BESIDE A CANAL – DAY
Opening Credits
Exterior shots of nature beside a canal in an abounded area where low angled, close up shots of plants and water are transitioned through fade effects to create a sense of peace and calm before the storm. Several low angled, long shots are used to focus on this old abounded railway bridge that lies above this canal where in the next scenes we will witness the hero character walk slowly along. Overlaying these nature shots will include text credits to the distributer, directors etc.
EXT. RAILWAY BRIDGE – DAY
Long shot used to capture the full width of this bridge with our hero character Urb in the background walking towards the camera.
EXT. RAILWAY BRIDGE - DAY
Medium shot is then used to shoot the character down to waist, walking slowly with his head tilted downwards slightly to suggest that the character is going over thoughts in his mind.
EXT. RAILWAY BRIDGE – DAY
Urb stops halfway on the bridge and a close up side view shot is used to focus on the character turning his head to his right overlooking the scenery around him.
A sudden loud scream is heard in the distance.
EXT. RAILWAY BRIDGE – DAY
The shot of Urb’s left side of his face remains as his calm mood is disrupted and instantly turns his head to where the scream came from. His eyes focus on where this incident has suddenly emerged from.
EXT. PATHWAY – DAY
A medium shot is used but filmed a distance away to shoot an incident that is taking play in front of Urb’s eyes. This is done to create the sense that we are looking at it from Urb’s perspective. A girl is being tormented by a gang and is left struggling to defend on the floor.
EXT. RAILWAY BRIDGE – DAY
Shot resumes back to the close shot of Urb’s face and concentrates on his eyes and his surprised reaction through facial expressions.
EXT. RAILWAY BRIDGE – DAY
Long shot is used to capture Urb’s full body length on the bridge and at a distance so we give the character space to run off shot. As Urb runs off shot an effect is used to make him fade out as if he has vanished into thin air. The footage will also be speeded up slightly in edit to make him look that little more faster.
EXT. PATHWAY – DAY
Soon the scene starts the gang are seen to get away with the girl crouched down on the floor unconscious. Soon the gang run off shot Urb fades in after running and approaches the girl.
EXT. PATHWAY – DAY
Medium shot of Urb and the victim girl. Urb crouches down to the girl who is on the floor.
VICTIM
(Gently) They got away.
URB
Not on my watch.
EXT. PATHWAY – DAY
Urb departs from the victim and stands back up. Medium shot is used on how he gets his two hands out and starts cycling them around. As he starts turning his hands they start going faster around and he then fades out and vanishes again.
EXT. PATHWAY – DAY
The beginning of the reverse shots start with a long shot of the villains coming back towards the victim after running away.
EXT. PATHWAY
Reverse shots continue with a long shot capturing the victim being beaten up and then back to normal before the incident. The gang are then seen strolling their way back in reverse up the path.
EXT. PATHWAY – DAY
After a shot of the gang walking backwards a medium shot it focused on the victim girl where after a few seconds a pan to the right awaits Urb calmly next to her. As time has been rewound the gang approach again but with Urb in the wings, they just walk on by.
EXT. PATHWAY- DAY
A close shot of the victim’s face to show their confused facial expressions and eye-line match with Urb is used and then switches to a close up of Urb who gives a slight grin.
TITLE OF THE HEREO MOVIE FLASHES ON WITH AN ADVENTOUROUS SOUNDTRACK.
