Shea Butter Research Paper
Quite a few beauty magazines are jumping on the bandwagon and praising the wonderful benefits
bestowed on those that regularly use Shea butter. The fact is that Shea butter is actually a good all
around beauty treatment for the hair and the skin. Of course, this is not something new. The product
has been around for centuries and used by the ancients for beauty purposes too. Experts agree that
Shea butter is packed with all the natural emollients that are responsible for nourishing and
moisturizing the hair. Of course, it is the unrefined Shea butter that provides the most benefits.

Robert Mugabe Feasts at 92; Country Still Starving
According to the Daily Mail, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe s 92nd birthday cake weighed in
at the weight of a prize fighter a full 92 kilograms (just under 203 U.S. pounds). The overall party cost
upwards of a million dollars.
As the world s oldest living leader, you might think Mugabe has earned a nice party, but his country is
in financial ruin, drought has brought vast food shortages, and political turmoil continues to fuel
fighting throughout the country. The lavish party was viewed as a slap in the face of ordinary
Zimbabweans.
Not everybody complained. Thousands dressed in the countries colors: red, black, green, and yellow.
While most of them were not allowed inside to feast ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most Americans don t live in a world where vote rigging, mass emigration, accusations of human
rights abuses and economic decline have been the standard for the last 36 years, and this year 75
percent of their maize crop was destroyed by drought. Maize is the staple food crop for the country.
Mugabe said that he has applied for aid and that no one would starve, but then he added that he would
not accept the aid if the country had to accept gay rights to get it. If aid, as I understand, is to be given
on the basis that we accept the principle of gay marriages, then let that aid stay where it is. We don t
want it. It is rotten aid, filthy aid and we won t have anything to do with it.
In addition to the drought, Zimbabwe suffers from hyper inflation as a result of Mugabe s reforms . He
seized all of the farms from white farmers and redistributed them to his supporters. When Mugabe
took power in 1980 after the British ceded control of the country, Zimbabwe was poised to be one of
the world s most promising economies. Mugabe s policies have thrown the country into economic
chaos, however, with its output less than half of what is was nearly 40 years ago.

Euthyphro Interpretative Essay
Interpretive essay for Euthyphro
Euthyphro, a priest in Plato s dialogue, strives throughout the reading to teach his religion to Socrates.
Since Euthyphro portrays himself to be the most intelligent human to mankind, Socrates believes that
he must know every words meaning and that guides Socrates to ask him about a word he is curious
about; piety. Piety is something he is very curious about and asks Euthyphro many questions about it.
Euthyphro gives five intricate versions of piety, but one of them is peculiar and brings to my attention.
On page 7 line a, Euthyphro states that what is dear to the gods is pious, what is not is impious. This
definition poses a valid argument and an invalid argument. The implications I gather from it is that

Crime Is A Major Problem
Literature review Crime is a major problem in Memphis (the Bluff City) that have reached numerous
communities in areas such as Frayser (Anthony, Hunter, Jewell, Johnson, Mooreland, 2006). Crime
has been a major concern in the bluff city. However, there are certain crimes that are more alarming
than others in this region. Crimes such as homicides, home invasions, and kidnapping. Due to the
frequencies of the crimes, my focus will center on the problem of assaults and burglaries in the North
Memphis area that occur on a daily basis (Buchner, 1998). Assaults An assault is defined as an
unlawful attack on another person for the purpose of afflicting serious physical injury (Alexander,
2003, p. 13). An assault is usually achieved by the use of a weapon to inflict death or great bodily
harm. Assaults have increased in the city of Memphis when viewing a 10 year trend (Alexander,
2003). According to Fyfe (1982) Memphis rates for assaults toward African American individuals
were higher compared to Caucasian individuals. The disparity yields a black death from police
shootings while unarmed and no assaultive were 5.4 percentage to 100,000 of the population. This rate
was 18 times higher than the comparable white race of 0.3 (Fyfe, 1982). The individuals who
experienced assaults by officers were unarmed and the end result was death. Burglaries Memphis is
ranked first in the nation for the highest number of burglaries per 100,000 population (Buchner, 1998).

Youth Baseball Narrative Essay
I first started playing youth baseball back in 2008. I had a passion for it since I was a very young boy.
I used to sit at home on my PlayStation 2 playing MLB the show. My baseball idols are Derek Jeter,
David Ortiz, Jackie Robinson, Sammy Sosa, and Alfonso Soriano. I used to play catch all the time
with my cousin Tristan. As we got older I was able to join a baseball team with Tristan, and we made
it onto the same team. The team was called Optic. What made Optic the best was our pitching, to be
honest my pitching. We were the best team in our league; we only ever lost to one team the Bulldogs.
They were the undefeated team in our league.
Down goes the pitch, moving at lighting speed! STRIKE! As the batter steps up for his second plate
appearance, he has three balls and two strikes. Men are on second and third base with the score four to
five Optic. While it is the away team who leads the game, it is my very last ... Show more content on

