In their session, they shared how to free up space on your main campus and evaluate issues in interdisciplinary planning at your institution using two Carnegie Mellon University project case studies.
During this project Google provided our team with access to Project Tango, an advanced augmented reality technology that is set to define the future of AR . Our task was to apply this technology to a problem that one of AKQA's clients was experiencing. We applied Project Tango to the home improvements market with the intent of selling-in the product to one of AKQA's named clients already in the software industry.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

pre-existing home while following the National
Kitchen and Bath guidelines. Providing working
drawings, hand rendered perspective, and a material
board.

Objective: To design a traditional style bathroom that
accommodates two people, while following the
National Kitchen and Bath guidelines. Providing
working drawings, hand rendered perspective, and a

7. 2020 Kitchen.
Objective: To become familiar with 2020 design
software by creating a kitchen and selecting
finishes and furniture.
8. Kiosk.
Objective: To design a freestanding kiosk for
installation in an international airport with the
maximum size of 200sq ft. Providing a complete 3D
SketchUp model, packaging, and a material board.
9. Trout Pond.
Objective: Work with a partner to design a
sustainable house for a couple and create a 3D
physical model to scale. Providing the site plan,
material board, perspective and a sustainability
poster.
11. 2020 Kitchen Renovation.
Objective: To design a European contemporary style
kitchen, with island seating, dining area and a pin board
area using an existing floor plan.
13. Retail.
Objective: Design a retail space, cash desk and displays
within a given area including a storage area and a accessible
bathroom. Providing a complete set of working drawings, 3D
SketchUp model, perspectives enhanced with Photoshop and
a material board.
