Biogas can be used as a fuel in stationary and mobile engines, to supply motive power, pump water, drive machinery (e.g., threshers, grinders) or generate electricity. It can be used in both spark and compression (diesel) engines. The spark ignition engine is easily modified to run on biogas by using a gas carburetor.

A Review: Biogas Production from Bakery Wasteijtsrd
The Anaerobic Digestion process is one of the non-thermal technologies of energy recovery from waste. Bakery waste is seen to be a very vital source of nutrient been unused. Bakery waste contains sugars which are easy to degrade along with other nutrients. There is an immense potential of extracting energy from bakery waste in form of biogas. The present paper states that an option of feedstock is available in form of bakery wastes like different varieties of bread, biscuits, rolls, donuts, pizza dough waste etc. underwent experimentations. Bread and biscuit waste for a retention time of 22 to 42 days produced methane 45% and above. The pH was found to be in a range of 5.3 to 7.4 for overall bakery waste. Biogas Synthesis as Means of Solid Waste Management in Kampala, UgandaScientific Review SR
Cattle dung, cooked food waste, and chicken droppings mixed with coffee husks have been used separately and also as mixtures to form anaerobic digestion slurries in a bid to treat to degrade the organic fractions of these wastes and recycle the bio-fertilizer after recovering biogas. Single and mixed substrate slurries evolved significant quantities of methane within 27days together with reduced mass of soil conditioner. The volume of biogas formed in cogeneration mixtures were higher than for single substrate digestion due to the C/N ratio shifting to near 30:1 as a result of mixing. So degradation of organic pollutants was higher in mixed substrate digestion mixtures. Our study yielded average volumes ranging from 315 to 435+ 5.65.mL/L which was in agreement with what is in literature. Digestion of cattle dung, cooked waste foods, and droppings of chicken and mixed substrate slurries using sludge inoculums was very effective in degrading solid waste from homes, thus detoxifying it to bio-fertilizers. Although both single and mixed substrate digestion of waste yielded high enough volumes of biogas; digestion of slurry of mixed organic solid waste substrates is better method of waste management. Digestion of garbage from Kampala should be tested at macro levels at both ambient and mesophilic temperatures. There is need to try out the garbage digestion experiments in the semi-arid towns as well as very cold towns in Uganda.

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

• In 2016, about 62 million tonnes of MSW was generated in
India, which is projected to rise to 165 million tonnes by 2030.
As per a study, it was calculated that 51% of the waste was
organic or biodegradable, 32% is inert or inorganic and about
17% is recyclable.
• A major proportion of the waste is being dumped in the
landfill thus, increasing the load on the landfills. So, some of
the waste needs to be diverted.
• The waste in landfill gets degraded over time resulting in
harmful methane emission. This could be recycled into
valuable green energy, biofertiliser and biochemicals.
• Harnessing the energy from biogas can reduce global climate
change emission by 20%.
• It delivers home grown, distributed, storable and dispatchable
green energy.

6. Anaerobic Digestion
• It is a process carried out in the absence of oxygen where the
microorganisms break down the biodegradable material.
• It starts with the bacterial hydrolysis of input materials where
the large organic polymers like carbohydrates are broken
down to smaller constituents.
• The acidogenic bacteria further breaks down the smaller
constituent like simple sugars, amino acids and fatty acids to
produce some simple molecules, ammonia, carbon dioxide,
hydrogen sulfide and some more byproducts.
• Now, the actenogenic bacteria breaks down the simple
molecules producing acetic acid along with carbon dioxide and
hydrogen. 6

• Finally, the methanogens convert the products of the previous
stages to methane, carbon dioxide and water which makes up
the majority of the biogas emitted.
• The entire process can be summed up by the following
chemical reaction where glucose is biochemically digested by
