2. Review Of Sci Fi
Sci fi Paper Synopsis My sci fi paper will be about humanity s first trip to Mars. It will explore the
challenges, as well as the luxuries, of being on this first manned mission to Mars. A crew of over
100 of the Earth s best scientists travel to a new world to explore and start a colony. This paper
will follow closely with Elon Musk s current plan to put humans on Marsin the not so distant future,
and will look into the advanced technologies developed for this purpose.
A New World
(Intro) There are many questions that need to be answered about how to successfully put
humans on Mars and eventually colonize this new world. Yet there are also several new
technological advances that have been made or are planned for the near future that will make
this groundbreaking mission possible. Some of these critical questions that need to be
answered include the following: How will humans have access to drinkable water on Mars?
How will humans handle and adapt to a lower gravity environment? What kind of rocket will be
used to send humans to Mars? When can we expect that technology to be ready? How is all of
this technology supposed to work to put humans on Mars? By answering these questions, we will
create a picture of what it will look like when humans finally make it to Mars and start to colonize
that new world. Before we dig into the details of the technology, it is important to first ask, why
should humans go to Mars? What do we gain from going to Mars? Many scientists have a

3. The Rolling Stone Redaction.
The Rolling Stone Redaction was the mistake waiting to happen as a result of journalistic
desperation on the Rolling Stones part, as the once iron clad story s eggshell are torn asunder
by the increasing lack of verifiability. Only to reveal a viscous trail with no clear substance. As
The Rolling Stone began on this path, they put aside safeguards that would normally have sent
the story to the bin, ignoring conflicting information from the other sources and only focusing on
the main. That is when they gathered from other sources, as the paper has a distinct lack of
transparency when it deals with the testimony of other people, with most coming from the one
source. Jackie, who as the facts stacked toward and against, had discrepancies in her story
tipping the scales away from believability, and into fantastical dreams. A story can have one
source that it draws heavily upon, however, there has to be evidence to go along with it. In the
aftermath with multiple sources coming up and stating facts contrary to the story, there has to be
the question of why Erdely did not contact them, which, while the answer has its credible
reasoning of not disturbing Jackie, the Rolling Stone should have reached them for comment, as
opposed to Jackie asking by proxy, adding a second hand account that could have and was, utterly
false. Prioritization also was an issue in this, while Erdely focused more on exposing the
University of Virginia for poor policy and rampant sexual crime, as opposed

4. Summarise Entitlement And Provision For Early Years...
Since 2004, all children in the UK aged three and four years old have been entitled to free places
at nursery or another preschool setting (including childminders). From 1st September 2010 the
Government extended these hours from 12.5 to 15 hours for up to 38 weeks of the year.
The free entitlement provides universal access to early childhood education and care, ensuring that
all children have the opportunity to benefit from early years education. The extended hours also
supports parents who wish to go back to work or develop their careers through further education by
providing affordable daycares.
There are different types of childcare options available for early years, these include: Sure Start

children are ready for school and gives them a wide range of knowledge and skills that provide the
right foundation for them and to ensure that they make good progress through school and life in the
future.
The provision made is about supporting young children for every country in the UK. It is based on
the idea that young children learn through play rather than formal learning, as play is an important
and successful thing in children s early learning.
England: The Foundation Curriculum runs from the age of 3 to 5 years, starting at nursery through

learning, development and welfare for all children from birth to five.
Wales: The foundation phase extends from the ages of 3 to 7, which combines early years and key

5. Restoring Net Neutrality
Restoring Net Neutrality is an issue because the world wide net should be open to everyone for
their free speech. It is also important to small businesses who would have to pay what is
basically a ransom for a free internet and fair amount of advertising. Many people express
themselves or issues online each day, and when ISP s with opposing views blocks these people, it
should be considered a violation of free speech. This is important to me because my school is 1:1
and I have to research topics for projects throughout the year. Slowing down internetor blocking
elements can stop me from viewing important information related to my projects. I also use it to
interact with my friends online. I suggest that you do something to help Net Neutrality.

