The Big Event is a student-run service project at Texas A&M University where students volunteer for one day each year to perform service projects for the local community as a way to say thank you for their support. In 2016, over 22,000 students completed over 2,300 service jobs in 2,419 student groups. The event promotes campus and community unity through gratitude and service.
