Beethoven Essay
Writing an essay on Beethoven can be both a daunting and enriching task. On one hand, delving
into the life and works of this iconic composer offers a plethora of fascinating material to
explore. Beethoven's impact on the world of classical music, his revolutionary compositions, and
the personal challenges he faced present an array of angles to approach the essay. However, the
vastness of his contributions and the need to capture the essence of his music in words can be a
formidable challenge.
To successfully write a comprehensive Beethoven essay, one must navigate through the
intricacies of his compositions, understanding the historical context in which he lived, and
exploring the emotional depth embedded in his music. It requires a delicate balance between
providing factual information about his life and creatively expressing the profound influence his
music has had on the world.
Furthermore, crafting an essay on Beethoven necessitates careful consideration of the various
periods in his musical career, from his early works to the later, more introspective compositions.
Attempting to encapsulate the evolution of his style and the innovative nature of his creations
adds layers of complexity to the writing process.
In essence, while the prospect of writing a Beethoven essay may seem challenging, the
opportunity to explore the life and artistry of one of the greatest composers in history is a
rewarding endeavor. The challenge lies in doing justice to the depth and breadth of Beethoven's
legacy within the confines of an essay.
For those seeking assistance in navigating the intricacies of such a task, various resources are
available. Expert guidance and support can be found through platforms like HelpWriting.net,

Describe the Difference in Managerial Accounting vs. Cost...
Describe how managerial accounting is different from cost accounting. Cost
accounting is the process of tracking, recording and analyzing costs associated with a
company s product or project. Internal managers are the ones who normally use cost
accounting information. Direct Costs, Indirect Costs and Overhead/Absorbed Costs
are usually what are measured in Cost Accounting. This information is then used by
managers when decisions are made dealing with company costs and how to improve
the profit. (Wild Shaw) Management accounting provides the other managers
information on the business decisions that allow them to keep their management and
control functions equipped. Management accounting is used within an organization

The financial bonuses should be tied to how much the team saves this year. Often
companies tend to cut individuals who do not have top priority tasks. Keeping the
ones who are important understand and will help you save a lot of money. Dr.
White has to prepare to implement cost reductions in her organization; she must be
open, honest and be sincere with all the staff about reducing the cost and how this
will affect the organization. She should reduce the headcount in proportion in the
difference within the work load. If the community center generally treats more
cases that the outpatient sections then the cuts could be made from outpatient.
Service contracts are easy to work with as long as the current provider or new
provider is reasonable. Normally travel, consultation and professional budgets are
cut. What is the hardest has to cut people that work closely with a manager, it is
important for the manager to budget responsibly. The employee should be notified
immediately of such actions so they are prepared and can have time to look for
something new. Sometimes this is not the case, as for a friend of mine who showed
up to work one day and they informed her they had to let her go. Usually an outgoing
employee should be provided with a departure package, lump sum payment or
package with benefits to help them with the sudden change.
With the first budget below, it has been reduced $94,000. There has been an
The Waffle House
Everybody from down South knows about the Waffle House and has one close in a
local area. The Waffle House is a 24 hour diner place that sales just about anything
that you want. Although Waffle House is an excellent place to eat at, there are
things that make people think twice bout going. Most Waffle Houses are extremely
cold. Why? because workers are dealing with eggs and things of that nature and
employees become very hot quick. When sitting at the table, the waiter gives a napkin
to put the fork, the spoon and the knife on. In some Waffle Houses, the utensils are
not always clean. Dirty spots are on both utensils, plates and cups. The drinks have
things floating around in it, which is very unacceptable. When customers. come they

Jane Eyre Foils
In the novel, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre has the option of either
marrying Rochester or St. John Rivers. Rochester and St. John Rivers are foils,
however they do share some characteristics. Both Rochester and St. John Rivers have
many strengths and weaknesses that influence Jane Eyre s choice of whom she shall
marry. In Jane Eyre, St. John Rivers and Rochester have contrasting personalities
which help Jane Eyre determine who she should marry. St. John Rivers is cold,
hostile, and austere. While describing St. John Rivers, Jane Eyre says, To me he
was in reality become no longer flesh, but marble and his heart had been really a
matter of stone or metal. When Jane Eyre rejects his marriageproposal, he no longer
treats her in a kind, respectful manner. He... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jane Eyre says, he forgets pitilessly, the feelings and claims and of little people, in
pursuing his own large views. When Jane Eyre declines St. John Rivers marriage
proposal, he does not take her feelings into consideration. St. John Rivers soly
recognizes how her rejection will affect him and his mission trip to India. This
shows that he is not open to the ideas and feelings of others when he has a goal set
in mind for himself. St. John Rivers says, Rosamond a sufferer, a labourer, a
female apostle? Rosamond a missionary s wife? No! St John Rivers is a priest who
devotes his life to God. His devotion to God can be considered a strength and a
weakness. This can be portrayed as a strength because he helps others around the
world by going on missionary trips, but he also sacrifices all the pleasures and
luxuries in his life. Instead of staying at Gateshead and telling Rosamond Oliver
how he feels, he leaves on a missionary trip to India because he believes she is not
suited to be a missionary wife. His devotion to God causes St. John Rivers to be
strict and self denying. St. John Rivers way of helping those who are destitute can be
considered a strength of his. Before
Arlington s Journey
I believe that giving is greater than receiving. Being able to live in Johnson County
is a blessing. We have polite neighbors, clean streets, and fresh water. This past
spring break I was fortunate enough to travel to Arlington, Texas, with my youth
group from my church. As a group, this would be our second time traveling to
Arlington for a mission purpose. As an individual, Arlington changed me. When
my youth group is traveling a long distance, we rent a couple of twelve passenger
vans. Driving to Arlington takes about ten hours, including bathroom stops and
lunch breaks. Every time my youth leader tells the group to go to the bathroom, no
one listens. That is because we are teenagers and do not have the best listening
skills. One teen needed to take a whiz and could not hold it for much longer. His
solution was to relieve himself into a water bottle. This would be an interesting trip
for every single one of us. Arriving in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

She told me all she knew about Jesus. Surprisingly, Tiffany knew a majority of the
bible stories I was telling her. Apparently this was not the first time a church had
ministered to her apartment complex. We provided Rainbow Express for kids of
all ages. We had a few babies and a couple teenagers showing up during the week.
Despite the age gap, we did our best to involve everyone. Even though these kids
are experiencing rough times, they still emit more loving energy than expected.
These kids love you as if you are their long lost sibling. They were not afraid to
sprint up to us with their arms wide open. Mission Arlington shows me how to love
people you have only known for a week. This mission trip transformed me on how I
perceive life at home. Even though my youth group and I are back home, we still
think about the children at Eagle Crest quite often. We will return to Arlington next

The Field Of Special Education
The commitment of teaching in the field of special education is challenging. The
undertaking is prodigious, but when a child with disabilities flourishes under the
direction of a special education teacher s leadership, the outcome is life altering
for both. The main goal for a student with special needs is for the student to acquire
skills that are vital to achieve placement in a regular education classroom and be
able to take part in the class on a daily basis. In order for a strategy of inclusion to be
successful, effective collaboration between the parents and teacher is imperative.
A recent spike in the number of children born with some type of disability is evident
and local school districts must prepare themselves for the task of educating these
students. Many challenges lie in the path of a student with special needs, but the
greatest challenge they must conquer is the misconception that they are not capable
of learning. When a teacher highly qualified for special education provides the
appropriate education a student with disabilities requires, the student can and will
learn. Students identified as special needs display disabilities such as autism,
intellectual disabilities, loss of hearing and visual impairment (Hardman, Drew, Egan,
2014).
An individual s intelligence is determined by their IQ, also known as Intelligence
Quotient, which is characterized as mental skills that allow an individual to engage
in problem solving situations and the capability to learn.

