Easy To Use and Fully Featured: The sewing functions of the
CS5055PRW are controlled with a simple to use LCD display. This
allows computerized stitch selection. You simply select one of the
50 built in stitches you want to sew on the display, and the
machine sews that stitch automatically. There are a wide variety
of utility and decorative stitches to choose from. The LCD also
displays the length and width of each stitch. Both stitch length
and stitch width are adjustable using the key pad on the machine.
The stitch width can be adjusted up to 7mm. This display also

stitch. Upper thread tension is adjustable by dial so you can
adjust as desired for various types of thread and fabric.

The Story of Brother The root of the Brother Group dates back
to 1908, when Kanekichi Yasui started a repair Business for
sewing machines. His business was succeeded by his son,
Masayoshi Yasui, who had a great ambition to manufacture
sewing machines that would surpass all machines manufactured
outside Japan and “develop the import-based industry into the
export-based industry.” At that time, almost all the sewing
machines were foreign-made.
As a foothold toward manufacturing home sewing machines in
Japan, he started manufacturing a chain stitch sewing machine
for producing straw hats, which he had been familiar with through
his repair experience. Following this, his younger brother Jitsuichi
Yasui succeeded in developing a shuttle hook, the most vital
component of sewing machines. Supported by this success, the
Brother’s first sewing machine was produced in 1932. The
brothers worked to realize this ambitious dream be even
manufacturing the machinery required for the production of the
sewing machines themselves. This spirit of “independent
development” was succeeded as the DNA of Brother.
