1. Job Simplification Variety of tasks 		Job Simplification means that the variety and difficulty of task performed by a single person are reduced.
2. Job Rotation Job Rotation means moving employees from job to job to give them greater variety of task so that to help preventing Boredom.
3. Job Enlargement 	Job Enlargement is an expansion of the number of different task performed by an employee. Fewer worker are needed with the new technology, and each employee has to be able to perform a greater number and variety of task.
4. Job Enrichment 	More advanced technology tends to cause Job Enrichment meaning that the job provides greater responsibility, recognition and opportunities for growth and development.

With the advanced technology workers have to keep learning new skills because technology changes so rapidly. Workers find their job changes almost daily because of new software programs, changes in the use of internet & other changes in information technology.

Socio-technical system approach  	The socio-technical approach recognizes the interaction of technical and human need in effective job design, combining the needs of the people with the organization's need for technical efficiency.
Socio portion of the approach ------ The socio portion of the approach refers to people and group working in the organization & how work is organized and coordinated . Technical portion of the approach------ The technical portion refers to material, machines, tools & processes used to transform organizational inputs into outputs.
The Socio-technical approach
Goal of Socio-technical system approach 		The goal of socio-technical system approach is to design the organization for joint optimization, which means that an organization functions best when the social and technical systems are designed to fit the needs of one another.