Diplomacy in the United States and Saudi Arabia
Growing up being a diplomat has always been a career I wanted to pursue. When I
was in elementary school my best friend s father was diplomat for the State
Department. He would constantly tell me stories of his travels from living in
South Africa, Germany, and Thailand. I already loved traveling and I was so in
love with this job because the career would be receiving a check for something I
already love to do. However it is not only about the traveling this job has many
benefits including being able to resolve world issues and help un developed
countries with their issues. Being a diplomat for the U.S government requires many
requirements. There are not many educational requirements a college degree is
sufficient enough. What is really needed is to pass the Foreign Service Exam. This
exam consists of a written exam, oral interview, and a negotiating exercise. After
passing the test a medical and security clearance is then required. Passing all those
will allow you to be selected into the Foreign Service for the United States
government. This process is said to be more selective than Harvard University
(Working Abroad). Although being selected and qualifying for this process would be
very honorable I am fortunate enough to have a father and family members with
great ties in the Saudi Arabian government. My father used to work with a Prince of
Saudi Arabiawhose uncle is the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia. My father still
remains in contact with him and he would be more

I don t know, one day when I was working in the stables they brought in a horse

down. I liked that horse a lot, so when no one was looking I went to say good bye,
only when I touched it something happened and I could feel the creatures pain as
if it was my own. I knew exactly what was wrong with the great animal and after a
moment or so of focusing on the wound I left the pain disappear. To this day I don t

Since it was only mid day the bar was practically empty, when Fin and Ronan

The drug has literally swept through this county like an angry mob of rioters bringing
crime, death, and destruction with it, leaving many people in the community asking,

it be steeling from friends, family, stores, or even selling my body if I became

they never meant to become addicted but couldn t resist the warm, calming, euphoria

Dances With Wolves Stereotypes
Overcoming Stereotypes in the Movie, Dances With Wolves
Everyone has a preconceived opinion of how a certain ethnic group is in terms of
the way they live, the morals they hold, the way they deal with people different from
them, and how they deal with one another. We come to these conclusions by what we
have seen in the media, heard from other people, or actually experienced ourselves.
Most people would consider these opinions to be stereotypes. Dances with Wolves is
a motion picture that deals with and touches on all sides of personal stereotypes we
as American and American Indianshave about each other. John Dunbar takes us
through and allows us to see how it is to come into a situation he was not familiar
with and then eventually the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also came across intimidated by John because of his courage through this
miserable time. He saw Dunbar as someone he could never be and he didn t see his
life worth living anymore.
Going into the movie we did not really get a strong sense of how Dunbar thought of
the Indians. While he was journeying out to the frontier Dunbar asked Timmons, a
man that was taking him there, what he thought about Indians. With no hesitation at
all Timmons stated that they were all thieves, murderers, and savages. Dunbar didn t
ever state what he thought of the Indians. I got the impression that he really did not
have an opinion about them because he has never dealt with them. He seemed like
the type of guy that would not assume something without experiencing it for himself.
Everyone he talked to about Indians probably said the same things Timmons did, but
for some reason Dunbar was different from the rest. He seemed to be better than that.
The Indians are finally presented in the movie by the screen scanning across a wide
open desert very peaceful and deserted. In the middle of all this silence the camera
fell upon a skeleton of a human that we assume the Indians killed. This is how the
movie sets the tone for how we are going to think about the Indians. They play with
the stereotype that all us Americans think are true about the Indians. At first we think
that we were right, but the story does not end there.
The first encounter that Dunbar has with the Indians is when

Kids Should Have to wear School Uniforms in the York Region
Kids from grades 4 to 12 should have to wear school uniforms. School uniforms
help to decrease behavioral problems by increasing school safety and decreasing the
risk of violence and theft. School uniforms also have a big impact on bullying. School
uniforms also decrease bullying. School uniforms also act as social equalizers. If
school uniforms were mandatory in all schools it would increase punctuality. Overall
school uniforms make school a more enjoyable, safer and nicer learning environment.
The following reasons below will support my argument.
My first reason school uniforms should be mandatory is because, according to the US

Introduction
The Smartphone market is emerging and growing. This is a well known fact.
However, this report primarily focuses upon what goes on behind the scenes in
producing a Smartphone that is at par with the customers needs. The Smartphone
market moved from producing sets with an alphanumeric keyboard to a qwerty
keyboard, to a touch screen, to intelligent voice commands, to biometric securities,
etc. Nevertheless, the diversity in needs of the consumer, increasing demand levels,
the Smartphone industry hasn t ceased to grow.
The conventional product strategies which used to focus upon costs, differentiation,
and customer and technology orientations doesn t seem to fulfill the ever growing
need of better technology. The Smartphone market is more focused on innovation and
product development rather than the conventional product strategies.

What Is Rome Like The Goths
Rome was founded on 21 April 753 BC by Romulus on the palatine hill. The
Roman Empire was one that was founded on the idea of spreading and conquering,
bringing the culture of Rome for all people to enjoy. Centuries of conquering and
expanding made Rome s borders bigger and bigger at the height of its power Rome
was 2.2 million square miles. This expansion although impressive was ultimately
one of their downfalls. As the Empire got bigger all the boarders got harder to
defend, also it got harder for the capital to communicate to all of its cities because of
the distances they would have to go. This made the emperors job of controlling his
empire much harder. Rome started to decline around the fourth century and their

One of the most pressing problems was the lack of money due to the split between
the western and eastern roman empire. Since they became so tight on money they
decided to employ the cheaper, but less reliable Germanic mercenaries. This was
not a good idea because when the mercenaries were not loyal to Rome. Their first
loyalty was to money, their second to their general, and their third to themselves.
Once knew that they could not defend Rome from the attacking germanic tribes.
They gave up. The sack of the city of Rome was on August 24, 410. Rome would be

Mahatma Gandhi And Bhagat Singh

Singh and mahatma Gandhi on the use of violence as instrument in politics
Violence in politics means to oppose or to struggle against the policies of ruling
government or authority by strikes, revolutions, riots, etc. India was ruled by the
British government from 1858 to 1947 and this period is called colonial rule. The
British government took all the power and control from Indians in very less time.
Violence plays a crucial role in every revolution, as it helped India during the
independence movement from the British Raj where number of freedom fighters
such as Lala Lajpat rai, Bhagat Singh and many more lost their lives for the
country. At that time two main revolution took place in India, violence and non
violence. Bhagat Singh was portrayed as a macho gun toting freedom fighter who
believed that violence is more effective a way of achieving independence from
British rule (Saha para 4) whereas Gandhi took the religious principle of ahimsa
(doing no harm) common to Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism and turned it into a
non violent tool for mass action and demanded the transfer of power from the
Britishers (BBC 1). Here, I would like to compare and contrast ideas of Mahatma
Gandhi and Bhagat Singh on the use of violence as an instrument of politics.
Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh both were freedom fighters and put their efforts
in Independence of India. Gandhi believes in
American Social Policy And Social Change Essay
Here in the United States, disputes about the axiological restructuring of American
social policy and social change are at the forefront of our policymaking, and one
can assume it will remain so for the anticipated future. The belief that change is
necessary is evident to all Americans, but which path to take is immensely different.
Abramovitz states that, Ideology is more that abstract ideas. It has raised hopes,
inspired fear, and drawn blood for millions of human beings (2008). Americans stand
to make their ideologies on platforms when they elect politicians who share in their
beliefs, ideologies, and cultural norms into positions of power. When this occurs,
Americans look to their politicians to adhere to their beliefs and take the path to
change they see fit. Throughout history, there is a persistent power struggle between
American political parties, primarily Republican and Democrat, and the ideologies
they harbor. When one party has a more dominant omnipresence, the overall
ideology of the country tends to shift. In 2007, Karger Stoesz state that, Ideological
trends influence social welfare when adherents of one orientation hold sway in
decision making capacities (p.5). According to Gil, Choices in social welfare policy
are heavily influenced by the dominant beliefs, values, ideologies, customs, and
traditions of the cultural and political elites recruited mainly from among the more
powerful and privileged strata (1981, p.32). During this current election

where I will stay, even in America, though, there is such a variety of places to live.
Savannah, Georgia has caught my eye in many ways but I don t know if I could
ever leave small town Iowa, like Mason City. While considering these two places, I
know that there are a few things that I have to keep in mind such as the job outlook,
cost of living, things to do, and one of the most important, weather. Mason City, Iowa

summers, and in between autumns and springs. Iowans seem to get it all. The

high humidity. Another thing they have in common is the growth of the occupation
of a physician assistant and the cost of living is fairly close as well. Crime wise,
Mason City seems the safer route with my family being close by and it having a
lower crime rate in general. There is a lot more things to do in Savannah than in
Mason City, I wouldn t find myself getting bored with all the history to explore.
Mason City, however, is closer to my family and I know the area. Because both
places are lovely and great places to live, I could see myself living in both. I think
that moving out of Iowa to Savannah after college before I settle down would be a
great eye opener and allow me to experience more American culture. I would love

