software: stock assessment data, Geospatial layers, species

Use of publicly available information only with proper
citation: GBIF, OBIS, Catalog of Life, Marine Regions, Copernicus
with proper citation
Students can bring their own data and decide to give them
restricted access

Current teaching approach Lecture-style: the course topics stress is different depending on the audience Interactive: after each explained topic, students do experiments Experimental: students reproduce the experiment shown by the teacher and possibly repeat it on their own data Social: students communicate via messaging or VRE discussion panel
  • 17. Method 1. The teacher shares a folder through the Workspace and makes Training material available 2. Students join the same Virtual Research Environment 3. Students produce data and upload them in a folder on the Workspace they share with the teacher 4. Uploaded data are notified to the teacher and represent certification that the students have worked correctly 5. Final tests are done using the same approach
