Here is a reflection on my experience with the poverty simulation during GIV day:
The poverty simulation was an eye-opening experience that gave me a glimpse into the challenges of
living in poverty. By being assigned random life scenarios and roles, I had to navigate a month's
worth of decisions with limited resources. It was stressful trying to pay bills and buy necessities with
an inadequate income. I realized how easy it is to fall into a cycle of poverty when facing obstacles
like lack of transportation, health issues, or lack of affordable childcare.
Some aspects that stood out to me were the emotional toll it takes and the lack of dignity in living in
poverty. Having to choose between paying for food or medicine

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Bethan Gray Essay
1. Bethan Gray Essay
Bethan Gray is an award winning Welsh designer that has an unusual but impressive family origin.
Her ancestors originate from an ancient Rajasthani clan that spent many hundreds of years
journeying across Arabia and Persia before choosing to remain in the Celtic region of Wales. This
very heritage wove its way into being some of Bethan Grays's main influences and inspirations,
which pull ideas shown within craft traditions of both the East and West. These influences are
reflected in Gray's style, showing a clear passion of detail, tactile textures, and extravagant materials
such as rare stones, wood, marble and hand–tooled leather. Complex but complementary patterns of
dark and light, texture and clear attention shown to the detail that defines her highly unique style.

3. Good Friday and Lent
All About Lent
Q: What is Lent?
A:Historically, Lent is the forty day period before Easter, excluding Sundays, it began on Ash
Wednesday and ended on Holy Saturday (the day before Easter Sunday). In recent years, this has
been modified so that it now ends with evening Mass on Holy Thursday, to prepare the way for
Triduum.
Q: Why are Sundays excluded from the reckoning of the forty days?
A: Because Sunday is the day on which Christ arose, making it an inappropriate day to fast and
mourn our sins. On Sunday we must celebrate Christ's resurrection for our salvation. It is Friday on
which we commemorate his death for our sins. The Sundays of the year are days of celebration and
the Fridays of the year are days of penance.
Q: Why are the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the rest of the year Catholics in this country are permitted to use a different act of penance
on Friday in place of abstinence, though all Fridays are days of penance on which we are required to
do something expressing sorrow for our sins, just as Sundays are holy days on which we are
required to worship and celebrate God's great gift of salvation.
Q: Why are acts of repentance appropriate at this time of year?
A: Because it is the time leading up to the commemoration of Our Lord's death for our sins and the
commemoration of his resurrection for our salvation. It is thus especially appropriate to mourn the
sins for which he died. Human have an innate psychological need to mourn tragedies, and our sins
are tragedies of the greatest sort. Due to our fallen nature humans also have a need to have set times
in which to engage in behavior (which is why we have Sundays as a set time to rest and worship,
since we would otherwise be likely to forget to devote sufficient time to rest and worship), it is
appropriate to have set times of repentance. Lent is one of those set times.
Q: What are appropriate activities for ordinary days during Lent?
A: Giving up something we enjoy for Lent, doing of physical or spiritual acts of mercy for others,
prayer, fasting, abstinence, going to confession, and other acts expressing repentance in general.
Q: Is the custom of giving up something for Lent mandatory?
A: No. However, it is a salutary custom, and

Anth 338 – Section 1
February 27, 2012
On an ordinary Saturday afternoon, my sister and I made our way to 1st St. and Central Ave. from a
failed attempt at another left–to–be–unnamed cultural epicenter, which was a very disappointing
trip. Little Tokyo proved to be quite the opposite, as I was able to ascertain a much deeper
understanding of the Japanese culture because of it, and at the same time was able to reflect on the
differences and similarities of my Filipino heritage. From what I was able to gather, the Japanese
and Filipino cultures have quite a few significant differences, but have more similarities than I
originally anticipated.

