This document provides a brief history of science and technology in the Philippines. It describes developments in the pre-colonial era including herbal medicines, farming techniques, and pottery. During colonial Spanish rule, advances were made in education, religion, sanitation, agriculture, and engineering. In the post-colonial era, the government established several research institutes and the Department of Science and Technology to promote scientific development in areas like agriculture, astronomy, and coconut and textile industries.
