United Way is celebrating 15 years of Days of Caring on October 22nd and 25th, where volunteers from the community and local companies help non-profits, schools, and childcare centers with projects. Non-profits can submit project requests by June 17th and volunteers can select a project to work on starting September 2nd. Days of Caring allows volunteers to give back through team building activities while helping agencies and enhancing their company's image.

Her goals were to create a newsletter, update their website and social media, and assist with their annual fundraising ball. She gained experience with nonprofit operations and event planning. Megan met both volunteers and clients, seeing the impact of VISTE's work firsthand. She will continue assisting VISTE with various projects before pursuing a career helping other nonprofits.

He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and experience as a construction project manager. He also serves on several boards. If elected, he is passionate about children's education and believes in trimming waste over raising taxes. He and his wife, who graduated from Mukwonago, have three children.

Bolton Local is a nonprofit organization founded in 2009 that aims to build a strong, self-reliant community committed to sustainable living. Their current initiatives include promoting energy efficiency programs, hosting skill-building events like canning and bread making, and providing educational programs. In 2014, their plans are to continue their energy efficiency campaigns, launch a buy local directory, collaborate with existing town organizations, and support more community solutions and education.

The Ulster Community College Foundation, Inc. annual gala recognition dinner was held Friday, September 28, 2012 at Hillside Restaurant in Kingston, NY. The event, designed to raise funds in support of SUNY Ulster, featured a silent auction, cocktail hour and elegant dinner. The Foundation honors community members who are chosen for their civic leadership and longstanding dedication to SUNY Ulster and its students. Cidadania 2.0 pledge bank
PledgeBank is an open source online platform built by mySociety and volunteers since 2004 to help coordinate group efforts around positive causes. It allows people to create pledges stating "I'll do this, but only if you help" in order to overcome the coordination problem of getting others involved. Over 8,000 pledges have been created in 14 languages from around the world involving over 145,000 people signing pledges. Examples include fundraising, community initiatives, political campaigns, and more. The presenter discusses how local governments have also used PledgeBank to engage citizens in community issues.
Big Event Update
The Big Event is a student-run service project at Texas A&M University where students volunteer for one day each year to perform service projects for the local community as a way to say thank you for their support. In 2016, over 22,000 students completed over 2,300 service jobs in 2,419 student groups. The event promotes campus and community unity through gratitude and service.
7 Years of W.H.Y.FOUNDATION
The W.H.Y. Foundation was formed in 2007 to help underprivileged communities through volunteer work and fundraising. It is made up of working professionals and students who organize activities like celebrations at old age homes, education programs, disaster relief efforts, and providing basic necessities. Over the past 7 years, the foundation has benefited over 16.5 million people through initiatives focused on senior citizens, street communities, education, and awareness campaigns. It has received recognition from the Andhra Pradesh government for its services.

The current progress report shows the club has been running for 4 weeks totaling 20 hours and volunteers must complete an application, Garda vetting, and child protection training.