The Nisei, meaning a 2nd generation Japanese American, started the week long festivity over 60
years ago to celebrate their pride in being both Japanese and American in Little Tokyo. With the
exception of Nisei Week, many of these events emulate the kinds of activities Japanese would
observe in their homeland. The store employee told me that many small parts of Japan have its own
festival. "In my city, we have a fireworks festival like every year", she said. It seems these festivities
serve as a reminder of Japanese heritage in a country inclined towards American values. According
to the Japanese American student, Little Tokyo does not resemble any specific place or region in
Japan, it merely creates a "general feel" of the culture.
For the most part, traditional cultural values and constructions are strongly honored among the
people of Little Tokyo and those living in Japan. For example, many of the people I spoke to
maintained monogamous relationships and grew up in homes where it was highly valued. Moreover,
divorce is uncommon for these relationships, unlike here in America where divorce rates are
exceptionally high. It likely has something to do with the way the Japanese people present
themselves out in the public sphere. The store owner told me the Japanese are very mindful of
appearances, and how people would think of you because of it. Certain things like divorce may in
turn cause

"You will only need a pencil for this section of the test. When time is up, please close your test

word "test." This is the phrase that is used to doom high school students with anxiety early in the

testing instructor spoke, my hands became sweaty, my face was dripping with sweat, my stomach
was tied in a knot, my body was shivering, and my eyes were weary. I knew what time it was, and I
dreaded it ever since. It was time to attempt to accomplish a perfect score on something impossible,
rare, and unbearable – the ACT. As the instructor kept talking about the rules and regulations of the
ACT, I thought back to the long weeks of studies. These three weeks of studying were the longest
weeks I ever experienced. Throughout the three weeks, all I ever thought about was perfection. I
flinch whenever someone would ask me about my day or just wanted to say hi. I shut myself out
from the world for three weeks knowing my goal to aim perfection. After shutting everybody out, I
realized I had never experienced this terrible, powerless feeling. Previously, school had always been
an easy thing for me. I never struggled to receive the grades I received on tests because there was
always a curve placed on it. However, it now occurred to me that national tests require hard work,

From Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly to Julia Roberts and Keira Knightley, via Mia Farrow and

Moreover, during the 21st century, movies have been a powerful media in which to influence
people's style. Movies gave society a great way to see vintage fashion, including how to wear period

That means the 1910 's has been very important to modern day fashion. Throughout the 1920s,
American women began to closely follow the clothing, hairstyles, and makeup worn by movie stars
(Roberts, A. 2013). In short, as seen from the fashion designer 's desk, LaVine (1980) illustrated that
newspapers, fashion magazines, and the movies themselves opened up certain avenues to view the
apparel of their favorite stars, both on and off the screen. During the early years of the "Golden Age"
of Hollywood, on the other hand, people were had a few options for clothing due to WWII, which
caused a ration on fabric. However, there were two main styles for adolescents, greaser or preppie.
In short, greaser had the rebellious look with denim jeans and black leather jackets. Preppies, on the
other hand, wore poodle skirts, scoop neck blouses and cardigans.
One of the fashion trends that appeared during the golden age was the extravagant costumes, which
including luxurious materials such as feathers, beads, and furs. This fashion trend gained a new

17. Examples Of Mercy And Compassion
There are so many ways on how to practice mercy and compassion. There are three simple steps
given to us by Pope Francis during his apostolic visit here in the Philippines on how to become
ministers of mercy and compassion. First is to rest with God. Second is to renew one's self. Third is
to love others. Pope Francis tells us that "To be an ambassador for Christ means to invite everyone
to a renewed personal encounter with Christ." (Evangelii Gaudium). A renewed personal encounter
with Christ is witnessed when we rest with God. Rest is very crucial to everyone's life. But some
people seldom have time to rest due to hectic schedules and for some students are overflowing

And also there are people that we love so much but doesn't return our love back. Real love is about
loving God, and letting Him love us back. Another way of practicing mercy and compassion is to
love others. Loving others unlike the renewal of one's self focuses on giving love to other people.
Loving others is bringing Jesus to others. Loving others is not just about giving them what they
need, it's about teaching them how to provide for themselves. Let us practice mercy and compassion
by resting with God, renewing ourselves, and loving others. During the season of lent we reflect on
the passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lent is a source of mercy and
compassion in a way that we practice fasting and abstinence and as much as possible drink water.
Water has a chemical formula of H2O which means, H for Honesty, H for Humility, for being
humble enough to admit your mistakes, and O for Obedience, for obeying the people in authority
like our parents. These 3 are the sources of mercy and compassion. That's why we should be honest,
humble and obedient. Always drink H20 on the season of Lent. The author spent his holy week in
the Philippines.

