Plymouth State University implemented the open-source ePortfolio platform Mahara campus-wide in 2010 to provide students with an integrated learning tool for teaching, learning, authentic assessment, and career development. Over 600 users have created over 30 user groups on Mahara to showcase coursework, capstone projects, internships, travel experiences, and more. Faculty are also using Mahara for promotion and tenure documentation as well as performance evaluations. Mahara allows for different access levels and views of portfolio content for teaching, advising, prospective employers, and more. The platform is being adopted statewide in New Hampshire's K-12 schools as well, enabling a lifelong portfolio for students.