I delivered every single time. My cousin Tristan was a beast. Every time you looked for a deep hit ball
you looked towards him. He always knew had to turn a 0 2 count into a third base hit. He may not
have been fast on the base paths but he knew how to work a bat. We always went to baseball fields
and helped each other improve all the time. Most of our days were spent outside throwing the baseball
fast back and forth to each other. I was not able to play my whole life like I really wanted to. I could
not because my grandparents were going through a divorce and I was not able to play baseball on a
team since my last season in 2014. I throw the ball around every now and then but it is nothing
compared to the time and commitment like I used to put in. Just watching baseball live or on
television is enough to make my day. Watching a match up between the Boston Red Sox play and the
New York Yankees is just crazy. It is a rivalry to end all

Tony Kushner s Angels in America Essay
Most of the characters in Tony Kushner s Angels in America struggle with their sexuality. Reflected in
this struggle, the homosexual characters are flawed to the degree at which they hide their sexuality.
Prior, Belize, Louis, Joe, and Roy all deal with this issue in the course of the play. Prior is the least
closeted homosexual while Roy is the most. Prior is chosen to be a prophet, is morally upright, and
represents good. Roy, the unlawful lawyer, represents evil. Belize, Louis, and Joe fall in between Prior
and Roy on the scale. By having these particular characters represent what they do, Tony Kushner
places a negative stigma on those in the closet and emphasizes his negative opinion on closeted
homosexuals.
Prior is one of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Kushner 160) and winks at Roy. Then after Roy says Belize has no reason to want to help him, Belize
says, ?Consider it solidarity. One faggot to another? (Kushner 161). The word faggot is typically
regarded as offensive. Being able to call oneself by something that is considered offensive generally
indicates one?s comfortability level with who one is. Through Belize?s comfort level with himself, his
openness about his sexuality reveals itself.
Because Louis is in a relationship with Prior, one would not think Louis would be considered
uncomfortable with his sexuality or closeted; however, in the first few scenes, the audience sees Louis
hiding his homosexuality from his family. When he and Prior are at Louis?s grandmother?s funeral,
the two talk about how Louis does not like to be open around his family. Louis says, ?Sorry I didn?t
introduce you to?.I always get so closety at these family things? (Kushner 25), to which Prior
responds with, ?Butch. You get Butch. ?Hi Cousin Doris, you don?t remember me I?m Lou, Rachel?s
boy.? Lou, not Louis, because if you say Louis they?ll hear the sibilant S? (Kushner 25 26). This
conversation proves Louis?s insecurity about his homosexuality when among family members.
Because of this, Louis cannot be considered completely open with his sexuality.
Joe is definitely not comfortable with his homosexuality. His marriage to Harper confirms his closeted
ness. In act two when Joe comes out to Harper, he flat out tells

Gregg Steinberg Pyramid Of Success Essay
One idea key idea presented by Dr. Gregg Steinberg s seminar on leadership involves the use of a
success pyramid for defining a personal definition of success and steps to achieve that success (G.
Steinberg, personal communication, August 13, 2016). The pyramid of success was made famous in
large part due to UCLA coach John Wooden and consists of building blocks that lead to greatness or
success (Fifer, 2006). Dr. Steinberg stated that the pyramid of success or greatness has been used
successfully by numerous head coaches in various athletic fields and has also been adapted to use in
the business field (G. Steinberg, personal communication, August 13, 2016). I found it very useful to

Steinberg involves the use of personality and workplace fit tools to ensure increased efficiency (G.
Steinberg, personal communication, August 13, 2016). Dr. Steinberg spoke about the importance of
the corporate culture and individual supervisory leadership style needing to mesh well. He also
discussed the important of hiring the correct candidate based on personality fit so that resources are
not wasted with low efficiency and high employee turnover. The employee s ability to form good
working relationships with coworkers in the specific workgroup is extremely important, and strong
coworker relationships can at times mediate conflicts that arise between corporate and personal values
(Menguc, Auh, Katsikeas, Yeon Sung, 2016). Turnover rate is particularly important in the nursing
profession in which I am currently employed. The turnover cost for a nurse in the U.S. is estimated to
be at least $20,000, with many areas reporting even higher costs (Duffield, Roche, Homer, Buchan,
Dimitrelis, 2014). As nursing is typically one of the larger budget items for a healthcare system, it is
very important that the right nurses are chosen during the selection process. Evaluating personality
and workplace fit is one way to help reduce the turnover cost and ensure that the right candidate is
chosen for the open

The Single Payer Reimbursement System
What is a Single Payer Reimbursement System?
Single payer reimbursement is a health care financing system that includes both the collection of
money for health care and reimbursement of providers for health care costs. In such a system, the
government or a quasi public agency is the entity that bears full responsibility of collecting funds and
reimbursing appropriate parties, but the provision of care remains in private hands. Through taxpayer
funds, the government collects money from individuals and businesses, and then reimburses providers
who delivered health care services to those individuals enrolled in the public health insurance
program. (http://www.pnhp.org/facts/what is single payer).
Current Healthcare Financing System in the United States
The United States currently employs a multipayer system. The payers in this system include the
government and private insurance companies., thus the collection of money for health care is a joint
responsibility of both parties. Private insurance companies collect premiums and other payments from
enrolled individuals and businesses. The government collects taxes from individuals and businesses.
Regarding reimbursement, the private insurance industry reimburses providers for health care services
delivered to privately insured individuals, while the government reimburses providers for health care
services delivered to publicly insured individuals (e.g. people enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid, S
CHIP, or the VA).

