Lingap Bulilit on Wheels Storytelling
I. Grade Level / Subject Matter: Kinder, Storytelling
a. Title of the Story: Bruhaha! Bruhihi!
b. Author: Corazon Remigio
c. Short Summary:
Once there was a little who suspects her neighbor of being a witch.
She used different superstitions to prove her neighbor’s identity as a
witch but soon she have found out that her neighbor’s alleged practices
as a witch was actually her neighbor’s way of coping with life as she
grows old alone. The little girl realized that behind the witch-like ways of
her neighbor, her neighbor is actually a good old woman who is longing
for love and care of a family member. From then on, the little girl took
care of the old woman and treated her like her own grandmother.
d. Moral of the Story:
The Moral of the story is to express love and care for old people,
may they be our grandparents or not.
II. Objectives (Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor)
Cognitive:
● Cite experiences that reminds them of their grandparents.
● Write their age, message and name on the sheets of paper.
● Draw themselves expressing love for their grandparents.
Affective:
● Demonstrate willingness to care and respect for their grandparents.
or old people
● Practice Filipino values such as saying “po” and “opo” and
“pagmamano”.
Psychomotor:
● Dip their hands in the paint of their choice and stamp it on paper.

● Assorted colors of easy clean & non-toxic poster paints
● Cards
● Heart cutouts
● Coloring materials
● Stickers
IV. Lesson Presentation
a. Motivation (Music)
1. Title: Kung mahal mo si lola pumalakpak ka!
2. In the tune of: Kung ikaw ay masaya
3. Actions:
Kung mahal mo si lola pumalakpak ka!
Students will wrap their arms students will clap their hands
Kung mahal mo si lolo pumadyak ka!
Students will wrap their arms students will stomp their feet
Kung mahal mo si lola pati na si lolo
Students will put left hand at left side and right hand at right side
Kung mahal mo pareho ay kumembot ka!
Students will crossed arms over their chest and will shake their hips!
4. Steps on How to Teach the Music to the Students
● Teachers will first sing the song to the students then they will sing it
together.
● Teachers will then sing the song and show the actions per line. The
students will follow their teacher.
● Teacher and students will practice it once then sing it together.

2.1 Before the start of the storytelling
Sino dito ang madalas makasama sila lola at lolo?
Sino naman ang minsan lang sila makasama?
Masaya ba kayo pagkasama sila lola at lolo?
Ano-ano ang mga ginagawa niyo ng magkasama?
2.2 During the storytelling (every after 1-2 pages)
Nakakatakot ba ang itsura ni Mrs. Magalit?
Anong ginagawa ni Mrs. Magalit sa bata?
Bakit daw bruha si Mrs. Magalit?
Sino ang mga naging parang mga bruho at bruha?
Anong ginawa nila?
Ano nang naging tawag ng bata kay Mrs. Magalit?
2.3 After the storytelling
Mga bata, tutulungan ba natin lagi at mamahalin sila lola at
lolo?
Paano ntin mapapakita ang pagmamahal natin sa kanila?
c. Closure – Moral of the story
Mga bata lagi nating tandaan na matanda na sina lola at
lolo. Medyo mahina na ang kanilang katawan at hindi na
nakakatakbo ng mabilis o nakakabuhat ng mabibigat na bigay.
Malabo narin ang kanilang mga mata. Hindi na nila masyadong
nababasa ang maliliit na mga letra sa libro o telebisyon. Dahil dito
dapat lang natin silang alagaan, mahalin at respetuhin dahil
inalagaan at minahal din nila tayo at ang ating mga magulang nung
bata tayo.
V. Evaluation (Art)
a. Title of Activity: Letter Letter to lolo and lola
b. Description:
Students will make a love letter to their lolos and lola to show
appreciation and love for her in their own simple way. Aside from
this, letters are good remembrance of the students’ happy
childhood with their grandparents.
c. Procedure
1. Students will dip their hands in the paint color of their
choice. They will stamp it on the left side of the paper. After
stamping, have the children wash their hands and dry it.
2. When the paint is dry already, the children will paste cut
heart outs on the hand stamp as if the hand is blowing
kisses. They will write their message inside the heart.
3. Students will write their age to complete the sentence
“Hawak mo ang kamay na ito noong ____ na taon pa
lamang ako.”
4. After with the left side of the paper, the students will draw
their fondest memory with their grandparents on the right
side of the paper. They may use stickers to decorate the
letter.
d. Photo of a Sample Final Product (NOT to be shown to the students)
Other Information Needed:
A. Classroom Management Techniques
a. Students are not listening
Call students attention by their names. Teachers may also say
“Hello Name, handa ka na ba?”, “Pwede mo bang ishare yung
pinaguusapan niyo dito sa harapan?”, “Pakiramdam ko hindi pa yata
handa makinig si Name.”
b. Students are not answering your questions
Teacher will first five the answer to her questions saying, “Sige si
teacher muna ha tapos kayo naman…” After telling the answer, the
teacher can call the child’s name and guide her through use of clue words
such as “Una, tapos, at huli..”
c. Students are not following your directions
Teacher will ask the student to stop the activity and the teacher will
directly demonstrate the directions and the students will follow her.
d. Students are not participating in the music and art activities
Teacher will ask the child if he/she has a problem. The teacher will
do everything she can to help solve the child’s problem. On the
otherhand if the child wishes no to participate at all, seclude from the
class to avoid distractions and give him choice activities.
B. Sponge Activities
Regalo Kay Lola at Kay Lolo
- Children will think of something they would like to gift to their grandparents /
elders.
- Children will form this gift with clay.
- Children can decorate this with small materials like buttons, clips, etc.

