(b) Large Foot-operated Bins: 14 Liter capacity (for

(a) Small Bins lined with black bags are to be placed in
each office of the administrative block for collection
of general waste.
(b) Foot-operated Bins lined with black bags are to be
placed at various key locations in the waiting
area/lounge of the administrative block for collection
of the general waste.

management is available in their unit.
• To ensure that bins placed properly and cleaned
regularly.
• To guide the sanitary attendants.
• To work in co-ordination with Housekeeping
Supervisor.

11. 2. Housekeeping Supervisor.
Responsibilities are:
• To take rounds twice in each shift daily to monitor
the work.
• to ensure that at least one week inventory of
housekeeping materials is available in the unit.
• To get the information cards replaced as and when
required.
• To inform all the problems arising in waste
management in the unit to Housekeeping Manager.

12. 3. Sanitary Attendant
Responsibilities are:
• To empty small bins in large bins for general waste
once in their shift duty.
• To empty the bins in Central Collection Trolley
after tying the mouths of the bag properly.
• To line the bins with new bags each time after
emptying them.
• To mop the floor at regular intervals.
• To wash the bins using detergents and disinfectants
at least once in their shift.