Northern Iowa scheduled this matchup was because North Carolina point guard Marcus Paige was

Paige played for Linn Mar High School with his teammate, Matt Bohannon, who is UNI Panther

Who Is Lady Macbeth s Letter To Her Father
Dearest Beloved Mother and Father, In the short time of serving our mighty King Macbeth, I cannot
say anything but good things. Our majesty is nothing less than the kind, honorable, and noble man one
would expect him to be. On the contrary, however, there was one particular incident which startled me
greatly, and now I am fearful for my own life as well those in the kingdom.
Ere the day before, King Macbeth hosted the most elegant of all banquets in celebration of his
crowning. All was well; his servants and I tended to the guests with ease. Without any notice, a
mysterious, dark man emerged from the door s shadow and our King shortly excused himself and
proceeded to greet the man, privately. As I neared the end of the table, the two were deep in private
conversion; unfortunately, I was unable to effectively eavesdrop. As the suspicious man later turned to

A dark aura surrounded the room; it was obvious on all the guests timid faces, but no one understood
why. Continuing to discuss that His Highness s special quest, Banquo, was unable to attend, chills
filled me and the hairs on my neck as if a small wind leaked into the chamber. The chills turned to
solid ice as our Majesty, AGAIN, cursed and pointed at the invisible being in the chair. His words still
ring inside my head, Take any shape but that, and my firm nerves/Shall never tremble: or be alive
again... Now, however, we were all issued away by Lady Macbeth. Leaving their steaming food
abandoned, Lords empty the room instantly, lacking order, and the servants and I aimed toward our
wing.
Is our majesty s sanity being challenged? It is questioned if he will continue his rule. I fear the worst
dear parents. Pray you will care for yourselves as I fear I will be returning home soon.

11. Please describe two (and only two) reasons why post licensure requirements for recordkeeping and

recordkeeping and reporting are extremely helpful to monitor the activity of the product. Moreover,
the product records are kept in order to constantly control the safety and effectiveness of the product.
Post licensure recordkeeping establish the database with all related documents including adverse

manufacturing and cooperative manufacturing agreements. Sole manufacturing concept implies that
all manufacturing operations are conducted at a single site. This type of manufacturing is not the most
common arrangement today. The biologic manufacturers that choose to work under the sole
manufacturing model prefer to use either multi use facilities or pilot plants. Multi use facilities and
pilot plans permit production of several products. Cooperative manufacturing concept has four
additional types of manufacturing arrangement: Short supply arrangement The most limited

Into Thin Air by Jon Krauker Essay
The book Into Thin Air, written by Jon Krakauer, explores the struggle of man versus man and man
versus nature. The very different personalities proved costly to everyone involved on the expedition.
The team of climbers that were hiking toward the summit of Mt. Everest on May 10, 1996, was
oblivious to what lay ahead of them. No matter how advanced the hikers were, Everest on this day
would test the will and endurance of everyone attempting to reach the summit. The one element that
no one person could elude was pain.
Jon Krakauer stated in his book, I quickly came to understand that climbing Everest was primarily
about enduring pain (136). At this point in the book, Jon was unaware of the events that would soon
transpire. Even the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The pain for everyone grew increasingly greater each day that they were on the mountain. Everyone
on the expedition had to dig deep into themselves to find the will to keep moving and to put their pain
and fears aside. The pain that each of these men and women on this mountain were beginning to feel
was pain that would linger well after they got off the mountain.
Mt. Everest s summit has always seemed an unattainable goal for most people. The idea that most
people have is that if I can climb Mt Everest, I can accomplish anything. To have the money and
desire to try to attempt it is one thing, but being able to endure the punishment is quite another. Beck
Weathers, one of the climbers on this particular expedition, had such severe frostbite that he had to
have his right arm, nose and the fingers on his left hand amputated. Everyone on the expedition
suffered the rigors of Everest. The two expert guides, Rob Hall and Scott Fischer, lost their lives due
to a violent storm that ripped through during their descent from the summit. Their impaired judgment
also contributed to their demise. Everest is no respecter of persons. Mt Everest is the most respected

Comparing A Good Man Is Hard To Find And A Good Man Is Hard
Within the short stories, A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings and A Good Man is Hard to Find

these two stories. These stories take place in different places, have different cultures, and are even set

Oklahoma City Bombing In American History
A truck bomb explosion occurred on April 19, 1995. Prior to 9/11, this event was the worst attack on
American soil in our history because it killed or injured approximately 700 civilians. By analyzing the
historical, social, and cultural perspectives, one can better understand the significance of the
Oklahoma City Bombing in American history.
Timothy McVeigh packed a Ryder truck full of five thousand pounds of explosives. These explosives
were made out of fertilizer. He parked the truck in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. He
lit a five minute fuse when he parked the truck, and he left. He was about six blocks from the building
when the explosion happened. The explosion destroyed a nine story concrete and granite building. It
also destroyed or damaged nearly 300 nearby buildings, and completely destroyed the vehicles across
the street. People in the building survived by diving underneath their desks. This explosion could be

provide a valuation proposal for J.M. Smucker s Company. Team B utilized a Sales Projection
approach to determine the free cash flows for Smucker s. We then used those values to derive the
value of Smucker s. For the time period of the analysis, Smucker s stock was trading at $29.88 per
share leading to an overall firm value of ~$882 M. Team B believes Smucker s was undervalued by
$57M and believe that the stock is worth $31.27 per share leading to an overall value of ~$939 M. A
summary of our results is shown below: Given that the market believes Smucker s is undervalued
based on our conservative model, Team B would recommend ... Show more content on

