The UCI-CSSA aims to promote Chinese culture at UCI and serve as a support system for Chinese students and scholars. It is the largest student organization at UCI with around 2,000 members. 2. About Us
• Chinese Students and Scholars Association at UC-Irvine is a non-profit, non-political, and
unreligious organization on campus. It is a social, cultural, and service-orientated organization that
strives to promote the Chinese American culture throughout the UCI community.
• UCI-CSSA is the only student body in UC Irvine that is authorized by the Education Department of
the Chinese Embassy. All of the Chinese students and scholars at UCI can automatically become our
members by adding to CSSA email list. Right now UCI CSSA is one of the biggest student
organizations at UCI by having around 2,000 members. CSSA is operated by its executive
committee, which has about sixty members, including president, vice president, office department,
finance department, public relation department, publicity department, activity department, career
development department and technology support department. CSSA grows rapidly with the help of
Chinese students and scholars, as well as UC Irvine community. CSSA becomes the most reliable
home for all of the Chinese students and scholars at UCI. It is a bridge that connects the cultures
between China and the United States.
• CSSA offers events such as career advising, alumni speeches, internships, social meetings, which
allows our members to improve leadership and communication skills. CSSA also events including
Chinese Spring Festival Gala, “IrVoice” Singing Contest, Game Night, Tender Night, and so on to
enrich Chinese students’ life at University of California, Irvine.