6. Contrasting Interactions with the Environment Depicted in...
How is our character revealed through our interaction with the natural world around us? Do we
adapt to fit in with nature, or do we force the landscape to conform to our ideals of lifestyle? In the
short story The Shining Houses , Alice Munro addresses the contrast in lifestyle ideologies between
two generations through their interactions with the natural environmentthey populate. The older
generation is content to live in harmony with the existing natural world and develop its
infrastructure amongst the present landscape. Meanwhile, the younger generation believes in
destroying the original terrain by constructing a new environmentfitted to a theme of exoticism and
novelty. The observation of such interaction with the environment... Show more content on

Construction of the city consumes minimal resources because the assets already present are
conserved rather than destroyed. The houses themselves, although unpainted and patched are
simple but effective structures. This shows how rather than dwelling on superfluous aesthetics, the
older generation devotes itself to more fruitful endeavors. For example, residences sport compost
heaps. The implementation of such devices preserves and recycles many resources, further
emphasizing the conservative ideology of the older generation. While their practical lifestyle is
compared to savagery by the younger generation, the city of the old generation is really an example
of their efficiency.
On the contrary, the lifestyle of the younger generation is one that embraces radical alteration of the
surrounding environment to match a visual image created by the movers in. Young men, unfamiliar
with manual labor, work hard to cut and burn the bushes which surround their homes, in the hopes
that in two years their yards may be decorated by ornamental shrubs . Either they have very specific
tastes in exotic shrubbery or they have despicable planning skills. The fact that the men are young
professionals would suggest the former. Even so, they persist at their contradictory task during the
weekend. The fact that such weekends could be spent with family would suggest that the priority

8. Fitness Plan For A Leisure Wellness Plan
Introduction As counselors we are required to take care of one s mental health and wellness. We
have holistic, nurturing and client centered training. In doing so many counselors help their clients
out by making a Leisure wellness plan. This plan is something that a client or individual can follow
to keep themselves healthy and active. A Leisureplan is something that makes you help yourself
feel better emotionally, mentally and physically. As stated by Elizabeth Venart a private
practitioner (2011), The Importance of self care is overtly discussed and modeled by faculty, and
the curriculum of each course includes an emphasis on self assessment and reflection as well as
the development and implementation of concrete wellness plans and practices (p.47). Leisure is
seen as relaxing but at the same time working to take care of yourself to create the best version of
you.
Why do we need Wellness and Leisure?
Keeping well is required for counselors and health care workers. Being in such a stressful field
means that one must maintain a healthy and well lifestyle. Assessing one s self care not only
helps the counselor grow as an individual it helps them see difficulties in others. One s thinking
could be clouded and faced with stress due to lack of self care. If a client doesn t treat themselves
right it s going be more difficult for them to move on from their current issue. By staying strong
and keeping active makes your mind and body feel at ease and causes less tension. By

9. Human Relationship With Waterfowl
Humans have a very influential relation ship with waterfowl, theres two sides to it. On one side
humans have completely changed waterfowls natural migrating path. With the modern
expansion of cities, certain species have adapted and now use them as refuges, such as the
Canada goose. Through climate change humans have disrupted waterfowls natural patterns of
migration, and most species are un able to adapt quickly enough to the rapidly changing
temperatures. The other side of humans relationship with waterfowl is that through our modern
agriculture practices waterfowl don t necessarily need to migrate to get food, only to leave the
cold. Most waterfowl species take advantage of the surplus grain left in agriculture fields, some
of which have became overpopulated and harm other species of waterfowl. With the increase of
agriculture fields, wetlands have been destroyed and in tern waterfowl have lost a significant
number of areas to breed and reproduce in. There is a overpopulation of certain species and a
decrease in wetlands, it is important to stop both of these issues otherwise certain species will be
taken over by. Hunters and bird watchers are those who are primarily concerned with these issues,
but other out doors mans such as fisherman should be concerned. As shown in The Role of
Waterfowl in Lower Great Lakes Aquatic Food Webs by M. L. Schummer and S. A. Petrie,
waterfowl play a important role in maintaining the food webs for fish. It is crucial that action is

Being that Bismark Bock is the primary issue concerning profit for SDM it would be most
important to target and lower costs pertaining to that line. The biggest expense for the bock is
shipping ($150.48), which is based on number of orders (18). If the company consolidated
shipping by half the orders instead of shipping each order separately, they could reduce orders to
9, which would make the shipping cost $75.24. This minor change would be huge for SDM
because it would change their current loss to a gain of $35.74 per batch. The company could also
explore automating some of their processes to decrease labor hours, which would bring down
overall overhead costs or finding new suppliers for cheaper ingredients, which would decrease the
direct materials cost.
5. Regardless of the allocation system used, the total net income for the year will not change
because the overall manufacturing overhead cost does not change. However, it is important to use
a more accurate allocation method because it allows company s to make decisions based on
specific areas that might be driving costs up that may not show up when costs are allocated based
on one driver.