The suggestions we are showing make the model more aggressive in how it determines the value of a
firm, but we believe that would provide a more accurate representation of the firm s value. The current
valuation model is overly conservative, which is good news when it comes to making a buying
decision. Where is Smucker s Today? Our team wanted to determine if our acquisition decision would
have been a wise one. In order to do that, we first did some research to determine where Smucker s
ranks in relation to their competition today. We then looked at the actual 2011 financial results and
calculated them in1992 terms to see the results of our investment. The following table shows where
Smucker s ranks in comparison to others in the market: From the table above, we can see Smucker s
has a solid market position. While they are not at the top of any single category, they are squarely
positioned in the market. We also wanted to compare our valuation amount to the 2011 actual value of
Smucker s in order to determine the return we would have achieved on our investment. If we were to
take the 1992 market value of (29,500 * $29.88) and grow it from 1992 to the 2011 amount of $5.36B,
we would have achieved a 9.5% return on our investment. If we were to acquire Smucker s at our
valuation amount of $939,140, we would have achieved an 8.885% return on our investment to reach
the 2011 equity value of $5.36B Overall, we believe an 8.5% to

`` Gasoline Alley `` By Frank King
In Gasoline Alley, Frank King uses closure to take an average human being, Skeezix, and place him
into a surreal world, and in doing so immerses his readers in the fantastic wonderlands they observe.
In The Superman Chronicles, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster do the opposite by using closure to take a
surreal being and place him into the real world of the readers to show how alien Superman is to planet
Earth. For clarity, closure is defined in Scott McCloud s Understanding Comics as, Observing the
parts but perceiving the whole. Simply put, closure in comics allows the reader to become an active
participant in the story. This participation allows the reader to become fully immersed in the world of
the characters which leads to an experiential connection between the reader and the character. In order
to understand how real and surreal are to be interpreted in this paper, they must be defined. The
Merriam Webster Dictionary defines surreal as, marked by the intense irrational reality of a dream,
and defines real as, not artificial, fraudulent, or illusory...occurring or existing in actuality. The
creators devise diametric plots, but the use of closure as a mechanism to create the immersive worlds
in which their readers and characters coexist are nearly the same. Frank King and Siegel Shuster both
use closure as a vehicle to convey the concept that their respective characters are living
representations of the opposition between real and surreal, this is evident in

Components Of Engineering Design And Analysis
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1. ENGINEERING MATERIALS Materials are an important aspect
of engineering design and analysis. The importance of engineering materials can be noted from the
fact that historical ages have been named after materials. Materials Science forms the basic foundation
for engineers in product development because the structures, components, and devices that design are
limited by the properties of the materials. In the customer driven competitive business environment,
the product quality is of paramount importance [1]. The product or end application quality has been
found to be influenced by the engineering design, type of materials selected and the processing
technology employed. Therefore, the importance of engineering materials and their process techniques
are art of today s engineering world. There are wide categories of materials available which have
shown their potential in various engineering applications ranging from aerospace to household. The
materials are usually selected by considering their properties, specific application areas, advantages
and limitations. The challenge for designers is to select an optimal material suitable for the specific
design requirements. The complex design need in modern science generally lead to development of
newer materials to meet the specific operating conditions and regimes [1]. The new materials are
today developed from the conventional materials by both structural and surface (extrinsic)
modifications. In

(2011), Metformin, a biguanide, is the most popular first line type 2 diabetes due to its mechanism of
action commonly used to reduce hepatic glucose production. It is normally considered as weight
neutral with chronic use and also does not increase the risk of hypoglycemia. There may be some
cardiovascular benefits from this drug but there is no strong clinical trial data (Inzucchi et al. 2012).
As shown in the figure 1, after lifestyle changes and using metformin, if the patient s A1C is greater

Thiazolidinediones (TZDs) are peroxisome proliferator activated receptor γ activators that improve
insulin sensitivity in skeletal muscle and reduce hepatic glucose production. They do not increase the
risk of hypoglycemia but also more effective than sulfonylureas and metformin (Khan, St.peter Xue

outcome in one large trial involving patients with overt macrovascular disease. But researchers

