A- Classroom Demographics
lowa the King Catholic School consists of approximately 240 students from pre-k to 8th grade. The kindergarten class, the classroom in which I observed, consists of 21 students. Students’ demographics are 15 white students, three African American students, one Asian student, and one Hispanic student. The classroom is managed by two teachers who are trained to deal with different ethnic groups. Because the school is a private school, most of the students represent middle to high levels of socioeconomic status.
The students’ behaviors in the kindergarten class are diverse. As students in the kindergarten class are a younger age, they normally are very active and teachers were very professional in dealing with them. The teachers always reminded the children of the rules of the class such as, “Don’t speak when the teacher is talking. Don’t answer questions until the teacher asks you to answer”. In addition, in the class, there is a leadership board and every day the teachers put one of the student’s name on the board to be the leader of the day. The leader’s job is to do the morning work such as set the date of the day, weather, and season on the smart board by getting help from the teachers and students. Also, some of the leader’s job is to organize the students’ line when they go to the restroom in the restroom times and when they go to the play area.
The teachers plan the lesson carefully to meet all students’ needs. They develop the curriculum to align with all students’ cultures and backgrounds. They print all of the vocabulary they teach students on cards and put them on the board. In addition, they put different books that are related to different cultures in the class library for students to read in the reading time.
B- Philosophy
From my point of view, most of the students’ problems and misbehaviors happen for a reason. Therefore, it is the teacher’s job to find out the reasons for the misbehaviors and teach the students the appropriate behaviors. The most effective way to prevent the misbehavior is to focus on replacing and teaching the positive behavior instead of eliminating it. the theory of Ibrahim Maslow supports this idea and shows that undesired behavior happens not because of a bad child, but because of the child is reaction when one or more of his/her basic needs are not being met. These needs include Knowledge and understanding, self-actualization, self-respect, belongingness and affection, safety and security, physiological needs. He suggests that to reduce child negative behavior, parents and teachers should work to meet the child’ needs.
Furthermore, I believe that teachers can create a productive and positive classroom atmosphere by conducting group activities to help students form good relationships with classmates and became familiar with other cultures and ethnicities. As students in the kindergarten class are a younger age, they normally are very active and teachers were very professional in dealing with them. The teachers always reminded the children of the rules of the class such as, “Don’t speak when the teacher is talking. Don’t answer questions until the teacher asks you to answer”. In addition, in the class, there is a leadership board and every day the teachers put one of the student’s name on the board to be the leader of the day. The leader’s job is to do the morning work such as set the date of the day, weather, and season on the smart board by getting help from the teachers and students. Also, some of the leader’s job is to organize the students’ line when they go to the restroom in the restroom times and when they go to the play area.
The teachers plan the lesson carefully to meet all students’ needs. They develop the curriculum to align with all students’ cultures and backgrounds. They print all of the vocabulary they teach students on cards and put them on the board. In addition, they put different books that are related to different cultures in the class library for students to read in the reading time.
B- Philosophy
From my point of view, most of the students’ problems and misbehaviors happen for a reason. Therefore, it is the teacher’s job to find out the reasons for the misbehaviors and teach the students the appropriate behaviors. The most effective way to prevent the misbehavior is to focus on replacing and teaching the positive behavior instead of eliminating it. the theory of Ibrahim Maslow supports this idea and shows that undesired behavior happens not because of a bad child, but because of the child is reaction when one or more of his/her basic needs are not being met. These needs include Knowledge and understanding, self-actualization, self-respect, belongingness and affection, safety and security, physiological needs. He suggests that to reduce child negative behavior, parents and teachers should work to meet the child’ needs.
Furthermore, I believe that teachers can create a productive and positive classroom atmosphere by conducting group activities to help students form good relationships with classmates and became familiar with other cultures and ethnicities. Step One:
McGregory educational agency helps students, both local and international secure placements in community colleges and universities. We guide students to identify a course of their choice and make necessary arrangements to facilitate placement. We offer professional guidance according to students' specifications. For example, a student identifies the path they want to do. We provide a range of colleges and universities offering the came, including cost and accommodation facilities for international students (Sá & Sabzalieva, 2018). Once a student identifies their college or university of choice, we take them through all the processes to ensure they get a placement. Student retention has, however, been a recurring problem with international students.
During my tenure in the educational agency administration for various community colleges, we encountered international student retention problems. Most international students apply to a college and get admitted, but they get a cheaper course in another college and transfer to that particular college once they are placed. A transfer would mean the process has to be started worldwide, a major international student recruitment challenge. Low retention rates could hurt the agency's reputation.
Step 2
The agency is divided into two departments, one that deals with local students and another that deals with international students. The international student's department has over ten staff, and we specifically handle students from selected countries in Africa, Australia, and other non-American students in eligible countries. In the last ten years, we have managed to facilitate the transition of 5,987 local students to universities and colleges and 2,341 international students to get placements in colleges and universities around the US.
During the last two years, student retention has been dropping significantly. The previous year was the worst, with the agency recording a 35% drop from the previous year. The problem had escalated to the point that authorities were concerned about our student retention rate, which would cause dire consequences if not addressed on time. Therefore, a team was selected to identify the cause of low retention rates and find possible solutions to the problem. The group, thus, embarked on extensive student analysis and identified some loopholes that needed to be filled immediately to avoid escalation of the situation.
We identified that our application process was not thorough in identifying students who can complete a course of choice since course selection was not fully informed. Additionally, international students had no idea of America's education structure, and once admitted, they experienced a challenge in coping with the learning mode(Ammigan & Perez-Encinas, 2018). - 7. Reading We will be learning able the main idea, authors purpose, settings, compare and contrasting, details and sequencing, transition words, beginning, middle and endings, summarizing, predicting outcomes, inferencing, fact and fiction, genres, and reading strategies.

- 9. Math We will be learning about numbers and operations, measurement, data, multiplication and division, fractions, geometry. These units include time, shapes, estimation, fact families, skip counting, three digit addition and subtraction plus much more!
- 10. Social Studies Units are titled Before There Was a Georgia, Georgia’s Beginnings, Personal Finance, and Native Georgians. The students will locate major topographical features of Georgia and describe how these features define Georgia’s surface. The students will describe the cultural and geographic systems associated with the historical figures such as James Oglethorpe, Tomochichi, and Mary Musgrove. The students will define the concept of government and the need for rules and laws. Civil rights, personal rights, and personal finance.

Students should do their homework independently first before asking for help. 80 minutes of reading is required per week. Tech Thursday will be online homework. Weekly blog assignment.