Americans means of assistance was met through families, local communities, and
charities, typically religious. Following industrialization in the 1870s, the nation s
adult workforce was flooded by employers who were dependent on a continuing
flow of money income to provide for themselves and their families (Historical
Development, 1997). Over time, measures such as Mother s pension laws, were
adopted in a number of states which gave cash allowances to households without a

Social policy has impacted the success as well as the dissolution of many social
service programs when policymakers have exercised their preference for private
sector social services, resulting in less funding for public agencies. Underfunded
public agencies then must turn to cutting qualified staff, and expecting existing staff
to do more with less, utilizing less qualified and lower paid staff (American Social
Welfare Policy, 2009). Choices in social welfare policy are heavily influenced by the
dominant beliefs, values, ideologies, customs, and traditions of the cultural and
political elites recruited mainly from among the more powerful and privileged strata
(American Social Welfare Policy, 2009). Authors Charles Prigmore and Charles
Atherton, in their book, Social Welfare Policy: Analysis and Formulation, list no
fewer than fifteen values that influence social welfare policy: achievement and
success, activity and work, public morality, humanitarian concern, equality, freedom,
external conformity, science and secular rationality, nationalism and patriotism,
democracy and self determination, racism and group superiority, and belief in
progress (1979). One take on worthwhile social policy is that it should, leave no one
worse off and at least one person better off, at least
L. A. Confidential Theme
Focus On L.A. Confidential
L.A. Confidential is a gorgeous, but tough throwback that did right things to
Hollywood. Despite the film breaking most of today s filmmaking rules, it is
considered as one film that will keep the audience glued on the screen. The film
cited its origin from James Elroy s nearly impossible to film cult novel. The film
raises stars with three main characters. The film embroils the three characters in a
vigorously surprising tale, which puts them in a clichГ© free true mystery. The

cops resemble the movie stars. The actors all have the ambition of dragging the movie

The Growth of George Eliot s Silas Marner Essay
The Growth of Silas Marner
Silas Marner is introduced as a pallid young man, with prominent, short sighted
brown eyes who led a quiet life in the small country community, Lantern Yard. He
is a skilled hand loom weaver of exemplary life and ardent faith ; His work, friends
and faith have a huge part in his life, making him an open and honest person. Silas
certainly possesses a flawed character, which we see quite clearly in his dealings with
others. From the money he made as a weaver, he only kept a small part for himself,
giving the rest to the church and to the poorer people who needed it in the
evangelical sect he belonged to.
Silas is good hearted, honest, and vulnerable human being. In the beginning, he ...

Silas comes to the rural village community of Raveloe after his being mistreated by
the people he trusted in Lantern Yard and expelled from his church. He arouses the
villagers suspicions and fears by inviting no comer to step across his door sill . The
villagers old fashioned, superstitious beliefs have not yet been changed by new ideas
and inventions. They treat him as an outsider because they do not know anything
about where he came from or about his past. Their unfriendly, indifferent behaviour is
also due to Silas own misunderstood behaviour towards them.
After helping Sally Oates, a woman who had the same illness that Silas own
mother had, by making a potion from herbs that cured her, he refused to help all the
other people who turned to him and believed he was a medicine man. Silas did not
act like that out of selfishness. He could have easily pretended to have more
knowledge than he actually had and taken their money but he truthfully told them
that he did not know much about herbs and did not want to hurt them by making a
mistake or giving them the wrong herb which could be just as deadly as it could be
helpful. This caused the villagers to shut Silas out of their life and for Silas to spend
fifteen years in isolation and utter loneliness, not communicating with any
Total Compensation Methods Paper
Total Compensation Methods Paper The purpose of this paper is to provide an
analytical overview of compensation strategies within organizations. First, an analysis
of the impact of various compensation methods and benefit programs on employees
and organizations will be discussed followed by how salary and benefit
administration strategies relate to organizational culture and performance. What are
compensation and benefit strategies? Compensation and benefit strategies are ways
that organizations can use pay and benefits to recognize and reward employees
contributions to the organization s success. (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart, and Wright,
2004) Some examples are wageand salary administration, incentive pay, insurance,

Although an employee does not need to show proof of an employer being negligent,
the employee will lose workers compensation benefits if the injury is self inflected.
The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is a federal law requiring organizations
with 50 or more employees to provide up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave after
childbirth or adoption, to care for seriously ill family members, or for an employee
s own serious illness. (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart, and Wright, 2004) FMLA
protects the employee from losing their job because of one of the listed criteria
above. Although some compensation and benefit methods are required by law,
there are benefits that employees have come to expect like medical benefits,
retirement plans, and paid leave. A company that offers such benefits is more
appealing to a potential employee when searching for a job. In most companies,
medical, dental, and vision plans are a shared cost and the most important benefit to
an employee. Most companies that offer these types of benefits will receive a break
in cost due to the number of employees that they are covering. (Noe, Hollenbeck,
Gerhart, and Wright, 2004) This benefits the employee by taking some of the
financial burden off of expensive premiums. Medical benefits also ensure the
wellness of employees allowing them to continue his or her job with a company so
that the company continues to
Summary Gladwell Social Media
Gladwell s piece explains why social media will not be an effective tool in
organizing activism. He claims that social media is not a dangerous tool to truly
change the existing state of affairs. Throughout his essay, Gladwell refers to many
different protests throughout history and calls on the reader to discern that the
events that did not use social media were better and more centrally organized and
often more successful. The higher success rate in the protests without social media is
cause of strong tie phenomenon which is when people have an invested interest in
the event due to emotional bonds and face to face social connections. An example
that Gladwell uses of a successful protest was the Greensboro sit ins. Due to face to

How Did Steel Change America
How Steel Changed America
By: Aiden, Landon, Michael, Sever, Trey
There is perhaps no other invention in American history quite as important as steel.
Steel is made of mostly iron, lime, and sometimes even scrap steel, but other metals
can be added to make other types of steel. While there are many types of steel today,
in industrial America, Carbon Steel was the most common form that was used. In
fact, 80 to 90 percent of the steel produced was Carbon Steel. It proved stronger than
iron and was relatively inexpensive to make. This strong, inexpensive steel
revolutionized industrial America for many reasons. New, taller buildings could be
built using new techniques of using steel to reinforce the buildings and new
inventions such as cars ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Past and Current Drug Trends in America
Drugs come in many forms and from many places. Drugs have been around since the
beginning of time and people have been using them since they discovered them. Drug
use began thousands if not a hundred thousand years ago as humans started exploring
their environment. People would see a new plant or observe an animal s behavior
after consuming the plant, and out of curiosity, they would experiment with it or taste
it. This is how some of the drugs we know today came about. Cocaine, opium, LSD,
peyote, and marijuana all come from plants that primitive people discovered while