Pablo Neruda Poem
Tonight I can write by Pablo Neruda. Pablo Neruda (Ricardo Eliécer Neftalí Reyes Basoalto) was born
on July 12, 1904,. He was born in the agricultural region of parral, Chile. Neruda was known as a
poetic when he was 10 years old. He won the noble prize for literature in 1971. The poem Tonight I
can write is a poem that describes the sadness of Neruda towards his ex girlfriend. Although, in this
poem the poetic shows many techniques that helped the people to understand the poem and the poetic
feelings. So, what are the techniques and the themes that the poetic used and how it impacts the poem?
The themes of Pablo Neruda s poem is the love and passion, Neruda describes and expresses his love
and Passion towards his love for a woman. He remembers her great eyes, the bright body and he
remembers the kisses under the endless sky. Neruda still loves her though he said twice that he no

Pablo Neruda didn t use a lot of the literary devices, he used very strong imagery and some
personification with a bit of repetition. One of the examples of imagery when he said the night is
shattered he describes the night as a glass broken into many pieces and the sky was clear as a piece of
glass. Another example of imagery in the same stanza the blue stars shiver in the distance Pablo
Neruda creates imagery in the reader s mind by describing the blue sky that they are far away. The
other literary devices that Neruda used is personification when he said in line 4 The night wind
revolves in the sky and sings the wind can t sing unlike human, Neruda personifies that it is a way to
add some feeling and mode in the poem. The last literary device Neruda used is repetition and I think
that repetition was the common device in this poem. He used repetition three times in this

The fishing industry can be a very exciting and fulfilling world to work in. You re always working,

Does Music Help You Study Analysis
Music and school have both been very significant to me for as long as I can remember. I was always
the child who was jamming along to a song, whether it be from the genre of Pop or even R B. Along
with this, I have always thought that getting school work done and keeping my concentration are the
keys to my success. The only problem with this is that sometimes too much of something, especially
homework, becomes boring. That s when I decided to incorporate music into my work time. I felt the
need to listen to music I enjoy, in order to hype myself up, and put myself in the mood of motivation.

The Factors Affecting Breathing Rate And Lung Capacity
Recall the hypothesis of the factors affecting breathing rate and lung capacity was one s vital capacity
was affected by the surrounding. Since there was no primary information about breathing rate and
vital capacity of another subject, online resources would be used. From the internet source, an average
17 years old female s vital capacity was 3.1L, which surprisingly Jeannie had a higher vital capacity
rate. Therefore, the hypothesis was proven to be not so true. However, when Jeannie s breathing rate
compared to the average, it showed that Jeannie had a higher breathing rate, which showed that the
hypothesis was not completely wrong.
There were a bucket of factors that might be at play, for instance current health condition, medical
history, smoking habits, connections with second hand smokes, frequency of exercise, and living
environment, etc. all these were the factors contribute to a person s vital capacity. As it was mentioned
above, current health condition was a crucial part of the experiment at that moment, as the instant
result would be used to construct the lab report. Medical history was another concern, it was important
to learn more about the subject past medical history and predict the outcome of the experiment.
Smoking habits and second hand smokes were the important factors of the experiment as tar would
not be filtered and it would coat alveoli directly, affecting the breathing rate. The vital capacity of a
smoker and a non smoker could be distinguished

well known to the public by making various commercial advertisements in the movie. The individuals

in Mythologies, [m]yths are nothing but this ceaseless, untiring solicitation, this insidious and
inflexible demand that all men recognize themselves in this image, eternal yet bearing a date, which
was built of them one day as if for all time. (155) Therefore, Gladys and her corresponding notion of
average American girl penetrate deeply into the people s mind because of the power of media. The
mass media transmits and reinforces the message again and again until the public is used to its

The Reflection Of Being A CURO Honor Scholar
As this semester draws to a close and I reflect upon it, I am grateful for having taken this class and to
be a CURO Honor Scholar. This semester was much different than my past two semesters taking this
class, but I think this difference has been beneficial. CURO 4970H entailed class lectures, writing
assignments, and presentation assignments. These assignments composed the class portion while
working in my research lab 10 hours or more each week with Dr. Darold Batzer composed the
experiential portion. Overall, as a result of these assignments and experiences, I have able to learn
more about myself, my field of study, as well as what I would like to pursue career wise in the future.
The class portion this year has had the greatest impact on me academically and personally. In class, we
discussed how to write personal statements, resumes, and abstracts. In addition to that, we also learned
how to present ourselves through elevator speeches and how to prepare for interviews. For all of the in
class lectures, we had a writing assignment or presentation assignment that not only helped to
reinforce what we learned but also gave us usable drafts and practices for any future opportunities in
which their implementation may be useful. In doing so, I was able to grasp more firmly the material
we covered in class and I had a physical representation of my work in the above mentioned formats
that I could use for any future endeavors. The best part of these assignments was that there

Technology Has A Growing Influence On Home Life, The...
Technology has been a growing influence in home life, the business world, and now education. Many
schools use technology to enhance student learning. Administrators have bought technological devices
and tools such as; digital cameras, SMART boards, laptops computers, projectors, and course software
to support curriculum, all in the hopes of improving student achievement and motivation. However,
the technology tools themselves should not be the focus. Technology cannot take place of the teacher;
it is a tool that the educator uses to enhance the student s understanding and should be used as
supplemental and to complement the educator s lessons. Bassett recognized that the technological age
should not be about technology alone, rather it should be about what the teacher and the students are
doing with the technology to further understanding and engagement with the lesson (2005, p. 77).
Technology tools are becoming readily available for teachers and students. Today technology is more
available then ever. Honey (2005) sites the National Center of Education Statistics, in saying that
public schools have made consistent progress in expanding Internet access in classrooms. Having
these technological tools and access available allow it easy for teachers to put into practice student

effected the student s learning process and widen the depth of learning skills and knowledge.

