Therefore, each division should be autonomous in its decision making. This,
however, is not the case with our company. As a matter of fact, the corporate office
is influencing and forcing divisions to make the buy and sell decisions from each
other at the instructed price of 1.25 times of full production costs. To be a true profit
center, the divisions should have the authority to determine and negotiate prices of
their products either based on market or through internal resources to ensure
profitability. In addition, to be able to ensure operational excellence, managing the
costs such as production cost, administrative and selling overheads, should be a

The intervention from the corporate office is rather a de motivating factor for ED
when the division is not allowed to sell at the market price and it cannot sell
disregarding the internal clients in the market to be profitable. On the other hand SD
was taking the benefit of this low transfer price from ED and a high transfer out price
to ID, thus reporting a ROI of 15%. When analyzing based on the market prices, we
noted that SD is in fact not contributing to the corporate profitability. That is another
shortcoming that the decisions of both divisions are affected; one is considering

Choice of language is one of the many ways one character can be distinguished
from another. If all the novel s characters speak in the same manner, there won t be
many ways to tell them apart. The way a person speaks can give insight on their
personality, upbringing and, even something as simple as age. Shelley s
characters all seem to speak with the same manner of speech. They all sound like
they are from upper class families. It s hard to distinguish one from the other
without indicators. The perfect example in this is found with Frankenstein s
monster. He learned to speak from books and listening to the people who lived in
the cottage he hid behind. This family would certainly would not have spoken in
the same fashion the Frankenstein family did. Yet, when the monster speaks he
sounds like Victor Frankenstein, an upper class gentleman. You also find this
issue with William Frankenstein, Victor s younger brother. William is supposed to
be six years old. His speech, however, is that of someone three times his age.
William Frankenstein talks like everyone else in the book. Thus, it s hard to
imagine him as a child. This is what makes novels so unique and a character s
speech so important. The only image the reader has of these people is that which is
created in their minds. When a young boy talks like a man, it s hard to see him as a
young boy. The image is distorted. Authors who have been writing for a long time
know this and try to match their writing to their character s personality to provide a
clearer characterization for their

Alcohol consumption is an important social concern for many people. This study
opted to analyze how gender affects the level of alcohol consumption among college
students. After conducting a survey with 30 participants, the results proved that H1
hypothesis Gender significantly affects the level of alcohol consumption was
validated with a p value of 0.026. Additionally, H2 hypothesis Men significantly
consume more alcohol than women do was also validated with a mean of 2.4 in terms
of consumption. H3 hypothesis Women significantly consume more alcohol than
men do was nullified because of the average mean being only 1.27. The p value of
significance provided insight on the level of alcohol consumption, further solidifying
the claim. It can be therefore concluded that gender played an important role as a
determiner of the impact on level of alcohol consumption and men tend to consume

to her best friend about losing her virginity and the rumour spreads around the
school. Soon after she also lies about having sex with guys and gets paid to do so
causing others to assume she is a prostitute. In anger, she marks her clothes with

the film until finally, someone tries to make her lies a reality. In the end, she tells
