first draft of script for my short film

1. BUS STOP

2. EXT.OUTSIDE TERRACE HOUSE.NIGHT
Miles a very smiley, charismatic 17 year old black lad
stands outside a house. Thumping music and some noises can
be heard. Miles takes a drag of his cigarette. A door opens
and DAN a large slicked black haired 17 year fressed in a
black hoody and scarf exits the party
MILES
Where the fuck have you been?
DAN does not respond and Miles starts to walk off.
EXT.LONELY BUS STOP
Miles and Dan walk round a corner. Dan pulls out a cigarette
and lights it.
MILES
We need to hurry up before the last
bus comes. you shouldn’t be smoking
that we don’t have enough time.
DAN
Its fine we’ve got 5 minutes till
it comes.
Dan and Miles reach the bus stop. We see that there is only
one bus left to come.
EXT.LONELY BUS STOP
George enters, he has a cocky walk. george walks to the bus
stop and checks is phone.
GEORGE
fuck! allow this
George looks Dan up and down
GEORGE
oi Dan set me a cig.
DAN
nah sorry dont have any
GEORGE
shut up youv’e got one in your
mouth, set me a cig
(CONTINUED)

3. CONTINUED: 2.
DAN
I don’t have any.
George approaches Dan looking very intimidating, standing
over him.
MYLES
George just fuck off
GEORGE
Myles stay out of this, Dan set me
a cig
MYLES
he doesn’t have any just leave him
alone.
George pushes Dan by his shoulder.
EXT.LONELY BUS STOP
MYLES
George just move on stop being a
prick
GEORGE
shut up, Dan give me a cig now!
george pushes dan again. myles then grabs george by the
shirt. George grabs myles shirt.
EXT.LONELY BUS STOP
Last bus is approaching from a distance but the characters
are too involved with each other.
George and Myles are both swinging at each other. The bus
drives past them.
DAN
oh shit stop! thats our bus!
George and Myles stop and watch the bus drive past.
EXT.LONELY BUS STOP
GEORGE
shit, fuck you, you made me miss my
bus.
(CONTINUED)

4. CONTINUED: 3.
MYLES
well that was my bus aswell, now
none of us can get home.
EXT.LONELY BUS STOP
all three characters are standing round the bus stop.
GEORGE
well we are screwed, how am i meant
to get home now.
DAN
myles why dont we just get a cab
home?
MYLES
are yo gonna pay for it?
DAN
i spent all my money tonight
MYLES
so did i, all the trains are shut
too.
DAN
well what are we going to do then.
GEORGE
why dont you just walk? (sarcastic)
MYLES
I guess thats our only option then.
DAN
youre joking right?
MYLES
no but i dont know the way so how
are we going to do it.
DAN
if we are actually going to do this
then we could just follow the bus
stops home.
Myles starts to walk, dan chases after.
GEORGE
we live in the same ends so im
coming with.

5. 4.
george runs after dan and myles.
EXT.EMPTY STREET
George myles and dan are walking down an empty road. A man
walks out of an alley, he looks older than the other three,
around 24. he is dressed in all black he stops them in their
path.
MAN
yo can one of you let me borrow
your phone quickly.
DAN
dont have any signal sorry
the man looks at dan, focusing on him mainly.
MAN
i just want to check the time
GEORGE
its 2:37, that good enough for you?
MAN
nope. i need to check something.
the man approaches dan, looking very scary.
MAN
oi mate give me your phone!
GEORGE
fuck this!
george swings and hits the man in the face. the man is
knocked to the floor and myles dan and george all start to
run.
EXT. EMPTY STREET
the three characters are running away from the man, dan is
slower than george and myles. you can see the man getting up
and starting to chase them in the distance. george looks and
sees that dan is slowing down.
GEORGE
OI YOU TWO TAKE A RIGHT HERE!!!
all three characters take a quick right down a side road.

6. 5.
EXT. BACK ROAD
the three charcters sptil up and hide behind cars and bins.
the man runs down the road stops and looks around
MAN
where the fuck are you!
the man walks right past where dan is hiding. the man walks
off shouting
MAN
if i find you youre all dead!
EXT. BACK ROAD
all three characters emerge from their hiding spots and meet
in the middle of the road.
MYLES
that was bloody close.
all three characters start to laugh.
GEORGE
come on we should keep going, we’ve
still got like an hour and a half
to walk until we get home.
the characters continue to walk
13. EMPTY ROAD. MONTAGE OF CHARACTERS WALKING AND LAUGHING
TOGETHER.
EXT. EMPTY STREET WITH BENCH
all three characters walk past a bench but dan sits down.
MYLES
Dan what are you doing?
DAN
I cant continue, I need a break its
too cold to walk.
George and Myles sit down on either side of dan
MYLES
come on, we are so close its only
like half an hour then we will be
home.
(CONTINUED)

7. CONTINUED: 6.
DAN
i cant move its too cold to do
anything.
GEORGE
here take this
15. OUTSIDE MYLES’ HOUSE. DAN GIVES GEORGES COAT BACK TO
HIM, THEN GIVES HIM CIGARETTE. SCENE SHOWS BOND WAS MADE
BETWEEN CHARACTERS.