This book is boring. This book is full of facts. I fell asleep reading this book. These are the
nonfiction genre stereotypes that most people think. Erik Larson changed that stereotype and
wrote a nonfiction book with real characters and overall facts. The Devil in the White City does
not only tell an elaborating true story, but it tries to grab the reader to believe that they are
actually living in 1893 during the Chicago World s Fair trials and tribulations. To tell this story,
Larson combines qualities of a nonfiction book and a generic novelto successfully craft a narrative
built on historical facts, therefore developing distinct persons in the cases and elaborating on what
their possible feelings were. The Devil in the White City is extended biographies of Daniel
Burnham and H.H. Holmes that show the hectic troubles that happened during the World s Fair in
the nineteenth century. Novels tell fictional stories with fictional characters. Instead of making up a
story, Larson emphasizes Burnham and Holmes true stories. Anyone could have wrote about the

20. Persuasive Speech On Transgenders In The Military
Transgender Military Ban
Discrimination is still a major issue all over the world in today s society. For instance, In the
United States, transgenders have now been banned to serve in the military. These people deserve
the potential and capability to defend their nation. Many close minded people come to the
conclusion that transgenders are weak and it is affecting our military when in reality they are doing
the complete opposite. They deserve to be treated equally and be given the same rights because
they are also a human and deserve the same respect. The overall best decision is to lift the ban
and apologize for taking away their rights or else there will never be equality in our society.
Just a year ago, transgenders were given the right to freely serve in the military, but now Donald
Trump took away their ability to do so. On July 26, Trump tweeted, Our military must be forced on
decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and
disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you. (Trump) He has called these
certain soldiers a burden because the costs are going to medical purposes instead of strengthening
the military. Although this may be true to an extent, it is not a very reasonable reason to take away
their right to serve. A study has shown that the treatments would cost, ... we expect only a 0.13

23. The American Fur Company
Question#02:
How did the environment of the American Fur Company change in the 1830 s? What deep
historical forces are implicated in these changes?
The American Fur Company:
The American Fur Company was founded by John Jacob Astor in 1808. The company grew to
monopolize the fur trade in the United States by 1830, and became one of the largest businesses in
the country.
In early 1830 s it seemed nothing could slow Astor. But this environment suddenly changed for fur
companies. Although the American Fur companywas still competing with other Fur companies,
unfavorable trends were building that would bring it down.

By the Standards of Today:
By analyzing the treatment received by the stakeholders of the fur industry in the 19th century with
the modern world standards, we come to know that they were treated highly unethically.
As they crushed the competition and exploited the workers monopolize the markets so these all
thing are highly unethical according to the today s standards and there are proper laws regarding
these unethical activities and whoever performs such activities are charged with fines and
punishments.
Question#05: On balance, is the legacy of the American fur company and of the fur trade itself a
positive legacy? Or is the impact predominantly negative?
American Fur Company and the Fur trade itself is a sort of positive legacy with all its faults and
shortcomings. It was in fact the main actor in the global industry with enormous geopolitical
power. It marked the trails that were followed by the settlers. It is very true to say that American
Fur Company and the Fur trades were the pathfinder of the civilization. Civilization which was

