This document discusses types of teaching based on Mortimer Adler's Paideia Proposal and Figure 10.2 from Understanding by Design by Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe. It then discusses research on how color can impact the teaching and learning process. Several studies found that color influences student attitudes, behaviors, and learning by affecting attention span and sense of time. Other research suggested that using different color schemes in schools can improve mood, reduce absenteeism, and have physiological impacts like changes in blood pressure and muscle tension.
