This document presents a summary of a presentation on analyzing the non-linear response of reinforced concrete walls under blast loading. The presentation aims to critically review Indian codal provisions for blast-resistant buildings by calculating the natural time period of blast loading and comparing to other international standards. It develops a spreadsheet model for a single degree of freedom system representing a single-story building wall. The presentation performs non-linear analysis of the wall and draws conclusions on improving Indian code provisions based on the results.

9. AIM OF THE STUDY
To review the specification IS:4991-1968 in comparison with
other norms available to provide inputs required for the up
gradation of IS norm under current scenario of blasts.

10. OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