24. The Use Of Nanopolymers For Biomedical Purposes
Statement of the problem:
The driving forces behind this work are related to the increased use of nanopolymers for
biomedical purposes. Charged and neutral polymers are routinely used for gene and drug delivery.
However, limited studies are performed to test their safety. Therefore, the originality of this work
lies in its attempt to evaluate the toxicity of three widely used polymers for delivery of
chemotherapeutic agents. Furthermore, we aim to establish efficient methods for nanotoxicity
testing through comparing the results of three different models ( 2D, 3D invitro cell cultures and
invivo zebrafish embryo)preparing these materials for clinical application.
Abstract
Nanomaterials exhibit a wide range of applications in different aspects of human life . In
biomedical fields, nanoparticles are packaged into different nanocarriers for drug and gene
delivery especially for improving the delivery of chemotherapeutic agents to tumors. However, no
sufficient data that detect their toxicity. In the present study, the toxicity of three different
polymers that represent promising drug carriers will be evaluated using 2D, 3D cell cultures and
zebrafish embryos. The polymers to be studie include the well known cationic transfection agents
Poly(ethylenimine) (PEI) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) for their established cytotoxicity as
well as the uncharged drug carrier material pHPMA (i.e. poly(N 2 hydroxypropyl)

Legalizing drugs in the United States would lead to great trouble for the country affecting all
citizens. Legalizing drugs will cause chaos among Americans. Edmund Harnett a deputy chief and

Harnett is also involved in the narcotics division of the New York police department. William J.
Bennett the director of the national drug control policy wrote a heavy article, Drug Policy and the
Intellectuals. James Q. Wilson has a political science degree and is the author of many crime
articles including, Against the Legalization of Drugs. Disorder is the last thing this country needs
from legalizing drugs. The legalization of drugs is undesirable because it would ruin relationships,
would harm the safety of everyone, and would promote violence.
Many people in favor of legalization feel that drugs would not have a negative impact of families
or other relationships. However, All relationships would be in jeopardy if drugs were legalized.
Suffering would be placed on the lives of many family members for their lifetime. Watching a drug
addiction is painful and would most likely cause grief between relationships. Drugs create trust

26. Antidepressants During Pregnancy Research Paper
Abstract
With the increase of depression among many women, the risk for neonatal deficiencies may be
linked to medications used during pregnancy. It is speculated that there are a multitude of health
risks to the fetus if an expecting mother is prescribed antidepressants for Major Depressive
Disorders. It is also hypothesized that there may be long term effects to the child after birth if the
mother of the child was taking antidepressants during her pregnancy. Postnatal psychological
effects may be due to the onset of the drugs during pregnancy, and there may be a link between a
child s physical and psychological state once born, due to the drugs, but is not correlated to women
that have used antidepressants before pregnancy. Results identify that there are many negative
effects of antidepressants use during pregnancy.

Depression during pregnancy impacts the emotional well being between a mother and child,
resulting in a lost connection between the two. It has been suggested that a lesser maternal
attachment can be correlated with depression. Women lacking emotion in their relationships often
suffer from depression (Haedt, A., Keel, P., 2007). The deficit of an interpersonal maternal
relationship can be linked back to the mother s onset of depression during pregnancy. Symptoms of
depression are known psychological factors that may contribute to higher rates of negative birth
outcomes in women (Giurgescu, C., Engeland, C. G., Templin, T. N. ,2015). This lack of emotion
between a mother and her child can have ultimately negative effects on the child s attachment and
emotional well being. Just as women with postpartum depression, it is difficult for women with
depression during pregnancy to feel close to their offspring, which could lead to emotional or

27. Essay on Byron s Don Juan
Byron s Don Juan No Formal Ending is Needed
Lord Byron s chief masterpiece is probably the comic epic Don Juan, which occupied its author
from 1818 until nearly the end of his life (Trueblood 14 15). The sheer length of the poem is in
itself impressive; its seventeen cantos take Juan through a variety of adventures, including the
famous affair with Donna Julia, the sojourn with Haidee, experiences in Turkey and later in Russia
as a slave, and finally episodes in England among high society (Boyd 22 30). Remarkably, however,
Don Juan as Byron left it is obviously unfinished. Further, the poem was not published in an
absolutely complete form until nearly eighty years after Byron s death (Steffan III 562). The
unfinished state of Don ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A great variety of conjecture is employed in them as to the fate of the poem s hero; among the
conclusions one finds Juan saving Aurora Raby from fire, travelling to Scotland, being guillotined
in the French Revolution, and turning into a reformed man who spends much of his time in prayer,
in accordance with the values of the rising Victorian period (Chew 136ff.).
But none of these seems to capture the true Byronic spirit. Samuel C. Chew, who describes these
pseudo Juans in detail, summarizes his findings:
On the whole, despite some scanty exceptions to the contrary, poverty of invention and servile
imitation of Byron s mannerisms, with no ray of his genius, characterize the entire series of
continuations . . . . [With a possible exception or two,] not one merits for its own sake even such
feeble renewal of life as is given it in the pages of this article (146 7).
The editions of the true Don Juan available in the nineteenth century certainly encouraged these
spurious sequels; they lacked the fragmentary seventeenth canto Byron had written before going to
Greece (Coleridge 1013n.). Consequently, the reader of that day was left with a far more abrupt
ending than we now have: at Canto XVI s end, Juan, who thinks he is encountering a ghost, puts
forth his hand to touch it and unmasks her frolic Grace Fitz Fulke, who has had a lustful eye on
him ever

