This document outlines three options for domestic waste treatment that generate electricity and/or fertilizer. Option 1 uses anaerobic digestion and composting to produce fertilizer and surplus electricity. Option 2 focuses on dedicated electricity generation from syngas. Option 3 produces renewable fuels and cellulosic feedstocks. The technical proposal includes waste sorting, compaction, anaerobic digestion, landfill gas harvesting, and power generation. Benefits include fertilizer production, jobs, and electricity. The estimated investment is €25-30 million for Options 1 and €30-37 million for Option 2.
