biometrics
 Biometrics is a unique ,human characteristics , used to identify
the individual identity of human//it define the unique identity
of human
Physiological biometrics :-
A. it defines biological aspects of a person//nochangable
B. Data directly measure by scan of human body or parts
Behavioral biometrics :-
A. data derived from an action //changable
 Physiological biometrics Behavioral biometrics
a. finger scan a. keystroke scan
b. Hand scan b. voice scan
c. Retina scan
d. Face recognition
Among all of them one important that is face recognition
What is face detection..?
 FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEMS ARE COMPUTER-
BASED SECURITY SYSTEMS THAT ARE ABLE TO
AUTOMATICALLY DETECT AND IDENTIFY HUMAN
FACES.
 IT REQUIRE NO PHYSICAL INTERACTION ON
BEHALF OF THE USER
How it work?
 CAPTURE:- SYSTEM CAPTURE A DIGITAL IMAGE
 DETECTION:- TO DETECT A HUMAN FACE AND EXTRACT IT FROM THE
REST OF THE SCENE .
THE SYSTEM MEASURE NODEL POINTS ON THE FACE
DISTANCE B/W THE EYES
WIDTH OF THE NOSE
LENGTH OF JAW LINE
DEPTH OF THE EYE SOCKETS
Nodal points
 COMPARISION :-These newly computed nodal points
are than compared to stored database
 MATCHING:- system than decide measured data
from new sample is matching or not
There are two type of
application/comparison
VERIFICATION : one to one comparison //mobile face unlock
To access or unlock specific system it is used
IDENTIFICATION : one to many comparison
Why…..?
 There is only one purpose to use this technology that is security
purpose// because face is a unique identity of human
 And also For the privacy purpose it is used
Applications..
In defence
At airport
At poling booth
At ATM machine