Chiara Ferragni are active users of 'identity performance', or transforming continuously by

norms are evident in our daily lives but with the soaring number of Instagram members, the set of
social norms for online use are changing. Individuals and groups are interdependent in their use of
social norms; they both influence each other's behaviour (Postmes et al. 2000). By adopting these

all add to the context of a post. Although the Instagram posts all show almost intuitive aesthetic
data, a qualitative investigation is needed to understand what is shown precisely in the images and
what this tells us about identity performance. The theory which is most suitable here is visual

simultaneously repugnant images of Globules of Foam engulfing the body, asymmetric spines,

disturbing blank expressions, the non–existent emotional state of the subject, just starring back at
you. It is not horrified or excited about the change of their form, they are merely present and allow
themselves to be shown to you. It's a purely visceral and visually arresting experience, that sort of
lucid acceptance, clearly not hiding the kind of imperfections and oddities that society mostly trains
us to be ashamed of. They are unnervingly confident about themselves. Lucy and Bart's
photographs, no matter how unnerving they might be, present us with a strong character, something

There's something so primal and immediate about seeing human bodies mutated. It calls into
questions all of our ideals about beauty and they way we judge people based on their surfaces. This
odd sort of artistic mingling – where the colours are beautiful, but the shapes are grotesque – is
really jarring. Or maybe it's the way they seem to know something about their aberrations that we
don't. Like we've yet to have any idea the kind of powers that lie inside their new bodies and hands

35. Social Factors That Changed The World
Clothing became less expensive in the 1960's because of the Industrial Revolution, so more people
are seen being involved in popular fashion trends and expressing themselves in ways they please
because of the affordability. The sharply angled Vidal Sassoon hair style where women cut their hair
shorter and styled it in an angular way. This decade also started the trend of people wanting to look
skinnier. Designers preferred models looked younger, thinner, and had longer legs. Social factors
occurring at the time also effected fashion and helped represent people's beliefs. André Courrège 's
came out with many new fashions that reflected America's involvement in the Space Race with
Russia during that time and our achievement for having sent a person to the moon. This space age
caused Courrège to come out with designs that resemble space suits which included: silver sequined
pants, white plastic–like boots, and white sunglasses with slits. Courrège also came out with a
regular suit that had a geometrically cut jacket and angled collar which became a big hit. In the
1970's, many fashions were inspired by the "hippie look" and many clothes were becoming
handmade again. Hair was often worn long and straight or rolled into corkscrew curls and loose
waves. Hot pants, tie dyed shirts, bell bottoms, and flared pants worn with platform shoes became a
hit. Jeans also became a standard clothing worn by many and towards the end of the decade and

37. Fashion Analysis : Fashion Week
Nations across the world unite in so many ways. Whether it be the Super Bowl, or the Olympics,
there are always things that can bring people together. Fashion Week is one of them. Fashion Week
brings artists, designers, and audiences from across the world together in the name of art. However,
the importance of Fashion Week cannot be expressed without first discussing its history.
Fashion Week allows fashion designers to display their designs to a worldwide audience (Fortini
para. 10). Basically, Fashion Week is a time during which the industry's most prestigious designers
set their forthcoming collections on display in a sequence of presentations and runway shows (Soo
Hoo para. 2). Designers of fashion week display their collections created for the upcoming season
(Soo Hoo para. 4). Fashion Weeks in September through October are designed to display
spring/summer racks, while February through March shows are reserved for autumn/winter racks
(Soo Hoo para. 4). Fashion Week begins with New York, London, Milan, and Paris immediately
following the end of the previous cities' fashion week (Soo Hoo para. 4). Multiple other runway
show sequences are held throughout the year, such as Haute Couture and Swim Week (Soo Hoo
para. 4). However, these shows are separate and have no association with Fashion Week (Soo Hoo
para. 4).
The goal of a designer is to impress the audience as much as possible without forgetting the theme
of the season (Soo Hoo para. 14). Not all designers

new identities from the resources available to them' (Ratneshwar, 2000:132). Fashion designers find
their inspiration from the past and combine styles to create new designs that are seen as different and
inventive. However, many people argue that so many designers use materials, looks and styles from
the past that they are re using fashion in a continuous cycle and are no longer being original and
creative. I will be looking at fashion designer Gareth Pugh to explain more about the term bricolage

