The European Innovation Partnership on Water - EIP Water in short - was active between 2012 and 2020 as an initiative led by the European Commission DG Environment within the EU 2020 Innovation Union. It aimed to boost opportunities for innovation in the water sector. It facilitated the development of innovative solutions and approaches that contribute to economic growth, solve societal challenges, create jobs and enhance Europe’s competitiveness.
