Students at Saint Joseph High School in Izmir, Turkey implemented a recycling project to reduce waste and create a forest. They established waste management systems to separate recyclable materials and compost food waste. Regular measurements found the school produced over 1,700 kg of waste monthly. Funds from recycling were donated to the Aegean Forest Foundation to plant trees in a new "recycling forest". The students showed that previously wasted materials can now contribute to the economy and environment through sustainable waste management.

I am so glad that you have been able to learn a little bit about how we can be a helping hand in the conservation of water in our world. Taking care of our planet is a big responsibility. We have only scratched the surface of conservation of water, but if we all work together, we can bring about change, not only with water, but with air, land, energy, waste, and others. Even though you have completed this task, do not stop here. I encourage you to try and find out the ways you can help your community to become active in conservation. In March 2007, those efforts took on a more public face when Belmont launched "Belmont Goes Green" to encourage greater environmental awareness on campus. Belmont President Dr. Bob Fisher signed the Talloires Declaration of the Association of University Leaders for a Sustainable Future (USLF). In signing the declaration, the university presidents agreed to increase awareness of environmentally sustainable development, create an institutional culture of sustainability and educate for environmentally responsible citizenship, among other efforts.
Locating and Reordering Discourses - EnvironmentTeacher Arzadon
This paper explored the dynamics of inculcating environmental care discourses in a peri-urban village in the Philippines. The project involved mobilizing the whole village to revive its biologically dead river and implement waste segregation in every home. What environmental care discourses were found in the community and where did they come from? What representations did they create? How were they enacted and inculcated? To answer these questions, ethnography was employed along with deconstruction and critical discourse analysis. It was found that the state-led environmental care programs privileged techno-managerial and economic discourses, presented as expert knowledge belonging to scientific communities. The techno-managerial discourse normalized people as deficient and needy and the environment as an objectified helpless captive. Environmental care as an economic concern was about making money out of waste and providing lucrative profit to owners of waste-management businesses. Such discourse normalized people as consumers and potential recipients of loans for waste infrastructure projects. The village did not fully accept the state-led discourses and instead critically examined and melded them with their own discourse of environmental care -- spirituality-inspired and communitarian. The spirituality-inspired environmental discourse viewed environmental care as a battle between good and evil and learning is typified as a “conversion” process. Communitarian discourse cast environment as a nurturing place where people connect with their collective past. These endogenous discourses were inculcated and reproduced through compelling folklore and cultural symbols. The educative processes were informal, embedded in the daily activities in the village, mediated by unlikely teachers like garbage collectors and student volunteers. In the end, this study argues that environmental education is a critical and agentic process of navigating through multiple discourses. It is also process of identifying and locating endogenous discourses as the major point of departure.

Trivadis TechEvent 2016 A few thoughts on the subject Continuous integration ...Trivadis
Continuous Integration (CI) is existing in the frontend development for quite some time and is part of the daily standard. As part of the PL/SQL development CI is only slightly developed as for many developers it shows up being expensive and complicated. Using Unit-Test errors are detected in an early stage and speeds up the development of error-free software. My presentation will demonstrate the advantages of the continuous quality assurance approach as well as introducing a method being implemented at VW FS for automating unit testing and quality assurance

In this presentation, a possible integration trend of the IoT, Mobile Terminals, and Cloud for the emerging 4G/5G high-speed mobile networks will be introduced. Hope Bay Mobile Inc. has proposed the patented “Cloud Memory Extension (CME)” Technology and the “Data-centric IoT” architecture, so that the system space of the mobile and IoT devices can be merged with the cloud storage seamlessly. In this way, the logical space of the devices could be extended without any limitation. Developers will be able to create applications easily since the details of the device-to-cloud communications has been hidden; instead, cloud data can be accessed from within the device local file systems directly.

Protecting the environment should be as important as the protection of your own life. Primarily, we all should be aware of the term environment. All living things survive within their own favorable zones of the environment thus the environment is not something that can be neglected easily without caring for it. It is very important for us to protect our environment, so that we can continue to live on this planet in a healthy and safe atmosphere. It is essential for us to segregate waste so that we can protect everybodys health. We must not only focus on caring about our health. Proper waste disposal and management can be done by applying the 3R – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reducing means lessening the amount of trash garbage produced. Reusing refers to using materials more than once while recycling means creating new material or product out of trash garbage. Environmental protection is one of the basic prerequisites for the overall development of any country in the world. As awareness of environmental protection is developed, human awareness is also developed about the need to preserve the environment by preventing adverse impacts on nature. Law, as a scientific discipline, plays a significant role in these endeavors. The process of disposing of solid waste should be systematic and efficient. Various pollution may occur if solid wastes are not properly disposed of. Pollution would not only affect the natural environment but also exposed the school as well as the community to various diseases. Therefore, the school should be given exposure to practice efficient waste segregation for their own benefit.

1. CAN A FOREST BE CREATED WITH RECYCLING ?
The increase in human population causes increased consumption waste in parallel with disruption of the
natural balance. It is very well known fact that this deterioration can be prevented by giving what we take from
nature ,back to nature by recycling. For example; the objects that we use as a waste material every day, can be
used as a raw material which can prevent increase in the environmental pollution. When we use scrap paper in
the manufacture of paper again, we are reducing air pollution74-94% , water pollution by 35% and use of
water by 45%.
1
Due to its our responsibility to our environment, to nature,to the country's economy and
also to ourselves , is to take a part in recycling projects today.
Saint Joseph High School in Izmir Grade 10 students did perform such a project that, perhaps other educational
institutions, municipalities and civil society organizations working in nature can take as a model.
Students with their research on recycling were looking for answers to their questions: How to reduce waste?
What can be recycled back to nature?
Saint Joseph Young Reporters who were the architect of the project team at first has created a "waste
management model" in school which hadn’t existed before . According to this model some steps are created
like; deposition of recyclable waste at source without mixing the trash; seperation of recyclable waste like
glass, paper, metal and plastic waste; clean and separated material is subjected to recycling in order to
contribute to the economy ; forest creation by obtainig tree seedlings with the school funds to be obtained
from recycling.
To determine the school's recycling potential measurements were performed regularly in a monthly period. As
a result of these measurements, the school appeared to produce about 1707 kg of waste per month .

2. Meanwhile, in the school recycling and education projects were explained to the other students which
increased awareness on the issue and increased the participation in the project.
Team, during his research of project in the purpose of "waste reduction" , found that cafeteria wastes like
vegetables, fruit peels and pulps, tea, coffee are valuable as organic waste and can be transform into 100%
organic worm compost.
For this purpose, the type of Eisenia foetida worms were obtained and team got to work. The conclusions of
the team was great. These studies showed that, if desired canteen waste can be turned into a valuable
fertilizer.
3. For each of the processes identified by the team enters collaboration with different institutions, Izmir Konak
Municipality provided recycling bins in every classroom in the school and were placed in selected locations. By
the help of our cooperation with the Özmüşler Waste Management and Environmental Consulting Services Inc.
We accumulated wastes were recycled on a weekly basis.
On April 7, 2014 , Saint Joseph High School and the Aegean Forest Foundation signed a protocol hereinafter

4. SJ Young reporters team says that with sustainable waste management model the previously wasted and
environmentally damaging waste is now contributing to the economy and shows that useful steps can be
taken to protect environment and they claim that their next step is to spread this model.