Knightley, via Mia Farrow and Catherine Deneuve, some of Hollywood 's most successful stars owe
a lot to their on–screen style. Moreover, during the 21st century, movies have been a powerful media
in which to influence people's style. Movies gave society a great way to see vintage fashion,

During the early years of the "Golden Age"
of Hollywood, on the other hand, people were having a few options for clothing due to WWII,
which caused a ration on fabric. However, there were two main styles for adolescents, greaser or
preppie. In short, greaser had the rebellious look with denim jeans and black leather jackets.
Preppies, on the other hand, wore poodle skirts, scoop neck blouses and cardigans. One of the
fashion trend that appeared during the golden age was the extravagant costumes, which including
luxurious materials such as feathers, beads, and furs. This fashion trend gained a new importance in

ENG 150
18 October 2012
The Negative Effects of the Fashion Industry on Eating Disorders
While it's fashion week in London, the size "zero" models start to prepare for the big show by
purging to be as thin as possible. Most models starve themselves in order to achieve the "waif",
stick–thin figure; it becomes so addictive, almost like second nature that it further leads to serious
eating disorders. From recent studies, today's model weighs about 23% less than the normal woman.
Clearly, most models do not depict the average woman. Men and women all over the world follow
the influences that the fashion industry provides. They believe that the fashion industry depicts on
what society should be acknowledged as, picture–perfect thin. ... Show more content on

A large contributing factor to this problem is that many people in the fashion world encourage the
use of overly thin models in editorials and fashion shows. For example, as Kathryn Shattuck, What's
On Today: [The Arts/Cultural Desk], mentions that Kelly Cutrone, world renowned fashion
publicist, encourages, "Clothes look better on thin people. The fabric hangs better" (1). The fashion
industry's emphasis on being thin and its use of extremely underweight models in unacceptable.
Many people would agree that the fashion industry plays the majority role in eating disorders, but
Lisa Hilton, British Vogue writer, disagrees. Hilton argues, "Its objective is selling clothes, and the
consensus remains that in order to achieve this, models need to be thin . . . Fashion is about fantasy,
about impossibility, about, dare we say it, art. Most women can't tell the difference" (1). Hilton
condescendingly continues to refute the criticisms that models are too thin and the fashion industry
encourages eating disorders.
More recently, Sports Illustrated model, Kate Upton whom is a size 4, is now considered a plus size
model and deemed to be "too curvy". In the United States the "normal" sized woman is between the
size of 6 and 10. Most of us do not understand why some put themselves through so much anguish
to satisfy these body image complexes. Back in the 1950's, models were

fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind

someone is completing. Some argue that happiness should come before money, but others feel as
though money allows for more opportunities to create joy. In Mike Rowe: Learning from dirty jobs,
Rowe addresses that there are several distasteful jobs that are available to the American people,
however, "The broken basic bargain" discusses the psychological issues that can accompany
someone should he/she follow one of these unpleasant careers. "Risky jobs have existed throughout
history. As time goes on... new technologies help reduce risks, but they also create new dangerous
jobs." (Garbe, 2014, p. 28). Since the Declaration of Independence was established – and perhaps
even before that – the American people have gone about life knowing that the only way to pave the
way for better times was work. However, "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," also gave ...