Creating Content For A Niche Site
How to Find Content
The hardest part of building a niche site is to come up with content for a niche site because most have
no interest in or experience with. For the ones who not the writing type and can t waffle on and bang
out a few key pages of content themselves by utilizing what s already available online, then they may
follow these options:
Use articles from public article repository sites such as Articles and Go Articles. Writers contribute
articles to these sites that you can republish on your site as long as you keep the author s byline intact.
The downside of this is that other people also can do the same and your article won t be original.
However if your niche is small enough there won t be that many other people out there discussing the
topic
Another popular method is to republish Wikipedia content. Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia
contributed to by anyone. Chances are your obscure niche content site topic will have some entries in
the Wiki and under the GNU Free Documentation License you can republish the content on your site.
Freelance writers all over the web are eager to take your money in exchange for their writing skills.
Elance is the largest freelancer hub online, others include Odesk, Five etc. Listing your article writing
project there will flood you with responses. Most writers are pretty adept at producing content on
almost any topic, even if they just regurgitate someone else s writings in a new way. A few thousand

Determining Optimum Temperature and Ph for Enzymatic...
Enzymes lower the activation energy of chemical reactions but they themselves are not consumed or
altered when doing so. These catalysts work best at optimum temperatures and pH s. The temperature
and pH at which the reaction occurs the quickest is the ideal condition for the enzymatic reaction.
Alpha amylase converts starch into glucose and when starch is combined with I2KI indicator a dark
purple solution forms. As the enzyme breaks down the starch the absorbency will decrease. The
absorbency is measured through the spectrophotometer which reads the transmittance of the
wavelengths that pass through the solution. In order to determine the optimum temperature for the
enzymatic reaction water bath of varying temperatures were made. To ... Show more content on

Materials and Methods A blank cuvette was created in order to set the spectrophotometers absorbance
to zero. Contained in this cuvette was 5mL of distilled water and 0.1mL of I2KI indicator. This was
used to recalibrate the spectrophotometer between the temperature and pH trials (Vliet, 2007).
To determine the most favorable temperature for the reaction of alpha amylase s enzymatic conversion
of starch to glucose water baths of various temperatures were used. First a stock solution was prepared
prior to the experiment; it included alpha amylase, I2KI indicator and .0033 g/ml of starch. Thirty five
mL of this solution was then combined with 35mL of distilled water into an Erlenmeyer flask in order
to create the reaction flask. The flask was then added into one of the various water bath temperatures,
15, 35, 45, 55, 65 and 70 #61616; C. The reaction flask needed to be in the water baths long enough
for it to reach the required temperature before the enzyme was added. 0.1mL of I2KI indicator was
then added to each of the twelve cuvettes which were used in the timed readings. Then 5mL of the
solution from the reaction flask was transferred into one of the cuvettes which contained I2KI
indicator. Next, the starch iodine complexes absorbance were read on the spectrophotometer and
recorded onto the appropriate table. Then, 1mL of alpha amylase was added into the reaction flask to

including feelings of morality, greed and gluttony, and fear. In The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion,
the Witch, and the Wardrobe , both the original novel and the 2005 movie, betrayal is exhibited as

influenced by strong negative emotions. An example of this is shown when the Witch betrays Edmund
by not giving him what she promised and also causes him to betray his siblings, all because of a deep
fear. She is terrified of losing her throne, so she will do anything to prevent the prophecy from coming
true, including forcing people to betray others. Edmund had an even greater incentive than Turkish

to properly define what the role of the anterior cruciate ligament (more commonly called the ACL) is,
shed light on the procedures necessary for an athlete to return to play, and analyze data found through
research to determine the likelihood of re injury and, therefore, the effectiveness of ACL surgery. The
anterior cruciate ligament is a ligament that connects the femur (thigh bone) to the tibia (lower leg
bone) and is one of four major ligaments in the knee (Putukian 1). It is responsible for stabilizing the
knee, especially in sports/activities that require cutting, pivoting, turning maneuvers, landing, sudden
deceleration, and planting. It is this ligament that is responsible for also preventing tibial translation
onto the femur. Injury to the ACL usually happens when

Marlow s Racism in Heart of Darkness
Heart of Darkness is an intriguing story as well as a symbol for Joseph Conrad s social commentary
on imperialism. Marlow s journey takes him deep into the African Congo where he bears witness to a
number of life altering revelations. He beholds his most striking revelation when he begins to compare
the civilized European man with the savage African man. These two opposing forces represent the two
conflicting viewpoints present in every dilemma, be it cultural, social, or otherwise. As a modern
European man who believes religiously in imperialism, Marlow is inherently arrogant. Yet, although
he cannot accept the African jungle as being equally important as imperialism, his ... Show more