Marijuana is still and probably always will be a widespread used drug.
Amphetamines are a major problem here in Arizona, especially among teens and
young adults. Arizona started a large scale media campaign in the beginning of
2010 known as The Arizona Meth Project . The purpose of this project is to inform
the youth of the risks and the effects of using meth. Also in Arizona, there is a rise in
crack cocaine use. Young people have on recreational drug experimentation is mixed.
Some, if not most young adults and teens believe that drugs are bad. Nevertheless,
there are always those who see nothing wrong with living a little .
Appropriate Use of Illicit Drugs In some cases, the public views the use of illicit
drugs as acceptable. Some of these illicit drugs are acceptable for medicinal
purposes and some are acceptable because of religion. Many people believe in the
medicinal value of marijuana. Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in
the United States. Many advocates consider marijuana a harmless, or even beneficial,
substance that should be made legal (Medical Marijuana, 2010. para.1). In fact, in
recent years there have been propositions put on the ballot to legalize marijuana in
many states. In California and some other states, patients with a cannabis card and a
prescription can purchase and use marijuana. Marijuana helps with pain, anxiety, and
many other medical issues. In some cases, the use of amphetamines is

As Sire puts it but it is I who will act and not just react like a bell ringing when a
button is pushed. I believe when people are sinful, God stays the same. When we
begin to become more like God, we find our home. Our personality is grounded in
the personality of God. That is, we find our true home in God and in being in close
relationship with him. (Sire, pg. 34)
With that because of the fall and of mankind s sin, we need to be reborn. Jesus said
in John 3:7, Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again. This is
because we all have been born in sin, Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in
sin my mother conceived me. (Psalms 51:5) How to be born again is to accept Jesus
and surrender to him. Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after
Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever
desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find

What would you do if your newborn was born with a defect? In this time era, we

Eugenics is defined as the science of improving a humanpopulation by controlled
breeding to increase the occurrence of desirable heritable characteristics, whether it is
appearance, intelligence, or defects. Doesn t that sound cruel? Well there are more
bad qualities to eugenics than just the definition. First of all, the history of eugenics

The Revolution Of Texas Revolution
Essay on Texas Revolution
Texas Revolution, a rebellion in late 1835 and early 1836 by residents of Texas, then
a part of northern Mexico, against the Mexican government and military. The
rebellion led to the establishment of the independent Republic of Texas. The short
lived republic was annexed by the United States as a state in 1845. These events were
among the causes of the Mexican War between the United States and Mexico, after
which Mexico relinquished all claims to Texasand much of the present day
southwestern United States.
In 1835 Texas was part of the Mexican state of Coahuila. Texas and its residents
were governed as citizens of Mexico. For many years Mexican policies had rarely
caused concern in Texas, although a large part of the population were Anglo
American immigrants who were attracted by the generous land policies.
Rebellion stirred when Mexican authorities began to regulate Texan activities more
closely. A brief revolt in 1826 known as the Fredonian Rebellion was an attempt by
two Anglo American brothers to establish an independent republic. The revolt,
which was not supported by most Anglo Americans, was unsuccessful, but was one
factor that led Mexico to prohibit the immigration of Anglo Americans in the
Decree of April 6, 1830. The decree also banned the importation of slaves into
Texas; slavery was already prohibited in other parts of Mexico. Immigration from the
United States halted for almost four years. Mexico also imposed new taxes on

Factories During The Industrial Revolution
The conditions in factories during the Industrial Revolution were very bad for the
people during that time. The factories lacked many things that were beneficial to
the people and the health department today would be all over it. Pay was a giant

be worth a total of 35 cents today. These people who worked in the sweatshops did
not have enough money to pay for themselves to live. They were very poor and
could hardly afford anything. The workers had to work long, hard hours. They
usually worked, anywhere from 5 16 hours a day working, depending on your age.
Children had to work in the shops too if they were poor which was most of the
population. You also worked when

Why People Commit Crimes And Explain How Judiciary...
When we were little children, an adult would ask you what you want to be when

always wanted to be a lawyer and advance to being a judge. Now that I am older, the
judicial system is where I need to be, just not a prosecutor or judge. I have changed
my mind about being a prosecutor and judge because it is too political. I would be
fair. However, I would not make a very good political candidate. Even though each

Because judiciary professionals face three main issues on a regular basis, the
judge is responsible for coming up with a decision. The prosecutor is responsible
for having enough evidence to pursue a trial. The prosecutor is the representative of
the state and wields tremendous power (Wright, 2012). The defense attorney is
responsible for proving beyond a shadow and a doubt that the client is innocent. The
job of the defense attorney is, by any standard, difficult. It is difficult for a variety of
reasons. First, defendants often talk to the police without an attorney present. When
they do this, they themselves in crimes and to provide police with evidence that can
later be used against them. Second, defense attorneys often handle so many cases
that it is simply impossible for them to understand the details of each case. To
manage the large number of criminal cases they are responsible for, defense attorneys
often have little choice but to spend only a few minutes with each defendant and to
base their legal recommendations on the information they receive from their clients
and the prosecutor s office. Third, most of the defendants in the criminal justice
system are from the lower socioeconomic classes. These defendants sometimes do not
fully understand their legal rights, nor do they have resources to hire expert witnesses
or to investigate the evidence obtained by the

Emily Dickinson s A Route Of Evanescence And Because I...
Emily Dickinson
Emily Dickinson published only a few poems during her time. Her work was only
truly discovered after her death of kidney disease in 1886 at the age of fifty six.
Upon her death her sister Lavinia Dickinson found hundreds of poems tied into a
book stitched together by Emily. People claim that she is the most original 19th
Century American Poet and is now considered one of the towering figures of
American literature. Although She is known for her unconventional broken rhyming
meter, creative use of metaphor, and overall innovative style. At times she
characterized a heartbroken introvert or abnormal fear in her poetry. Emily Dickinson
work is also sometimes depressing, joyous, and celebratory. This can be seen in two
of her works: A Route of Evanescence and Because I could not stop for death. A
Route of Evanescence, is a joyous poem about how mesmerizing a hummingbird is
during flight. The speaker describes this hummingbird in detail about its color and
movement:
A Route of Evanesce
With a revolving Wheel
A Resonance of Emerald
A Rush of Cochineal (Dickinson Route 452).
The speaker indicates that the hummingbird is something that carves out a fading
path. She describes watching the hummingbird flash in and out of sight with its
circular motion. Then the speaker zooms in on two colors that she notices. She uses
precise shades of colors in order to make the images vivid and specific. With Rush,
the speaker continues to emphasize the speed of what
My Hero
Many people have their own heroes, be it big or small. Heroes who save their lives
or make their lives better or inspire them to do activities. For me, my hero is on a
technicality. While I never knew him personally, he is still responsible for creating
a show that inspired me to do animation when I was little. On top of that, the show
this person has created became a very popular and highly influential force in the pop
culture world and became an icon. It touched the hearts of millions in more ways
than one, from bringing either a slight chuckle or a huge impact on a person s life.
That show would be SpongeBob SquarePants, and that creator would be none other
than Stephen Hillenburg. Stephen McDannell Hillenburg was born on August 21,
1961 at Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma. He grew up in Anaheim, California, and
was fascinated by sea life during his childhood, influenced by the undersea