Reich discusses that citizens must not only look at what makes his/her dreams come true or what

In other words, the company that employs someone should pay that worker enough to be able to
afford the company's products, thus keeping a constant flow of income for both parties involved.
However, as years have gone on, there has been less coming to the people and more going

I reminisce the time like it was yesterday, the white tile along the floor as I walked by my mom 's

would this mean so much to me? I was born with an identical twin. For 7 years of my life, I wore the

making small talk with the workers and customers. The predominant religion in Little Tokyo is
Buddhism, but sentiment varies widely depending on their connection to the Japanese culture and
their age. I was told that there were a handful of temples scattered throughout the area, and
according to an elderly female store owner many
people find it very important to observe the religious decrees and go every Sunday to meditate. A

The Good Old Days
Introduction
It is known fact that the study of fashion design is influenced by the cultural and social activities
which is different in different areas and over different time span. Designers generally try to design
clothing that will not only be functional but also pleasing aesthetically. The wearing for a garment
depends on the person who is to wear it and also the occasion it will be worn in. A wide range of
patterns, styles and colors are required to come up with perfect garment. Throughout the years the
style statements, fashion industry has changed a great deal.

of the two generations have been compared along with their fashion styles and designs.
Culture and society of young Australian women of 1964
During the 1960s there was a lot of political, social as well as cultural upheaval in the country. This
had a great influence on the young women of Australia (Carment, 2004). The young generation for

memories and pleasant experiences. This was helpful in getting me settled in and ready to start my

Personal Statement
Growing up in the Philippines I wasn't really aware about the fashion world. However, when I

introduced me into a new world; a world that I should have known before. Since then my interest
and love for the fashion world continues to grow. Therefore, I'm applying for this course to enhance
my skills and to maximize my knowledge about what fashion really is.
Before to me fashion was just a word, used to describe a piece of clothing of what's in or what's out,
but now every time I hear the word fashion, a lot of things come running to my mind: fabrics,
textures, colours and shapes. Fashion isn't ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

production of eighty walkie–talkie bags for Milano's EXPO 2015. For others it may seem like silly
sewing small pouches, but for me, it was a very important project as it was for an important event.

63. The Unattainable Standards of the Fashion World
Most people think of the fashion industry as a materialistic world of extravagant, overpriced, un–
wearable clothing. Where anorexic, and yet extremely beautiful women use their looks to sell you a
product that they themselves probably don't even like. They think of an industry that sets the most
unattainable standards and lowers the self–esteem of young women to zero. They think of it as a
world where everyone is judged and no one will ever be pleased...and in the end none of it even
matters because they're all just clothes, but I do not.
You may be asking yourself, "Why is fashion important?". Clothes are not just clothes. They aren't
just what you wear. Clothes are personal and intimate. The clothes you wear send a public message
to others about the way you see yourself (regardless of whether or not you want them to). It's really
all about branding. From the minute you take the hanger off the rack, you are creating an image.
Clothes can even transform you, that shirt you just "threw on" this morning can give you an
enormous boost of confidence. How powerful is it that a piece of fabric can make you look and feel
differently.
iThere are many in the industry that truly possess great personal style and have major influence in
the fashion world. From the red carpets to street style, these ladies can do no wrong. One major
movie starlet, Jennifer Lawrence, has become quite the fashionista. What she'll wear next, there's no

evidence relating to fashion week's effect on the economy. Also, I researched "fashion week, social"
and "social standards, fashion week", which is how I covered the majority of my section on
fashion/fashion week's effects on social distinctions and social classes. Lastly, I had to find at least

relating to fashion week. Unfortunately, she did not know of any books and suggested me to the

