Inside the Computer
When you first open up a
computer it can look pretty
messy and daunting to figure
out. There are so many bits
are pieces of a computer that
it makes it very hard to figure
out what each piece just
does.
Motherboard
The primary purpose
of the motherboard is to
allow other components
to communicate to each
other. It houses all the
components and turns it
into one "unit"
CPU
The CPU is the
brain and heart of
the computer.
It controls and
manipulates data to
produce the required
information.
Video card
The Video card allows
you to see. The monitor is
plugged into the video card
so the video card will be able
to produce a image that will
be displayed on the screen.
RAM
Random Access Memory
CD-ROM
A CD-ROM is a
drive which allows
you to read CDs. It
can read data CDs
and it can also play
music CDs.
A data CD
holds around 650
Megabytes of
information.

into speakers or a head phones.
CPU plays a vital role in
the operation of as
computer.
When do you play as a
CPU to others?
HOTS:
What is the use of having a
little background on PC
Anatomy? How can it help
you?