Bruhaha! Bruhihi!: Lesson plan: Storytelling

  • 1. Lingap Bulilit on Wheels Storytelling I. Grade Level / Subject Matter: Kinder, Storytelling a. Title of the Story: Bruhaha! Bruhihi! b. Author: Corazon Remigio c. Short Summary: Once there was a little who suspects her neighbor of being a witch. She used different superstitions to prove her neighbor’s identity as a witch but soon she have found out that her neighbor’s alleged practices as a witch was actually her neighbor’s way of coping with life as she grows old alone. The little girl realized that behind the witch-like ways of her neighbor, her neighbor is actually a good old woman who is longing for love and care of a family member. From then on, the little girl took care of the old woman and treated her like her own grandmother. d. Moral of the Story: The Moral of the story is to express love and care for old people, may they be our grandparents or not. II. Objectives (Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor) Cognitive: ● Cite experiences that reminds them of their grandparents. ● Write their age, message and name on the sheets of paper. ● Draw themselves expressing love for their grandparents. Affective: ● Demonstrate willingness to care and respect for their grandparents. or old people ● Practice Filipino values such as saying “po” and “opo” and “pagmamano”. Psychomotor: ● Dip their hands in the paint of their choice and stamp it on paper.
  • 2. III. Instructional Materials ● Bruhaha! Bruhihi! Storybook ● Assorted colors of easy clean & non-toxic poster paints ● Cards ● Heart cutouts ● Coloring materials ● Stickers IV. Lesson Presentation a. Motivation (Music) 1. Title: Kung mahal mo si lola pumalakpak ka! 2. In the tune of: Kung ikaw ay masaya 3. Actions: Kung mahal mo si lola pumalakpak ka! Students will wrap their arms students will clap their hands Kung mahal mo si lolo pumadyak ka! Students will wrap their arms students will stomp their feet Kung mahal mo si lola pati na si lolo Students will put left hand at left side and right hand at right side Kung mahal mo pareho ay kumembot ka! Students will crossed arms over their chest and will shake their hips! 4. Steps on How to Teach the Music to the Students ● Teachers will first sing the song to the students then they will sing it together. ● Teachers will then sing the song and show the actions per line. The students will follow their teacher.
  • 3. ● Teacher and students will practice it once then sing it together. b. Lesson Proper (Storytelling) 1. Unlocking of Words (3-4 words) -Bruha -Ngipin -Postiso 2. Questions 2.1 Before the start of the storytelling Sino dito ang madalas makasama sila lola at lolo? Sino naman ang minsan lang sila makasama? Masaya ba kayo pagkasama sila lola at lolo? Ano-ano ang mga ginagawa niyo ng magkasama? 2.2 During the storytelling (every after 1-2 pages) Nakakatakot ba ang itsura ni Mrs. Magalit? Anong ginagawa ni Mrs. Magalit sa bata? Bakit daw bruha si Mrs. Magalit? Sino ang mga naging parang mga bruho at bruha? Anong ginawa nila? Ano nang naging tawag ng bata kay Mrs. Magalit? 2.3 After the storytelling Mga bata, tutulungan ba natin lagi at mamahalin sila lola at lolo? Paano ntin mapapakita ang pagmamahal natin sa kanila? c. Closure – Moral of the story Mga bata lagi nating tandaan na matanda na sina lola at lolo. Medyo mahina na ang kanilang katawan at hindi na nakakatakbo ng mabilis o nakakabuhat ng mabibigat na bigay.
  • 4. Malabo narin ang kanilang mga mata. Hindi na nila masyadong nababasa ang maliliit na mga letra sa libro o telebisyon. Dahil dito dapat lang natin silang alagaan, mahalin at respetuhin dahil inalagaan at minahal din nila tayo at ang ating mga magulang nung bata tayo. V. Evaluation (Art) a. Title of Activity: Letter Letter to lolo and lola b. Description: Students will make a love letter to their lolos and lola to show appreciation and love for her in their own simple way. Aside from this, letters are good remembrance of the students’ happy childhood with their grandparents. c. Procedure 1. Students will dip their hands in the paint color of their choice. They will stamp it on the left side of the paper. After stamping, have the children wash their hands and dry it. 2. When the paint is dry already, the children will paste cut heart outs on the hand stamp as if the hand is blowing kisses. They will write their message inside the heart. 3. Students will write their age to complete the sentence “Hawak mo ang kamay na ito noong ____ na taon pa lamang ako.” 4. After with the left side of the paper, the students will draw their fondest memory with their grandparents on the right side of the paper. They may use stickers to decorate the letter. d. Photo of a Sample Final Product (NOT to be shown to the students)
  • 5. Other Information Needed: A. Classroom Management Techniques a. Students are not listening Call students attention by their names. Teachers may also say “Hello Name, handa ka na ba?”, “Pwede mo bang ishare yung pinaguusapan niyo dito sa harapan?”, “Pakiramdam ko hindi pa yata handa makinig si Name.” b. Students are not answering your questions Teacher will first five the answer to her questions saying, “Sige si teacher muna ha tapos kayo naman…” After telling the answer, the teacher can call the child’s name and guide her through use of clue words such as “Una, tapos, at huli..” c. Students are not following your directions Teacher will ask the student to stop the activity and the teacher will directly demonstrate the directions and the students will follow her. d. Students are not participating in the music and art activities Teacher will ask the child if he/she has a problem. The teacher will do everything she can to help solve the child’s problem. On the otherhand if the child wishes no to participate at all, seclude from the class to avoid distractions and give him choice activities. B. Sponge Activities Regalo Kay Lola at Kay Lolo - Children will think of something they would like to gift to their grandparents / elders. - Children will form this gift with clay. - Children can decorate this with small materials like buttons, clips, etc.