Consumer Behavior And Consumer Behaviour
Introduction
A consumer is any person that is involved in the process of consumption. They are
identified according to the market type to which they belong, namely final and
industrial consumers (Solomon, et al., 2013). Understanding the consumer behaviors
will aid in appreciating the various market segments and developing strategies for
effecting market penetration in these segments. It will also help in identifying
market gaps and shape their needs and objectives so as to solve the day to day
consumer s concerns in purchase.
The single purpose of all production is consumption. The producer s interest should
only be attended to as far as it is necessary in promoting the needs of a consumer
(Smith, 1937 p. 125). Studies on consumer behavior began in the 1960s, and later
several consumer theories which focused on the consumer from various perspectives
were developed. Marketers use these theories to deveop marketing strategies based on
attitudes, interests and consumer perception.
Consumer behavior theories All major consumer theories can be grouped into four
categories, namely economic, psychological, psycho analytical, and socio cultural
theories. They are based on the simple law of conumption that consumption increases
as aggregate income increases, assuming the habits of spending are constant and
political and economic conditions are free and perfect (Solomon, et al., 2013).
Economic theories Economic theories on consumption are focused on how income is
allocated and how
Racial Inequalities
Inequalities Between Whites and African Americans In order for us to work
towards a more racially equal society, we need to know what type of social policies
contribute to racial inequalities. Then, we need to either change those social policies
or get rid of them completely. Rothstein focuses mainly on housing policies, which
segregated African Americans from whites. Those social policies did not only
constraint African Americans from buying a house in neighborhoods predominantly
white, but it limited their accessibility to other important resources and services such
as employment and education. This is very similar to today s racial inequalities.
According to Rohstein, ... St. Louis was segregated by interlocking and racially
explicit public policies of zoning, public housing, and suburban finance, and by
publicly endorsed segregation policies of the real estate, banking, and insurance
industries (30). Real estate agents and banks contributed to this segregation between
whites and African Americans. As soon as African Americans moved to a
predominantly white neighborhood, whites would pack their things and leave.
According to Rothstein, Once [a black family] moved in and was visible, real estate
agents solicited nearby homeowners to sell quickly before an imminent influx of
black buyers caused their homes to lose value (25). This is one of the techniques that
real estate agents used to maintain whites and African Americans segregated. Real

Corporate Social Responsibility And Access Of Finance
The article Corporate Social Responsibility and Access to Finance was written by
Cheng et al. (2014) in order to show that firms that have better CSR performance are
less capital constrained. The aim of the essay is to argue that the analysis of the
relationship between CSR policies and the access to financeis a well done research
with interesting arguments and analysis; however, it has several limitations, which
will be examined. The aim will be achieved through a critical analysis of the paper.
It will be done in four stages: first, the key arguments of the article, second, the
strong points of the article, third, the limitations of the research, and final stage, the
specifications of the outcome. In this paper Cheng et al. (2014) argued that the
implementation of successful CSR policies leads to lower idiosyncratic risk due to
improved stakeholder engagement, which reduce agency costs of an organisation,
and increased transparency, which results a company becoming less capitally
constrained and enhances a firm s access to finance in capital markets. In order to
achieve their aim the authors use cross sectional analysis of firms around the world
and apply different variables and methods. They concluded that there is a link
between good CSR activities and access to finance; however, social and
environmental components of CSR are more significant for investors than the factor
of governance since the former ones have higher impact on capital constraints. It can

School Council Meeting Report
I am grateful for the opportunity to attend the council s meeting. I was a little
nervous about this assignment because I never been to a meeting and I never ask to
interview a council member, so I went down to my local city hall and inquired some
information about what day and time the council meetings are held. So I chose to go
to the meetingto get some insight on what really goes on at a council meeting. I did
want to interview a committee member because I was afraid that they would decline
the offer, but my plan is to talk to a council person if time permitted.
All council meetings are held at the Tupelo City Hall 71 East Troy St., Tupelo

The meeting lasted about an hour and I got a chance to speak with Councilwoman

The Pros And Cons Of Sous Vive Immersion Cooking
Is this the best pod? There are a lot of reasons why sous vive immersion cooking is
sweeping the country. It s the taste, the tenderness, the uniqueness of the result from
meats, sea foods, to garden vegetables and to fluffy eggs. It s no wonder people are
immersing themselves in sous vive style cooking. Actually the one thing keeping
even more people from enjoying the full sous vive experience is the feeling that
gourmet quality units are too complicated and expensive. And you know something,
they were right, until now. Introducing the Gourmia GSV140 Sous Vide Pod 2nd

The packaging is attractive, impressive and long. The top comes off, which contains
the clamp. The bottom tube contains the immersion cooker. The sous vive stick is
bigger than what it appears in the picture. It comes with an instruction manual. The
stick is about 14 inches long. The clamps top knob controls the tightness around the
precision cooker and the lower knob controls the tightness of the container or pot.
The container or pot can have a thickness of 1 inch. The clamp can also easily fit a
cooler. The safety levels are indicated on the cooker. If you do not have the
minimum amount of water, it s going to ring an alarm. You roughly need two and a
half inches of water in the bottom of the precision cooker and not to go past 6
inches. The stainless steel sleeve is removable. Underneath the sleeve are the heating
element, the probes and the impeller. At the very bottom of the metal sleeve is a
directional port. You can adjust the port to move the water in a different direction.
Just remove the bottom piece and reposition the nozzle. The electrical cord is roughly
30 inches. Operating the precision cooker manually is actually pretty simple. The
large number is the current temperature and the small number is the set temperature.

Panel Discussion On The State Of Texas
Panel Discussion
On April 21st, Dr. Saxe held a panel discussion that lasted an hour and 30 minutes.
All type of people that work at the local and state level went there, from people
running for different districts to the state representative, Chris Turner. During this
panel of discussion, 8 persons had the time to introduce themselves, what they re
running for, and what they would do if they get elected. This was a great day for
this class because we had the opportunity to interact with people who holds positions
in the state of Texas, giving us another view of how things work in Texas.
The candidates presented during this panel discussion were Representative Chris
turner, who serves in the higher education committee for district 101. Sheri
Capehart, who serves in district 2, all of her sons graduated from Arlington ISD.
Kelly Cannon, running for city council, district 1, she is the one involved with
taking away the red lights in Arlington. A person running for district seven in favor
of online voting, which I believe is ridiculous. Charlie Parker, he s the district 1
incumbent and an ex pilot from the navy. Dr. Victoria Myers, she taught political
science in UTA but now she is running for district seven, which is responsible by how
Arlington looks. John Hibbs, a member of the school district at Arlington, he has
served there for 6 years. And last but not least Jamie Sullins, the president of
Arlington Independent School District. All of these people intend to do what they
A Day At Martin High School
It was a rainy day At Martin High School. The lightning zapped and the thunder
boomed. The first bell rang it was time for homeroom. HOMEROOM, the sound
echoed in my head. I hated homeroom. The biggest, meanest, nastiest bully was
there, Larry. I hated Larry. He was always after me! Stealing my lunch money and
pounding me to a pulp. I made it to homeroom just fine avoiding Larry. Mrs. Ronald
started speaking, Homeroom today will be short, eight minutes to be exact. We have
an assembly today during 4th block. Get any homework you need to complete done

people. Incase you didn t know 50 people gasping at once sounds pretty cool, well for
me it did anyways. Nobody had to ask who did this or what happened. They knew
exactly what happened. as well did the teacher, but the principal never helped. It
seemed as if the principal was telling Larry to do this evil stuff and Larry was a robot.
It seemed plausible. But nobody has made a robot so sophisticated yet. While these
thoughts were running through my head I missed more than half of what we were
learning today. I snapped back to attention when the teacher snapped Turd Ferguson

