My music magazine aimed to follow conventions of the genre but also challenged them at times. It used a vintage lifestyle magazine as an example of conventions, such as placing the title at the top of the page. My magazine challenged conventions by putting the tagline above the title rather than below, and locating the main headline in the bottom center rather than the top. It also placed pricing and barcodes on opposite sides of each magazine cover image rather than following conventions.

My magazine tried to follow the convention of my genre of music magazines, but at
times challenged it. To show this convention I used the magazine Vintage Life, which
may not be a music magazine but still follows the convention that vintage magazines
follow.
Withthese twomagazines,we see thatthe conventionsare followedquitewell withthe magazine.
We see thatthe Vintage magazine onthe lefthasthe ideaof the title at the top of the page, as does
