considered in my evaluation question: What

songs from Girl’s aloud, Girl’s aloud also cameo’d (?) in the
film at the end, trailers and posters were released in cinemas
and on television before the film came out, other cameo’s
included Jeremy Thompson and Zoe Salmon (both are
presenters from TV programmes that I don’t know).

Did the idea start with the writer, or were writers brought in to develop a
preconceived idea?
St Trinian’s was based off of a book series written by Ronald Searle. The books
were about a fictional girls boarding school called St Trinian’s (obviously...). His
inspiration for these books came from a real British school called the Perse
School for girls.
What are the issues with the genre of the film?
Problems often associated with films of this genre are/can be pretty
obvious. Things such as actually making the film funny and staying true
to the writer’s intention of the story.
Who wrote the original script?
The original script was written by Piers Ashworth and Nick
Moorcroft.
Who composed the theme music?
The theme music was composed by Charlie Mole.

• (500) days of Summer was directed by Marc Webb and was
produced by Mason Novick, Jess Tuchinsky, Mark
Waters, Steven J. Wolfe and Scott G. Hyman. The film is a
comedy/drama/romance starring Joseph Gordon Levitt and
Zooey Deschanel (also known as the King and Queen of
hipsters though there is some debate over whether Matt
Smith and Karen Gillan are taking their place. Anyway...). This
film was distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures, a subsidiary
of 20th Century Fox pictures.

Did the idea start with the writer, or were writers brought in to develop a
preconceived idea?
The film originally came from two writers – Scott Neustadter and Michael H.
Weber. It started off as an independent production that was picked up by
Fox Searchlight pictures.
What are the issues with the genre of the film?
This genre of film is a hybrid and it would experience issues in that sense
because the two genre’s (comedy and drama) are opposing. How can you
make something funny but at the same time be serious? They managed to
do this however because the film is told from the point of view of a male
protagonist and is all about how he see’s the situation he’s in but not
necessarily is happening.
Who wrote the original script?
Answered above. 
Who composed the theme music?
The music was composed/chosen by Mychael Danna and Rob Simonsen.
