A terry towel is a textile product which is made with loop pile on one or both sides generally covering the entire surface or forming strips, checks or other patterns. Special type of weaving technique is required for terry towel manufacturing. Terry towels are often very complex with yarns of different types and colors, in combination with various loop pile and flat structures. The name "terry" comes from the word "tirer" which means to pull out, referring to the pulled out by hand to make absorbent traditional. Turkish toweling Latin "vellus" meaning hair has the derivation "velour" which is the toweling with cut loops. There are many types of towel. Baby Towel, Bath Towel, Beach Towels, Golf Towels ,Hand Towel and Hotel Towels now used commonly.
Sustainable dyeing process to cope with Industry 4.0Emran Ali
Value addition for textiles is an important process and it is required for all products including yarn, fabric, garment, fashion apparel, floor covering, and the majority of technical textile. For each textile processing, the processor used enormous amounts of chemicals and water in order to attain the desired result. After processing the residual processed chemicals and waters are treated with effluent treatment and discharged into the mainstream. The amount of residual unfixed dyes, metal compounds, formaldehyde-based dye-fixing agents, hydrocarbon-based softeners, and all types of dye-bath auxiliaries, as well as their degradation nature against the environment, are the deciding factors for its sustainability. There are many factors influencing the overall efficiency or value addition of a textile product, which play an important role in its sustainability.

Nearly 10% of the total emission of greenhouse gases is released by the textile & footwear industry. The onus lies on mill workers and management to identify the different types of material wastes and minimise them. Read this blog to find out how spinning mills should manage operational wastes.
Denim is a sturdy cotton warp-faced textile in which the weft passes under two or more warp threads. This twill weaving produces a diagonal ribbing that distinguishes it from cotton duck.
Denim is available in a range of colors, but the most common denim is indigo denim in which the warp thread is dyed while the weft thread is left white. As a result of the warp-faced twill weaving, one side of the textile is dominated by the blue warp threads and the other side is dominated by the white weft threads. Jeans fabricated from this cloth are thus predominantly white on the inside.

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing (AM), refers to the process used for creating three-dimensional objects. Starting from modelling, to printing and the final finishing - 3D printing is revolutionising the way one creates prototypes in fashion. And it is surely saving the companies a lot on time, effort and all such costs involved in an otherwise original sampling process.
Did you know there are already seven different types of 3D printing available in the market - ranging from those using laser vs. those using layering integration and so on. There are already some key players, startups and marketplaces across globe dominating the share in this industry.
In this research, learn all about the top market players, product category-by-category innovation that are taking place in fashion and the impact of 3D printing in the present and future fashion.

3D printing is a process of making three dimensional solid objects from digital file.
The creation of 3D printed object is achieved by additive processes. The object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created.
This technology is being extensively used both in prototyping and additive manufacturing.

12. Sustainability is frequently illustrated through the idea of
reduce, reuse and recycle, encouraging individuals and
businesses to reduce their consumption of planet resources,
such as water, land and oil; reusing products, such as a
refillable water bottle; and recycling materials, such as
paper, glass and aluminum.
In October 2021; Turkey -as the last G20 country- has
ratified Paris climate agreement that aims to limit the global
average temperature rise to well below 2 degrees Celsius.
Paris climate agreement parties has reached 195 countries
including USA, China, EU, Egypt& others. Representing about
98% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
Textile industry has a heavy impact on the environment as the current practices are unsustainable; and companies,
environmentalist and consumers are looking at strategies for reducing the textile carbon footprint. So, there is need to produce
the textile materials which are eco-friendly through; 1) Using more sustainable/renewable sources of energy to refrain from
fossil fuels. 2) Apply recycling practices and re-use to transfer apparel into raw materials (from garment to fibers). 3) Developing
products characteristics (longer life, repair, remanufacturing ability). 4) applying less-consumption sales (renting, co-sharing
consumption, designs& collections management, etc).
13. Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