The Tea Party, An Uprising Movement
The Tea Party, an uprising movement, with specific beliefs have made a major
political breakthrough in this year due to strategic framing usages and resources.
Their framing usages strongly conveys their social and economical perspective and
ideology through an extremist and phenomenological approach. Their framing
activities influences generalized belief, collective behavior, irrational behavior,
experiential commensurability, and specific grievances among the supporters. The
supporters are mainly consisted of a particular socioeconomic status while their
leaders are mainly elites of politicians and businessmen with an endless right winged
network. Concerns of the TeaParty slowly replacing the Republican Party has been
expressed and it... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With that, the Tea Party still frames itself to be a grassroot movement. A grassroot
movement, by definition, means an organization supported by ordinary people with a
non hierarchal foundation (Merriam Webster s online dictionary n.d). The re
definition of grassroot then fabricated the belief that the Tea Party is a pure
organization, but in actuality, it is not what it seems to be. It is rather an astroturf
movement. This re defining tactic is one of the few framing activities that the Tea
Party uses to advance their mobilization potential. The framing and counter framing
activities that the Tea Party has been religiously practicing includes: master framing,
cultural resonance, empirical credibility, and salience. The effects of these framing
notions advances toward an acceptance or a rejection, but for this movement, it
strives for public acceptance and admittance for their reformist beliefs and ideology.
These activities are the essential elements to carry through the movement s political
agenda. Master framing is a type of frame with an extensive appeal and it can
influence biased social constructivism. The Tea Party uses this type of framing to
identify their perspective of the problem. They believe that the government has poor
handling with public services such as healthcare and there is too much much public
taxing. One of their main concerns is the ObamaCare, officially known as the
Affordability Care Act, which is phrased as a hideous
Destin Brass
Destin Brass Products Destin Brass produces three products used for water
purification systems: valves, pumps and flow controllers. They are seeing high
competition in the pumps market while competitors are reducing the prices on
pumps. Because they do not have any design advantages to their product, they feel
they need to follow the market and lower their prices as well. A meeting was held to
discuss the declining profits and a proposal to change their overhead allocation
method was proposed. 1.)Use the Overhead Cost Activity Analysis in Exhibit 5 and
other data on manufacturing costs to estimate product costs for values, pumps and
flow controllers. Based on the information in the case, the cost of valves is $39, the

Another option is for Destin Brass to raise the price of flow controllers or reduce the
production runs to one per month reducing the per unit cost of the flow controllers.
Other areas the firm could look at is reducing the number of shipments being made of
the flow controllers. Currently they make 22 shipments; if they could reduce that it
would lower the per unit cost. They could also consider reducing the number of
transactions for receiving and handling of the flow controllers. I m not sure how
realistic these options are for the company but they are worth considering. 4.)Assume
that interest in a new basis for cost accounting at Destin Brass Products remains high.
In the following month, quantities produced and sold, activities, and costs were all at
standard. How much higher or lower would the net income reported under the activity
transaction based system be than the net income that will be reported under the
present, more traditional system? Why? Net Income should not change if Destin
Brass switched accounting systems. The switch would not change costs it only
reallocates them across the different products offered. Net Income is calculated by
taking revenues minus costs and if costs do not change from one system to the next,
net income will not
The Jehovah s Witness Religion
Jehovah s Witness Religion The Jehovah s Witness religion is a well known religion
in the United States that began in the 19th century. Jehovah s Witness is categorized
under the Christian denomination; whose followers believe that others have
misinterpreted the true teachings of Jesus. This religion is very heavy on the
emphasis of spreading their faith around to the whole world. Around fifty years ago
the Jehovah s Witnesses numbered fewer than 100,000 members. Currently there are
a million of them around the world. They don t have churches like other religions;
instead they have what they call as Kingdom Halls. These halls are normally rented
buildings: an auditorium, a gymnasium, or a simple building. Inside they usually

He co published The Herald of the Morning magazine with its founder, N. H.

The Watch Tower, which later became known as the Watertower Bible and Tract

When Russell died in 1916, Judge Joseph R. Rutherford, born in 1869 as a Baptist
became the legal advisor to the Watch Tower. He is the one who changed the name
of the organization to The Jehovah s Witness. After Rutherford s death, Nathan Knorr
took over and after Knorr Frederick William Franz became president. Each of these
men are very important figures in the Jehovah religion. They each made
Analysis Of Neurosis And Human Growth Written By Karen

The Search for Glory, Neurotic Claims, The Tyranny of the Should, Neurotic Pride,
Self Hate and Self Contempt, Alienation from Self, General Measures to Relieve
Tension, The Expansive Solutions: the appeal of mastery, The Self Effacing Solution:

In the first chapter titled, The Search for Glory , Karen Horney explains a human s
potential to develop their own unique thoughts, wishes, interests and feelings,
which is their real self. She describes the real self as, that central inner force,
common to all human beings and yet unique in each, which is the deep source of
growth . The real self is all about the individual s depth and clarity of their own
feelings, strength of their own will power, special talents or gifts they might be
born with, and are able to express themselves. The goal as they grow older is to
grow toward self realization. But first to expand their given potentialities, they must
be provided with favorable conditions to grow. These conditions include a warm
atmosphere, for a feeling of inner freedom and security encouraging them to have
their own thoughts and feeling, leading them to better self expression. Next they
need the good will of others in order to develop
Biological Warfare In Vietnam War
In many cases, war is fought in order to gain something. It could be territory, or
wealth, or power, but in some cases it is fought simply to kill. A type of warfare that
exemplifies this is chemical and biological warfare. These attacks are aimed simply
at killing everybody. In addition, most people think of biological warfare as a very
recent wartactic, dating back not much further than agent orange, deployed in
Vietnam. In fact, one of the first and one of the most devastating instances of
biological warfare occurred much earlier, in 1347. This was the attack that brought
the black plague from it s origins in western Asia to Europe through Caffa, a city on
the modern Crimean peninsula.
Though originally the plan of the attack was to capture the city, it ended with
massive death both in the city, and millions of deaths in the surrounding countries.
So although biological warfare is considered a modern tactic, one of the most
devastating attacks ever involved biological warfare at the siege of Caffa in 1347. ...

transmitted to mainland Europe through the Siege of Caffa, in which the mongols
came to the Crimean peninsula to wage war, bringing with them the disease. From
Crimea the plague then continued to spread through Europe. It hit Sicily and
Mainland Italy first, in 1347, then continued to North Africa, Spain, England and
France in 1348. In 1349 it came to Germany, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland and the
Low countries. Then, in 1350, it concluded its spread in

Another advantage is that payments will be level and interest rate will be fixed, since
the boards forecast for the future is very pessimistic. The negatives of using debt
through an insurance company have nothing to do with the financing or numbers. It
is the management who was entirely against the idea. They believed that long term
fixed rates were too high, even though they had yet to return to early 1995 levels,
where they were significantly higher. Another problem management had with the use
of debt through insurance was that they did not like that there would be an
extravagant set of covenants. More specifically Ruhl said that he disliked the type of
covenant that could put the company in default without any action of management.
Violation of a debt capital ratio, for instance, explained Ruhl with great relish, could
occur as a result of an adverse year rather than anything we do. (Case Studies in
Finance) Management, Ruhl, was extremely adamant about not agreeing to
something that was out of his control. Ruhl actually preferred the informal loan,
saying it was friendly . This shows how much management does not know about
financial decisions. Spreading the debt out over a longer period of time would
improve the quick and current ratios. (see exhibit 7a) A negative of the loan itself is
that if Padgett were to have the cash to prepay the loan they would face

