An electronic device which is capable of receiving
information (data) in a particular form and of performing a
sequence of operations in accordance with a predetermined
but variable set of procedural instructions (program) to
produce a result in the form of information or signals.
Computer software, on the other hand, is not
something you can touch. Software is a set of
instructions for a computer to perform specific
operations. You need both hardware and software
for a computer system to work.
Computer hardware is the collection of physical
components that constitute a computer system.
Computer hardware is the physical parts or
components of a computer, such
as monitor, keyboard, computer data
storage, hard disk drive (HDD), graphic
card, sound card, memory (RAM), motherboard
and many more.
 A central processing unit (CPU) is
the electronic circuitry within
a computer that carries out
the instructions of a computer
program by performing the basic
arithmetic, logical, control
and input/output (I/O) operations
specified by the instructions. The term
has been used in the computer industry
at least since the early 1960s.
Traditionally, the term "CPU" refers to
a processor, more specifically to its
processing unit and control unit (CU),
distinguishing these core elements of a
computer from external components
such as main memory and I/O
circuitry.

 Microsoft Word is a widely used
commercial word processor designed
by Microsoft. Microsoft Word is a
component of the Microsoft Office
suite of productivity software, but can
also be purchased as a stand-alone
product.
 It was initially launched in 1983 and
has since been revised numerous
times. Microsoft Word is available on
both Windows and Macintosh
operating systems.
 Microsoft Word is often called simply
Word or MS Word.
Microsoft Excel is
a spreadsheet developed
by Microsoft for Windows, macro's, A
ndroid and iOS. It features calculation,
graphing tools, pivot tables, and
a macro programming language
called Visual Basic for Applications. It
has been a very widely applied
spreadsheet for these platforms,
especially since version 5 in 1993, and
it has replaced Lotus 1-2-3 as the
industry standard for spreadsheets.
Excel forms part of Microsoft Office.
Microsoft PowerPoint is a slide show presentation
program currently developed by Microsoft, for use on both
Microsoft and Apple Macintosh operating systems.
PowerPoint, initially named "Presenter", was created
by Forethought Inc.. Microsoft's version of PowerPoint was
officially launched on May 22, 1990, as a part of the Microsoft
Office suite. PowerPoint is useful for helping develop the slide-
based presentation format and is currently one of the most
commonly used slide-based presentation programs available.
Microsoft has also released the PowerPoint mobile application
for use on Apple and Android mobile operating systems
An operating system (OS) is system
software that manages computer
hardware and software resources and
provides common services for computer
programs. All computer programs,
excluding firmware, require an operating
system to function.
Time-sharing operating systems schedule
tasks for efficient use of the system and
may also include accounting software for
cost allocation of processor time, mass
storage, printing, and other resources.
For hardware functions such as input and
output and memory allocation, the
operating system acts as an intermediary
between programs and the computer
 Windows 7 (codenamed Vienna,
formerly Blackcomb[7]) is a personal
computer operating system developed by Microsoft.
It is a part of the Windows NT family of operating
systems. Windows 7 was released to
manufacturing on July 22, 2009, and became
generally available on October 22, 2009,[8] less than
three years after the release of its
predecessor, Windows Vista. Windows
7's server counterpart, Windows Server 2008 R2, was
released at the same time.
The Internet is the global system of
interconnected computer networks that use
the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link devices
worldwide. It is a network of networks that consists of
private, public, academic, business, and government
networks of local to global scope, linked by a broad
array of electronic, wireless, and optical networking
technologies. The Internet carries an extensive range
of information resources and services, such as the
inter-linked hypertext documents and applications of
the World Wide Web (WWW), electronic
mail, telephony, and peer-to-peer networks for file
sharing.