One way Cowslip s warren differs from Sandleford and Hazel s warren is that it is perceived as a

I needed a more detailed account of the history and practices of the Swedish American Church.
What were the interactions like between the churches in America and the churches in Sweden?
How did different denominations function and interact? I choose to include this article because the
author answers these questions in the specific context of hymns. Hymns embody the experiential
nature of religion as songs of adoration and worship. The author of the article, George Ericson,
begins by detailing the evolution of hymns through various religious movements in Swedish
history. He focuses on the transatlantic transfer of hymns between America and Sweden. This
source reiterates the importance of Martin Luther and the Reformation. Olavus Petri published the
first Hymnal in the common language as a result of the Reformation (Ericson 103). Hymns shaped
the experience of religion for the common person. Different waves of religious revival inspired new
hymns to be written. The pietism movement... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Baptist, Methodist, and Pentecostal hymns were translated from English to Swedish during the
19th century. Often these songs would be sung to traditional folk tunes (despite some criticism).
Some immigrants would even return to Sweden and share lively tunes and inspiring lyrics on
preaching tours (Ericson 106). Unlike other countries, there was not an official connection between
the state church in Sweden and similar congregations in America. The adoption of new hymns
demonstrates the free churchly attitude apparent in the American Lutheran church. Free church
refers to a movement in Sweden in opposition to the state church which resulted in immigration.
From my other sources, I determined that religious motivations did not dominate Swedish
immigration. However, the love for certain hymns demonstrates a trend for Swedish believers to
distance their religious practice from the official church of

Monasteries during the medieval era were fundamental at creating the very basics of infrastructure
like libraries, water systems, and even providing for communities; however, they often would utilize
these as political tools to gain power and strength within the greater community. The monasteries
were the drop off point for monarchs and the wealthy to leave their wealth after death, thus this
allowed for the religious orders to attain wealth and deposit it back towards their community
through infrastructure. They were able to do this by holding a monopoly over education and
allowing donations to be the cost of getting into heaven. Because the monasteries scribed most of
the books at the time they were able to control the education system. The people around the
monasteries were in need of education from the teachers within the monasteries. Because of this the

Rio de Janeiro relies greatly on the Amazon river for food, water, and fertile soil to grow crops
for money. The Tijuca Forest is also a positive factor in our environment in that humans have
made a place for wild animals to live, thrive, and grow. Rio also has many bad human
interactions including polluted waterways, super bacteria, poaching, and zika, these are bad
actions by humans that are harming the environment, we can stop these bad interactions with the
environment by having better law enforcement and picking up more trash to make Rio a better
place. Rio has natural interactions too like mudslides and floods, in 2011 a flood attacked Rio
along with mudslides and landslides causing over 1,700 deaths. We have affected Rio and Rio
has affected us but if we help to preserve and keep Rio clean we will have this magnificent city for
a much longer

42. We All Fall Down(Why Tt Was Banned)
We All Fall Down Ring around the rosy, pocket full of posies, ashes, ashes, we all fall down.
This nursery rhyme and We All Fall Down are alike in a way. They both result in the falling of
dead bodies as they land on the ground, now corpses. The book We All Fall Down was banned
due to its violence and vandalism (Sova 2; We All Fall Down); the occurring sexual content
(Marshall University Libraries 1); and the alcoholic references and profanity (Cormier; occurring
theme) that haunt its pages. The book is worthwhile because it has such a suspenseful plot (Sova
1; We All Fall Down); its advanced vocabulary is enough to be at a college level and it teaches
good morals and values (Cormier; throughout book); and the book explores the... Show more

