 Tracking/dolly shot- camera on wheels and
moves with the action.
 Steadicam shot-can give a jerky feel to a
scene which makes the audience feel as
though they are there, especially if it’s a point
of view shot.
 Zoom shot- the camera lens zooms towards or
away from the subject. If done quickly, this can be
dramatic. But if done slowly, it can give a more
dreamy effect.
 Crane shot- camera on a crane, helicopter or
sometimes drone looks down on the action. The
shot can be moved dramatically from ground to
birds eye view or vice versa.
 Pan shot- the camera pivots to follow the action, e.g spins
around the room to follow a killer hiding in a bedroom.
 Trombone shot- tracks in whilst the camera zooms out, or the
other way around. Camera closes in on the subject. E.g like in
jaws when the shark attacks and closes in on the parent.