72. How the Trickle-Down Theory Works in China Essay
How the trickle–down theory works in China
The Trickle–down theory, a well–known theory in fashion industry, has significant meaning in 19th
to 20th century Europe. The American economist and sociologist, Veblen, published The theory of
the Leisure Class by 1899, in which he discussed the split between the leisure class and the
industrial class in the US critically. He concluded that leisure class treats dress as a sign of their
status and possessions, furthermore, 'Dress must not only be conspicuously expensive and
inconvenient; it must at the same time be up to date'(Veblen 1994), by saying that, he refers to upper
class was tend to create new fashion trend which was the top of the trickle–down theory. In the 20th
century, Simmel, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However people have little idea about how fashion trends flow in both ancient and contemporary
Chinese society, which is an essential issue no matter when people want to explore Chinese fashion
history, or promote brands and run their business in China in the future. Actually, in the Han dynasty
(206BC–220AD), the trickle–down theory worked in the Chinese Royal Palace. At that time, it is
said that all the maid–in–waitings in imperial palaces stimulated the Empress Xiaocheng, Feiyan
Zhao (32BC–1BC), wearing fairy retaining skirts (Barbara 2000). And according to Lang huan ji
which was a classic novel written by Shizhen Yi, a scholar in the Yuan dynasty (1206–1368), in the
Tang dynasty (618AD–907AD), young girls loved to manipulate imperial Concubine's and
Princess's makeup and hair styles, which indicated that fashion flows from the upper class, such as
royal family, to general people. But inevitably, the study had its own limitation, sometimes, things in
China influenced by several specific factors, such as traditional Asian culture and social classes, in
addition to that, the situation of contemporary China is more complicated which was because of
ideology, social structures and fashion industry of China are so different from European countries.
This essay will discuss that how the trickle–down theory works in China, what hinders the theory's
utilization and what situation these sociological and cultural factors cause.
First of all, the

74. What Is the Role of Fashion Promotion, and How Will It...
What is the role of fashion Promotion within the fashion Industry, and how will it develop over the
next five years?
In an age where fashion and technology is constantly evolving it is important that we take a step
back and take a look at the current happenings in the promotional side of the fashion industry. The
fashion show,a key tool to making designers collections accessible to its consumer, will be the main
focus of this essay. We shall define fashion promotion before looking at how the catwalk sits under
this title. A brief history of the fashion show shall lead us into the present day, where we shall begin
the debate of whether some fashion shows need be as extravagant and expensive as they are. We will
look at well known ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However like with any industry, things are changing and developments always occurring which are
affecting many parts of the fashion industry. Tungate goes on to highlight the most obvious
development is the availability on the web. The images of a show are displayed less than an hour
after the designer has taken a bow. With this easy accessibility there is becoming less and less need
for buyers to attend shows and instead they are able to choose their key pieces right from their own
offices. Tungate also recognizes that private 'pre collection' gatherings in showrooms are taking
place before the actual show. This gives the buyer a chance to place their orders without the 'razza
matazz and overheads' (Tungate,2004,12) of a show. One may ask that if 70% of stock is being sold
at pre collections ( Tungate,2004,12) then why is it necessary for designers to stage a show at all?
This comes back to what we mentioned earlier about showcasing the brand .A show is no longer
about selling a particular garment it is about selling the look and that is McDowells justification into
its considerable costs. He believes that a show easily costs £150,000 and this sum cannot be used
just for the designers indulgence,it has to serve a purpose.
Let's take a look at what Tungate might mean when using the word 'razzmatazz'. Perhaps the best
example for us to look at is Karl Lagerfelds Fall/Winter 07 collection that was

76. Alexa Chung: My Personal Style
Alexa Chung is a name , synonymous in the fashion industry , especially with British indie pop
style. She is regarded as one of the most influential style icons of the decade .Therefore , it is no
surprise that I have chosen her as my personal style icon. Alexa Chung is an award winning tv
presenter , model and of late , a writer. She is also the contributing editor at British Vogue. She is
often regarded as a global style sensation and is the ultimate fashion it girl , having collaborated
with few of the world's most high profile designers. At the age of 31, Alexa has already managed to
carve her name as a modern day fashion icon. "What sets her apart from the rest ... Show more

I like to wear dungarees". Her style philosophy ," Stick to the classics and you can never go wrong".
Alexa's style sense is conventional yet very individualistic. Her style is the perfect mix of
masculinity and feminity. She is one of the very few that can mix casual wear with more feminine
pieces to create create an ultimate look. My favourite aspect about her style is that her outfits can be
termed as vintage, classic and edgy , all at the same time and that is extremely impressive. Her style
is very much dependent on layering. Anything provocative is a definite no for her. Her signature
style ' The Breton tee , the Chelsea boot and the duffel coat ' are very much London–street inspired.
Denim shorts are a fashion necessity to her. She also loves denim dungarees and her favourite navy
