which can lead to irritability & headaches
•Hypertension increasing the risk of strokes & heart
attacks
•Reduced white blood cell & immune response

20. HIGH NOISE LEVELS – high levels of
noise may initially cause dull hearing &
ringing in the ears. Regular high level
noise exposures will lead to loss of
hearing & other adverse health effects.
LOW LEVEL NOISE – low levels of
noise can interfere with activities or
concentration & causes similar stress &
health effects as high level noise.

21. V. NOISE CONTROL
Suggestions to prevent or control noise:
•Block reception from the unwanted sound
by using ear plugs.
•Sound proofing rooms to prevent excessive
noise from coming in
•Prevent noise at the source by redesigning
the source. For example, an engine can be
made more quiet by installing cushions or
mufflers.

23. CONCLUSION:
Based on our study, we can conclude that even in
our homeland, there are various sources of noise
pollution. People, or we sometimes do not notice that
we are making the worst mistake of our lives, spoiling
what is an universal in heritage.
I believe that all of us can contribute to improve
our environment.
Let’s live a legacy to leave for future
generations. Let’s minimize noise. Let’s make change
for the better. 
