politicians, academics, and the general public. We are, in our quotidian existence,
unwittingly exposed to a stunning amount of sensorial stimulation. Much of this
stimulation comes from film, a form of media that has captivated sociologists,
psychologists, and philosophers. In the Frankfurt School, Max Horkheimerand
Theodor Adorno interpret the sociopolitical implications of film differently from
Walter Benjamin. Horkheimer and Adorno see film as a means to deceive and
manipulate the proletariat although Benjamin critiques capitalist exploitation of film,
he argues that film can serve revolutionary purposes. In the context of historical film,
Benjamin s arguments are more convincing than Horkheimer and Adorno s; film is
not inherently authoritarian or oppressive. Rather, the manner film is employed socio
politically is what defines its roles in mass culture. In The Culture Industry:
Enlightenment as Mass Deception, Horkheimer and Adorno argue that the

Division 1 student athletes have a very busy schedule. To be a Division 1 student
athlete you must have great time management skills, determination, and be focused.
For them to be successful in the classroom and in their sport, they have a very tough
decision. They must pick two of the three: social life, academics, or athletics. They
must also realize that they need to make the decision before they make a mistake for
instance, becoming ineligible. Student athletes have many options for help, just as a
average college student does. Student athletes need to have more readily available
resources but also use their time wisely through counseling as freshman.

Some people who have never participated in extracurricular activities may ask, What
is so different between a student athlete s day compared to an average college student

Recycling is a process where waste materials are transformed into new products to
prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw
materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water
pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for conventional wastedisposal, and
lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production.
Steel is the most important material in construction simply because it always
contains recycled content. It is completely recyclable at the end of its product life
and may be recycled an unlimited number of times without loss of quality. Steel is
100% recyclable, which means it can be reprocessed into the same material of the

this order. What made the king bring the troops to Paris, was that he wanted to
make sure to have control over the crowds from food riots from the rising grain
prices, them not having enough bread to feed the people of Paris, and bring back
of order to the city. This action of having them on standby, was in the minds of the
people was increasing fear of the army, when they were moving closer to the city.
What the people thought of this actions, was a conspiracy against them. The kind of
the fears they had were of the other side, and it was escalating very fast, and it was

urban area marked by crowding, dirty run down housing, poverty, and social
disorganisation . Though there are multitudes of definitions for the word slum ,
few of them are actually very differing from each other generally, it is mutually
agreed that a slum is an crowded urban district inhabited by many people who are
affected by poverty. One district that displays these qualities is the area of Dharavi.
The third largest slum in the world, Dharavi is located in the west of Mumbai, India