Beethoven Essay

  • 1. Beethoven Essay Writing an essay on Beethoven can be both a daunting and enriching task. On one hand, delving into the life and works of this iconic composer offers a plethora of fascinating material to explore. Beethoven's impact on the world of classical music, his revolutionary compositions, and the personal challenges he faced present an array of angles to approach the essay. However, the vastness of his contributions and the need to capture the essence of his music in words can be a formidable challenge. To successfully write a comprehensive Beethoven essay, one must navigate through the intricacies of his compositions, understanding the historical context in which he lived, and exploring the emotional depth embedded in his music. It requires a delicate balance between providing factual information about his life and creatively expressing the profound influence his music has had on the world. Furthermore, crafting an essay on Beethoven necessitates careful consideration of the various periods in his musical career, from his early works to the later, more introspective compositions. Attempting to encapsulate the evolution of his style and the innovative nature of his creations adds layers of complexity to the writing process. In essence, while the prospect of writing a Beethoven essay may seem challenging, the opportunity to explore the life and artistry of one of the greatest composers in history is a rewarding endeavor. • 2. Describe the Difference in Managerial Accounting vs. Cost... Describe how managerial accounting is different from cost accounting. Cost accounting is the process of tracking, recording and analyzing costs associated with a company s product or project. Internal managers are the ones who normally use cost accounting information. Direct Costs, Indirect Costs and Overhead/Absorbed Costs are usually what are measured in Cost Accounting. This information is then used by managers when decisions are made dealing with company costs and how to improve the profit. (Wild Shaw) Management accounting provides the other managers information on the business decisions that allow them to keep their management and control functions equipped. Management accounting is used within an organization and is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The financial bonuses should be tied to how much the team saves this year. Often companies tend to cut individuals who do not have top priority tasks. Keeping the ones who are important understand and will help you save a lot of money. Dr. White has to prepare to implement cost reductions in her organization; she must be open, honest and be sincere with all the staff about reducing the cost and how this will affect the organization. She should reduce the headcount in proportion in the difference within the work load. If the community center generally treats more cases that the outpatient sections then the cuts could be made from outpatient. Service contracts are easy to work with as long as the current provider or new provider is reasonable. Normally travel, consultation and professional budgets are cut. What is the hardest has to cut people that work closely with a manager, it is important for the manager to budget responsibly. The employee should be notified immediately of such actions so they are prepared and can have time to look for something new. Sometimes this is not the case, as for a friend of mine who showed up to work one day and they informed her they had to let her go. Usually an outgoing employee should be provided with a departure package, lump sum payment or package with benefits to help them with the sudden change. With the first budget below, it has been reduced $94,000. There has been an

The Waffle House is a 24 hour diner place that sales just about anything that you want. Although Waffle House is an excellent place to eat at, there are things that make people think twice bout going. Most Waffle Houses are extremely cold. Why? because workers are dealing with eggs and things of that nature and employees become very hot quick. When sitting at the table, the waiter gives a napkin to put the fork, the spoon and the knife on. In some Waffle Houses, the utensils are not always clean. Dirty spots are on both utensils, plates and cups. The drinks have things floating around in it, which is very unacceptable. When customers. come they have
  • 4. Jane Eyre Foils In the novel, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre has the option of either marrying Rochester or St. John Rivers. Rochester and St. John Rivers are foils, however they do share some characteristics. Both Rochester and St. John Rivers have many strengths and weaknesses that influence Jane Eyre s choice of whom she shall marry. In Jane Eyre, St. John Rivers and Rochester have contrasting personalities which help Jane Eyre determine who she should marry. St. John Rivers is cold, hostile, and austere. While describing St. John Rivers, Jane Eyre says, To me he was in reality become no longer flesh, but marble and his heart had been really a matter of stone or metal. When Jane Eyre rejects his marriageproposal, he no longer treats her in a kind, respectful manner. He... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Jane Eyre says, he forgets pitilessly, the feelings and claims and of little people, in pursuing his own large views. When Jane Eyre declines St. John Rivers marriage proposal, he does not take her feelings into consideration. St. John Rivers soly recognizes how her rejection will affect him and his mission trip to India. This shows that he is not open to the ideas and feelings of others when he has a goal set in mind for himself. St. John Rivers says, Rosamond a sufferer, a labourer, a female apostle? Rosamond a missionary s wife? No! St John Rivers is a priest who devotes his life to God. His devotion to God can be considered a strength and a weakness. This can be portrayed as a strength because he helps others around the world by going on missionary trips, but he also sacrifices all the pleasures and luxuries in his life. Instead of staying at Gateshead and telling Rosamond Oliver how he feels, he leaves on a missionary trip to India because he believes she is not suited to be a missionary wife. His devotion to God causes St. John Rivers to be strict and self denying. St. John Rivers way of helping those who are destitute can be considered a strength of his. Before

This past spring break I was fortunate enough to travel to Arlington, Texas, with my youth group from my church. As a group, this would be our second time traveling to Arlington for a mission purpose. As an individual, Arlington changed me. When my youth group is traveling a long distance, we rent a couple of twelve passenger vans. Driving to Arlington takes about ten hours, including bathroom stops and lunch breaks. Every time my youth leader tells the group to go to the bathroom, no one listens. That is because we are teenagers and do not have the best listening skills. One teen needed to take a whiz and could not hold it for much longer. His solution was to relieve himself into a water bottle. This would be an interesting trip for every single one of us. Even though these kids are experiencing rough times, they still emit more loving energy than expected. These kids love you as if you are their long lost sibling. They were not afraid to sprint up to us with their arms wide open. Mission Arlington shows me how to love people you have only known for a week. This mission trip transformed me on how I perceive life at home. Even though my youth group and I are back home, we still think about the children at Eagle Crest quite often. • 7. The Field Of Special Education The commitment of teaching in the field of special education is challenging. The undertaking is prodigious, but when a child with disabilities flourishes under the direction of a special education teacher s leadership, the outcome is life altering for both. The main goal for a student with special needs is for the student to acquire skills that are vital to achieve placement in a regular education classroom and be able to take part in the class on a daily basis. In order for a strategy of inclusion to be successful, effective collaboration between the parents and teacher is imperative. A recent spike in the number of children born with some type of disability is evident and local school districts must prepare themselves for the task of educating these students. Many challenges lie in the path of a student with special needs, but the greatest challenge they must conquer is the misconception that they are not capable of learning. When a teacher highly qualified for special education provides the appropriate education a student with disabilities requires, the student can and will learn. Students identified as special needs display disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, loss of hearing and visual impairment (Hardman, Drew, Egan, 2014). An individual s intelligence is determined by their IQ, also known as Intelligence Quotient, which is characterized as mental skills that allow an individual to engage in problem solving situations and the capability to learn.

When I was in elementary school my best friend s father was diplomat for the State Department. He would constantly tell me stories of his travels from living in South Africa, Germany, and Thailand. I already loved traveling and I was so in love with this job because the career would be receiving a check for something I already love to do. However it is not only about the traveling this job has many benefits including being able to resolve world issues and help un developed countries with their issues. Being a diplomat for the U.S government requires many requirements. There are not many educational requirements a college degree is sufficient enough. What is really needed is to pass the Foreign Service Exam. This exam consists of a written exam, oral interview, and a negotiating exercise. After passing the test a medical and security clearance is then required. Passing all those will allow you to be selected into the Foreign Service for the United States government. This process is said to be more selective than Harvard University (Working Abroad). Although being selected and qualifying for this process would be very honorable I am fortunate enough to have a father and family members with great ties in the Saudi Arabian government. My father used to work with a Prince of Saudi Arabiawhose uncle is the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia. My father still remains in contact with him and he would be more