It was used mostly by the teenagers in their conversations with other characters to show just how
they felt about the situation at hand. Profanity was highly associated with the drinking that
occurred. Not only was alcohol used as a type of anti depressant, but it was done by under age
drinkers (Cormier; throughout book). Buddy Walker, one of the main characters, is a sixteen
year old and started to drink heavily after the divorce of his parents. Buddy began to hand out
with Harry and his goons and drank to have fun and forget all his worries. He bought his liquor
illegally and continued to drink even when in his relationship with Jane. Even when he was
happiest when with Jane, Buddy abused alcohol which became his own brand of heroine. Like
Buddy, most people do use alcohol as a way to escape and instead they should be using a proper
drug prescribed by doctors. I believe that though alcohol may seem like medicine, it is far from
it. It weakens slowly in the insides and confuses the brain to think it s better than any pharmacy
drugs. It s a hypnotizer and it performs its work best in all ages, even young teenagers like Buddy.
Even though We All Fall Down was banned, it has many points which make it worthwhile to read.
It has such a suspenseful plot that leaves you wanting more (Sova 1; We All Fall Down). The story
begins in such a matter of fact tone, detailing the horrors that initially set the

43. Belle Boyd ( 1843-1900 )
Nicole Sanders 3rd hour Belle Boyd (1843 1900) Belle Boyd was born in 1844 as the oldest of

in 1869 and married John Swanston Hammond. Soon after, Boyd suffered a mental collapse and
had her first soon in a Stockton insane asylum. She was discharged in 1870 and had three more

44. Gender Discrimination
Our social justice issue is gender discrimination. Gender Discrimination is a major thing going
on in our world today. Therefore, gender discrimination happens in things such as sports,
education, health, employment, laws, and in different countries. Gender discrimination was a
major thing in the past, and is still a major thing today. Men continually think women are weak,
and so women are targeted more in crimes. They also think that women won t stand up for
themselves, and women continually let men bring them down because they aren t brave
enough. In jobs they believe women won t work, and that women aren t capable enough to do
the job, so women end up getting paid less or have to work ridiculously short hours. Today in our
century, women are targeted more than men because they are considered weak. Being labeled
weak makes women are more vulnerable to at least one form of abuse. 1 in 3 women are abused
in some form at a time of their life by a man. Women are targeted for crimes, such as home break
ins, because if they live on their own, they are thought to not be able to defend themselves that
well. Women are also being killed all the time. In India, women are burned to death if they can t
meet financial requirements, while men aren t. In Egypt, women are killed if they do something
considered unclean in their family or outside their family. In South Asia more than 2 million baby
girls are killed or abandoned to die because they are considered a financial burden to the

46. Boredom Due to Media in Society Essay
Feminism has been around now for over a century, but now with countless opportunities for girls
in a variety of areas the girls interviewed are expressing their... boredom in society, and because of
this reported, studies have shown the increase in of mental disorders from 32% in 1999 to 44% in
2006. Due to this boredom a reliance on the visual media surrounding them allowed them to pick
on themselves with regards to their appearance. In terms of diet and lifestyle Becky Billing, was
just one of the girls interviewed in Sheffield community centre and is quoted throughout the article
many times. Because of the multiple quotes and examples from a range of different people I read

I feel that she uses two styles within her writing, one for the adults researchers and one for the
teenagers interviewed at the sheffield community centre... The adults style is more of an
informative and factual approach as it is to assume that they all have degrees in such matters and
have taken time to find the answers they are producing. This compared to the one used for the
girls is a change that is obvious but not bad. The girls have more of an informal method.
Reflecting the way they have spoken to the interviewer so the article becomes a smooth read
rather one that jumps around from style to style. Based on the authors conclusion The message is
that for modern teenage girls the encouragement to do better, look better and have more is almost
unbearable. They need help and they need it urgently not only for themselves but for the next
generation, whose mothers they will be I feel like she is trying to give the reader information, but
not to make them agree or disagree, it is meant to be read with an open mind and by someone who
has not yet formed an opinion of the subject. She states through researches that the world we live in
is surrounded by controversial images of such role models as Paris Hilton causing narcissism...
throughout highly consumerist, individualistic societies, which adds to the point that women suffer
disproportionately from the depression
