- Ojeu procurement – 3months (restricted)Service we built was based on two overarching principles:1 – how to get businesses to adopt ebusiness (therefore providing a need for superfast broadband) via the understanding of its business benefits in a wider context2 – how to engage with business owners/managers despite/inspite of their personal technological views and opinions.
- Our approach to business support delivery for superfast broadband centres on the need to encourage adoption of ebusiness within the business themselves. We aren’t broadband salespeople. We promote the benefits of ebusiness – more productivity, more efficiency, more sales, more profit. Work smarter, not harder. The side effect of all of this is the need for broadband.Why?Product of 2 European research projects in 2007-08 with partners in Poland and Australia and influenced by American and Welsh practice also. Demonstrates the cycle but the cycle doesn’t naturally occur. Green points are where external stimulation can be applied. Once sufficient momentum exists in the marketplace, the cycle will begin to occur naturally as businesses have to adapt to keep up with the marketplace.
- Flexible and adaptable approach. Service is different for every user. Patterns are emerging and customers are making their own ‘packages’ of support which we can replicate easily.
