1. Band Image Manipulation
The image above is the main image I have used on the contents page of my final media product, which
is the feature artist Holly Taylor. The raw image taken is significantly different to the final image used,
this was done to increase the quality of my image and make sure it was much more suitable to use in
my final product. I felt that the original image was a bit dull and dark for a main image and would not
attract and incise the reader. So solve this problem, I increased the brightness of the image slightly.
Once I had applied these effects, to give the image more depth and make sure it stood out as a main
image, I increased the contrast of the image which gave the image a much more professional look and
made certain elements stand out a bit more. I also increased the saturation of the image, in order to
add vibrancy and make further aspects of the image stand out more, such as the guitar and the models
outfit.

2. Another significant change I made to the initial raw image was that I resized and cropped it to make
it for suitable for the contents page. This ensured that the image primarily focussed on the model, as
well as the prop she is holding. Additionally, on the final image I cropped out the background of the
photo and added a shadow, to make the image appear to be more professional and something
which you would find in a music magazine.