Grival said the knight riding the horse had probably tried to make the beast shift like a dancer, he also said he d have to put the poor thing down. I liked that horse a lot, so when no one was looking I went to say good bye, only when I touched it something happened and I could feel the creatures pain as if it was my own. Fin wondered what had to be going through Ronan s mind as he leads the prince through the dirty and overwhelmingly smelly mess of human workers. Since it was only mid day the bar was practically empty, when Fin and Ronan entered into the establishment. The main part of the pub was buried three floors under the earth, so Fin and Ronan had to go down a few stone stairs before they were able to see the bar. What do you think so far? Dances With Wolves Stereotypes Overcoming Stereotypes in the Movie, Dances With Wolves Everyone has a preconceived opinion of how a certain ethnic group is in terms of the way they live, the morals they hold, the way they deal with people different from them, and how they deal with one another. We come to these conclusions by what we have seen in the media, heard from other people, or actually experienced ourselves. Most people would consider these opinions to be stereotypes. While he was journeying out to the frontier Dunbar asked Timmons, a man that was taking him there, what he thought about Indians. With no hesitation at all Timmons stated that they were all thieves, murderers, and savages. Dunbar didn t ever state what he thought of the Indians. I got the impression that he really did not have an opinion about them because he has never dealt with them. He seemed like the type of guy that would not assume something without experiencing it for himself. Everyone he talked to about Indians probably said the same things Timmons did, but for some reason Dunbar was different from the rest. He seemed to be better than that. The Indians are finally presented in the movie by the screen scanning across a wide open desert very peaceful and deserted. In the middle of all this silence the camera fell upon a skeleton of a human that we assume the Indians killed. This is how the movie sets the tone for how we are going to think about the Indians. They play with the stereotype that all us Americans think are true about the Indians. At first we think that we were right, but the story does not end there. Mahatma Gandhi And Bhagat Singh Jeevanjot Singh 800417Political Science 100 Sarah Munawar Writing of Bhagat Singh and mahatma Gandhi on the use of violence as instrument in politics Violence in politics means to oppose or to struggle against the policies of ruling government or authority by strikes, revolutions, riots, etc. India was ruled by the British government from 1858 to 1947 and this period is called colonial rule. The British government took all the power and control from Indians in very less time. Violence plays a crucial role in every revolution, as it helped India during the independence movement from the British Raj where number of freedom fighters such as Lala Lajpat rai, Bhagat Singh and many more lost their lives for the country. At that time two main revolution took place in India, violence and non violence. Bhagat Singh was portrayed as a macho gun toting freedom fighter who believed that violence is more effective a way of achieving independence from British rule (Saha para 4) whereas Gandhi took the religious principle of ahimsa (doing no harm) common to Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism and turned it into a non violent tool for mass action and demanded the transfer of power from the Britishers (BBC 1). Here, I would like to compare and contrast ideas of Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh on the use of violence as an instrument of politics. Mahatma Gandhi and Bhagat Singh both were freedom fighters and put their efforts in Independence of India. Gandhi believes in

American Social Policy And Social Change Essay Here in the United States, disputes about the axiological restructuring of American social policy and social change are at the forefront of our policymaking, and one can assume it will remain so for the anticipated future. The belief that change is necessary is evident to all Americans, but which path to take is immensely different. Abramovitz states that, Ideology is more that abstract ideas. It has raised hopes, inspired fear, and drawn blood for millions of human beings (2008). Americans stand to make their ideologies on platforms when they elect politicians who share in their beliefs, ideologies, and cultural norms into positions of power. When this occurs, Americans look to their politicians to adhere to their beliefs and take the path to change they see fit. Throughout history, there is a persistent power struggle between American political parties, primarily Republican and Democrat, and the ideologies they harbor. When one party has a more dominant omnipresence, the overall ideology of the country tends to shift. In 2007, Karger Stoesz state that, Ideological trends influence social welfare when adherents of one orientation hold sway in decision making capacities (p.5). According to Gil, Choices in social welfare policy are heavily influenced by the dominant beliefs, values, ideologies, customs, and traditions of the cultural and political elites recruited mainly from among the more powerful and privileged strata (1981, p.32). • 40. Consumer Behavior And Consumer Behaviour Introduction A consumer is any person that is involved in the process of consumption. They are identified according to the market type to which they belong, namely final and industrial consumers (Solomon, et al., 2013). Understanding the consumer behaviors will aid in appreciating the various market segments and developing strategies for effecting market penetration in these segments. It will also help in identifying market gaps and shape their needs and objectives so as to solve the day to day consumer s concerns in purchase. The single purpose of all production is consumption. The producer s interest should only be attended to as far as it is necessary in promoting the needs of a consumer (Smith, 1937 p. 125). Studies on consumer behavior began in the 1960s, and later several consumer theories which focused on the consumer from various perspectives were developed. Marketers use these theories to deveop marketing strategies based on attitudes, interests and consumer perception. Consumer behavior theories All major consumer theories can be grouped into four categories, namely economic, psychological, psycho analytical, and socio cultural theories. They are based on the simple law of conumption that consumption increases as aggregate income increases, assuming the habits of spending are constant and political and economic conditions are free and perfect (Solomon, et al., 2013). Economic theories Economic theories on consumption are focused on how income is allocated and how
  • 41. Racial Inequalities Inequalities Between Whites and African Americans In order for us to work towards a more racially equal society, we need to know what type of social policies contribute to racial inequalities. Then, we need to either change those social policies or get rid of them completely. Rothstein focuses mainly on housing policies, which segregated African Americans from whites. Those social policies did not only constraint African Americans from buying a house in neighborhoods predominantly white, but it limited their accessibility to other important resources and services such as employment and education. This is very similar to today s racial inequalities. According to Rohstein, ... St. Louis was segregated by interlocking and racially explicit public policies of zoning, public housing, and suburban finance, and by publicly endorsed segregation policies of the real estate, banking, and insurance industries (30). Real estate agents and banks contributed to this segregation between whites and African Americans. As soon as African Americans moved to a predominantly white neighborhood, whites would pack their things and leave. According to Rothstein, Once [a black family] moved in and was visible, real estate agents solicited nearby homeowners to sell quickly before an imminent influx of black buyers caused their homes to lose value (25). This is one of the techniques that real estate agents used to maintain whites and African Americans segregated. Real estate agents and mortgage

  • 44. Corporate Social Responsibility And Access Of Finance The article Corporate Social Responsibility and Access to Finance was written by Cheng et al. (2014) in order to show that firms that have better CSR performance are less capital constrained. The aim of the essay is to argue that the analysis of the relationship between CSR policies and the access to financeis a well done research with interesting arguments and analysis; however, it has several limitations, which will be examined. The aim will be achieved through a critical analysis of the paper. It will be done in four stages: first, the key arguments of the article, second, the strong points of the article, third, the limitations of the research, and final stage, the specifications of the outcome. In this paper Cheng et al. (2014) argued that the implementation of successful CSR policies leads to lower idiosyncratic risk due to improved stakeholder engagement, which reduce agency costs of an organisation, and increased transparency, which results a company becoming less capitally constrained and enhances a firm s access to finance in capital markets. In order to achieve their aim the authors use cross sectional analysis of firms around the world and apply different variables and methods. They concluded that there is a link between good CSR activities and access to finance; however, social and environmental components of CSR are more significant for investors than the factor of governance since the former ones have higher impact on capital constraints. With that, the Tea Party still frames itself to be a grassroot movement. A grassroot movement, by definition, means an organization supported by ordinary people with a non hierarchal foundation (Merriam Webster s online dictionary n.d). The re definition of grassroot then fabricated the belief that the Tea Party is a pure organization, but in actuality, it is not what it seems to be. It is rather an astroturf movement. This re defining tactic is one of the few framing activities that the Tea Party uses to advance their mobilization potential. The framing and counter framing activities that the Tea Party has been religiously practicing includes: master framing, cultural resonance, empirical credibility, and salience. The effects of these framing notions advances toward an acceptance or a rejection, but for this movement, it strives for public acceptance and admittance for their reformist beliefs and ideology. These activities are the essential elements to carry through the movement s political agenda. Master framing is a type of frame with an extensive appeal and it can influence biased social constructivism. The Tea Party uses this type of framing to identify their perspective of the problem. They believe that the government has poor handling with public services such as healthcare and there is too much much public taxing. One of their main concerns is the ObamaCare, officially known as the Affordability Care Act, which is phrased as a hideous

Other areas the firm could look at is reducing the number of shipments being made of the flow controllers. Currently they make 22 shipments; if they could reduce that it would lower the per unit cost. They could also consider reducing the number of transactions for receiving and handling of the flow controllers. They believed that long term fixed rates were too high, even though they had yet to return to early 1995 levels, where they were significantly higher. Another problem management had with the use of debt through insurance was that they did not like that there would be an extravagant set of covenants. More specifically Ruhl said that he disliked the type of covenant that could put the company in default without any action of management. Violation of a debt capital ratio, for instance, explained Ruhl with great relish, could occur as a result of an adverse year rather than anything we do.