No; you want a deliberate belief. * The inherent strength of civilized people is in our ability to trust to
faith, to believe so much in something that it will preserve our sense of self even when it is threatened
by total absence of, even the opposite conditions of, all that formed to make it. The Africans fascinate
Marlow, lure that part of him that wants to escape from the surface realities created by sociality. Is it a
deliberate belief that saves him from asserting his attraction, or an accident of situation? You wonder I
didn t go ashore for a howl and a dance? Well, no I didn t. Fine sentiments, you say? Fine sentiments
be hanged! I had no time. I had to mess about with white lead and strips of woollen blanket helping to
put bandages on those leaky steam pipes, I tell you. ...There was surface truth enough in these things
to save a wiser man. * The technological realities of civilized man happened to allow him to focus his
thoughts on work. This reconciles with the notion of a deliberate belief because Marlow unshakeably
believes that work contains truth (and he can assert this truth against the truth of the Africans) and is
not another system of surface reality (Hubbard 125) . Marlow sees his journey as a demonstration of
the failure of surface realities to restrain man from gratifying his instinctual lusts; their failure in even
remaining surface truths but degenerating in the minds of man to

The Viking Research Paper
The Viking Age was from 800 to 1050 AD ( Where Did They Come From? ). During that time the
Vikings attacked, plundered, and created their own culture in Scandinavia and other islands. The very
first Vikings were from Scandinavia and most of them left their homeland to seek freedoms and
fortunes elsewhere (History.com Staff.). There are many famous viking leaders, explorers, and gods.
Many people think of Vikings as uncivilized and bloodthirsty, but many of the things that people think
about the Vikings are not true. The very first Vikings made their homeland in Scandinavia ( History Of
The Vikings. ). The most common occupation for Vikings during the viking age was farming and
fishing ( Where Did They Come From? ). Other Vikings would also ... Show more content on

The First places that the Vikings raided were Islands and mainly the coastal cities and villages of the
British Isles. Their favorite targets would be undefended churches and monasteries along the coasts of
those islands (History.com Staff.). The Vikings liked to raid those because they usually had wealth and
mainly because they were undefended. In the Vikings religion, they felt that the religious places would
be the most important places to defend, so during an invasion or attack those religious places would be
the most heavily defended and protected

Simon Farrah Abraham Character Analysis
Simon Saran is a forced to be reckoned with. His on again off again relationship with Farrah Abraham
has been documented through Teen Mom OG. The two are apparently off at the moment, though that
doesn t mean there isn t a reconciliation possible. Because Saran has been a huge part of the MTV
franchise, the show offered him his own special. This is a big deal because the ones who have been
offered the same have all been married to or have had children with the star they were attached to
while filming. Being Simon is set to air this coming Wednesday on MTV. It will be an hour long
special featuring Simon Saran in his everyday life. He confirmed this was coming back in June, but
Farrah Abraham shaded him when he mentioned it. The two have been hot and cold for several
months now. Saran is a businessman, and now, Abraham is back to selling sex. ... Show more content

According to Starcasm, Simon Saran and Courtland Rogers got into an insult match where one went a
little too far. Everyone knows that Twitter is the place where anything goes. Racial comments, insults,
and everything else can be seen on the platform with no enforcing of etiquette. Saran was going off
about Donald Trump being blamed for the Las Vegas massacre, and Rogers decided to have his say
with him. It appears that since Jenelle Evans no longer wants anything to do with Courtland, he is
really trying to stay relevant. Both men reverted to heavy insults, with Courtland Rogers insinuating
that Simon Saran was a terrorist with a tweet about hijacking a plane. Of course, Simon wasn t
innocent in the debate, but Courtland really went the whole nine yards with his comments. There is a
streak of jealousy there. Being Simon is airing this upcoming week and since Rogers no longer has
any connection to the show, there may be a little bitterness. The two exchanged a few more tweets and
that was

Vince Gilligan s Breaking Bad
Back home I only thought Albuquerque was just another city with nothing to show for. That changed
once I started watching the TV series Breaking Bad. The TV show was created by Vince Gilligan
released in 2008, Genre being crime, drama, thriller, rated MA (mature audience). Starting Bryan
Cranston as Walter White, Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman. I m going to review the first episode called
Pilot in season 1 and episode 4 called Cancer Man as well. The elements that I will be focusing on is
the actor s roles on how they preform, art direction, dialogue, editing and how the show changed my
view of Albuquerque.
The first episode kicks off with a wild plot that I didn t expect to happen so quickly in a TV show.
Walter White is a chemist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cloths they were really depict the different life styles they have. Walter which is 50 years old and
is a teacher has cloths that show he is just a regular civilian in Albuquerque struggling with life. While
Jesse always has baggy cloths which pretty much says he is not formal at all. The transitions weren t
choppy at all, they were very smooth and even when they started cooking meth the shots were speed
up and chopped to speed up the cooking process. It wasn t bad especially with music they had for that
part was great. The plot was not predicable at all I enjoyed the introduction of Breaking Bad. Every
time I think of my chemistry teacher I think maybe he or she is making meth after school too.
Episode 4 is called Cancer Man which has a good wide shot of the whole family eating together
capturing them eat and talk about random things. Then Walter tells everyone that he has cancer which
then all you heard was birds chirping and made the tone really sad and shocking. Jesse really does a
great job acting as a meth head and sells as being under the influence of meth. The tripping out scene
is really interesting and fun to watch since the music that plays sets the tone that he is having a bad
trip on the meth. Other

