3. RETAIL STORE
Using the plan from a mall, choosing from two spaces students were to create a
retail store. Everything to be designed including the logo, merchandise as well as
the store itself

Edited in Photoshop to create a stronger visual representation of the space.

5. RESTAURANT DESIGN PROJECT
BONDS WAS DESIGNED WITH LAVISHNESS IN MIND. THE RICH
AND DARK INTERIOR IS USED TO CREATE A DYNAMIC AND
GLAMOROUS DINING EXPERIENCE, DIRECTLY INSPIRED BY
JAMES BOND CONCEPTS AND THE LUXURY OF THE JET SET ERA.
ANTIQUE HOLLYWOOD MIRROR TILES ARE USED ON THE
CEILING TO CREATE EXTRA SHINE WITHOUT BEING
OVERWHELMING, WHILE THE DARK WALL TILES CREATE AN
INTIMATE FEELING. THE DARK THEME IS CONTINUED
THROUGHOUT THE SPACE WITH ACCENTS OF GOLD TRIM TO
REINFORCE THE ELEGANCE. LARGE DIAMOND CHANDELIERS
AND PENDANTS HANG WHILE ADDING EXTRA ALLURE TO THE
RESTAURANT.
THE CHARMING DESIGN AND CONCEPTS OF THIS ERA ARE
EMPLOYED FROM FLOOR TO CEILING. IN THE MAIN DINING
AREA, A LARGE MURAL COMPLETELY PULLS THE CONCEPTS
TOGETHER, MAKING THIS CLASSY AND ELEGANT SPACE SURE TO
PLEASE.

12. SHADE AND SHADOW
Using a photograph taken, task was to duplicate image to best capabilities using
learned rendering techniques in a greyscale format.

13. ROOM RENDERING
Assignment was to take a drawn room and fully render it using learned techniques
and skills.

14. 2020 KITCHEN DESIGN
With use of the 2020 program, students were given a floor plan and survey form to design the
space.

15. SKETCHUP CABIN
Students were given a floor plan in which they were to import and bring up into
SketchUp. Cabin was required to be fully furnished, painted and set in a yard.

16. TROUT POND PROJECT
With a given area of land, one spot was to be chosen and a house to be fully
designed from ground up. House to include consideration towards green design
and aging in place.

Project was to depict knowledge of house construction through use of a model.

20. 2017 NKBA STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION
Each year the NKBA gives students the opportunity to take on a remodeling challenge. Students are provided the client
profile, floor plan and the survey form. From these sources the students then create a remodeled solution that they see
best fit.
