This document discusses a project to increase the competitiveness and environmental sustainability of companies located in the Port of Strasbourg. The project's main goals were to increase competitiveness and attractiveness while preserving natural resources and decreasing human impact. To achieve these goals, the project optimized resource management by developing synergies between 24 participating companies. Material and energy flow analyses identified 26 potential synergies. Eleven synergies were implemented, saving over 300,000 euros and 3,500 tons of CO2 emissions annually. Examples of synergies included local recycling of pallets and waste wood, and using malthouse co-products to culture microalgae.
