Let’s face it. Enterprise isn’t sexy… yet. While the consumer space is now driven by user-centered design and design-driven products, Enterprise is still getting up to speed. And that presents a huge opportunity for UX designers to have a real and tangible impact on millions of peoples day-to-day. This talk will provide a brief overview of the opportunity in the B2B space, and provide some practical guidance on some of its specific challenges:
• Working with stakeholders who aren’t familiar with UX
• Legacy products and the art of compromise
• Enterprise users – tips on finding these mythical creatures
Based on his experience at Airbnb and research with companies like Pinterest and Gusto, Jason offers a clear framework for scaling UX quality, processes, and teams.
Creating and Scaling an Enterprise Design Systemuxpin
You'll learn:
- How to create a unified design language for a complex organization.
- How to use the most efficient processes and tools for maintaining the design system.
- How to scale code and interaction patterns across platforms and products.
How large companies can be as fast and agile as the successful startups? And what is MVP and Dual-track Agile, anyway? We are to discuss a real case of implementation of some methods of Lean Startup and Customer Development in Kaspersky Lab.
How to create new processes to sustain a design system
How to evolve the way companies build and ship products
How to decide on a governance model for design systems
Lane describes how some traditional user interview methods can be adapted to be more quick, visual, collaborative and continuous.

You can’t know whether your agile project is maximising is impact unless you gather customer feedback. But the feedback that comes to you is not always the full story.
This talk looks at why you should actively go an get user feedback with usability testing, and how to go about doing your first usability test.
What is a Minimum Viable Product? How does it relate to and impact UX practice? And what are some strategies we can apply in designing them. MVPs are, in my view, core to an effective Agile/Lean UX practice, and in this talk I offer an introduction to what an MVP is and provide some strategies for how to go about designing an effective MVP. I gave this talk at IA Konferenz 2013 in Berlin. It's an updated version of a talk I gave at Hackers & Founders in Barcelona in 2012.

MUXL Conference 2017 - STRATIS VALACHIS - Aviva - The Future of Conversationa...MobileUXLondon
MUXL was proud to present its third edition of the annual Mobile UX London Conference - https://mobileuxlondon.com
Stratis Valachis is currently leading the design of Aviva’s Al and Conversational insurance and long term finance through centred design. He is passionate about the future of AL and Human Computer Interaction and the ways they can help us redefine our everyday lives
There has been a renaissance in conversational interfaces over the last few years. More and more businesses are using bots with interfaces that emulate human to human conversations to meet the needs of their customers, with some believing that conversations are going to eventually become the primary way of interacting with computers. It sounds simple: talking and chatting comes natural to us, so we should be moving towards communicating with machines in the same way, but is it?
Despite the hype, at the moment both voice and chat interactions have various usability issues that very often prevent them from providing a great user experience. In my talk, I will be drawing on my experience leading Aviva’s conversational UX projects to discuss what those usability issues are and how can designers work around them. I will also share my thoughts on how the conversational interface will evolve by incorporating elements from various types of interaction and modalities to meet user needs in a more effective way.

Julian is a Senior User Experience designer at Samsung. Having started as an industrial designer he found the world of experiences that hardware and software working in unison produce irresistible. He likes to be the “why and what” guy in leading and lagging organisations that need to update their product portfolio. Julian’s focus lies in strategic thinking within diverse teams, working with methodologies that foster strategic innovation, deploying them through digital experiences that can have a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
When it comes to IOT, there is much talk and little movement to justify the excitement and optimism surrounding it. Are there methodologies through which value can be consistently extracted from the promise of connected everything? Julian will walk you through some of the approaches he validated when working with complex challenges that both previous employers and Samsung face in this emerging economy of smart objects.

Christophe is the co-founder of Somewhere Else, a London-based creative consultancy and production house specialised in immersive technologies (VR/AR/MR). After 8 years spent between digital strategy consultancy and music events production, Christophe started Somewhere Else to help brands, agencies and innovators harness the power of VR/AR/MR to win in the Age of Experience.
Working with the likes of Samsung, Three and ExxonMobil, Somewhere Else has enable brands in the fashion, retail and entertainment sectors to build deeper relationships with their audiences through powerful VR experiences. Christophe is a regular VR blogger and a member of the Uni-VR think tank. He has recently delivered talks at the Awwwards LDN, the AR/VR Show and the Virtual Reality Show as well as conducted VR workshops for top creatives at agencies such as Ogilvy, FCB Inferno, IDEO and OMD.
Storytelling in VR represents a paradigm shift for creators. We’re moving away from author-directed linear narratives and into the realm of world-building. The spectator becomes a visitor: the actual author of a story within a world designed for him. This is the age of Audience Experience design, a new era where creators have to put themselves in their audience’s shoes and understand their cognitive, emotional and physical experience. The talk will look at the following topics among others: the death of the author, behavioural design, the body as a computer interface, designers as storyscapers. Each concept will be illustrated by existing VR/MR experiences.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.