  • 2. Shea Butter Research Paper Quite a few beauty magazines are jumping on the bandwagon and praising the wonderful benefits bestowed on those that regularly use Shea butter. The overall party cost upwards of a million dollars. As the world s oldest living leader, you might think Mugabe has earned a nice party, but his country is in financial ruin, drought has brought vast food shortages, and political turmoil continues to fuel fighting throughout the country. Mugabe said that he has applied for aid and that no one would starve, but then he added that he would not accept the aid if the country had to accept gay rights to get it. If aid, as I understand, is to be given on the basis that we accept the principle of gay marriages, then let that aid stay where it is. We don t want it. It is rotten aid, filthy aid and we won t have anything to do with it. In addition to the drought, Zimbabwe suffers from hyper inflation as a result of Mugabe s reforms . Crime Is A Major Problem Literature review Crime is a major problem in Memphis (the Bluff City) that have reached numerous communities in areas such as Frayser (Anthony, Hunter, Jewell, Johnson, Mooreland, 2006). Crime has been a major concern in the bluff city. However, there are certain crimes that are more alarming than others in this region. Crimes such as homicides, home invasions, and kidnapping. Due to the frequencies of the crimes, my focus will center on the problem of assaults and burglaries in the North Memphis area that occur on a daily basis (Buchner, 1998). Assaults An assault is defined as an unlawful attack on another person for the purpose of afflicting serious physical injury (Alexander, 2003, p. 13). An assault is usually achieved by the use of a weapon to inflict death or great bodily harm. Assaults have increased in the city of Memphis when viewing a 10 year trend (Alexander, 2003). According to Fyfe (1982) Memphis rates for assaults toward African American individuals were higher compared to Caucasian individuals. The disparity yields a black death from police shootings while unarmed and no assaultive were 5.4 percentage to 100,000 of the population. This rate was 18 times higher than the comparable white race of 0.3 (Fyfe, 1982). The individuals who experienced assaults by officers were unarmed and the end result was death. I used to sit at home on my PlayStation 2 playing MLB the show. My baseball idols are Derek Jeter, David Ortiz, Jackie Robinson, Sammy Sosa, and Alfonso Soriano. I used to play catch all the time with my cousin Tristan. As we got older I was able to join a baseball team with Tristan, and we made it onto the same team. The team was called Optic. What made Optic the best was our pitching, to be honest my pitching. We were the best team in our league; we only ever lost to one team the Bulldogs. They were the undefeated team in our league. Down goes the pitch, moving at lighting speed! STRIKE! As the batter steps up for his second plate appearance, he has three balls and two strikes. This participation allows the reader to become fully immersed in the world of the characters which leads to an experiential connection between the reader and the character. In order to understand how real and surreal are to be interpreted in this paper, they must be defined. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines surreal as, marked by the intense irrational reality of a dream, and defines real as, not artificial, fraudulent, or illusory...occurring or existing in actuality. The creators devise diametric plots, but the use of closure as a mechanism to create the immersive worlds in which their readers and characters coexist are nearly the same. Frank King and Siegel Shuster both use closure as a vehicle to convey the concept that their respective characters are living representations of the opposition between real and surreal, this is evident in ... • 25. Components Of Engineering Design And Analysis CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1. ENGINEERING MATERIALS Materials are an important aspect of engineering design and analysis. The importance of engineering materials can be noted from the fact that historical ages have been named after materials. Materials Science forms the basic foundation for engineers in product development because the structures, components, and devices that design are limited by the properties of the materials. In the customer driven competitive business environment, the product quality is of paramount importance [1]. The product or end application quality has been found to be influenced by the engineering design, type of materials selected and the processing technology employed. Therefore, the importance of engineering materials and their process techniques are art of today s engineering world. There are wide categories of materials available which have shown their potential in various engineering applications ranging from aerospace to household. The materials are usually selected by considering their properties, specific application areas, advantages and limitations. The challenge for designers is to select an optimal material suitable for the specific design requirements. The complex design need in modern science generally lead to development of newer materials to meet the specific operating conditions and regimes [1]. The new materials are today developed from the conventional materials by both structural and surface (extrinsic) modifications. In ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Administrators have bought technological devices and tools such as; digital cameras, SMART boards, laptops computers, projectors, and course software to support curriculum, all in the hopes of improving student achievement and motivation. These catalysts work best at optimum temperatures and pH s. The temperature and pH at which the reaction occurs the quickest is the ideal condition for the enzymatic reaction. Alpha amylase converts starch into glucose and when starch is combined with I2KI indicator a dark purple solution forms. As the enzyme breaks down the starch the absorbency will decrease. To determine the most favorable temperature for the reaction of alpha amylase s enzymatic conversion of starch to glucose water baths of various temperatures were used. First a stock solution was prepared prior to the experiment; it included alpha amylase, I2KI indicator and .0033 g/ml of starch. Thirty five mL of this solution was then combined with 35mL of distilled water into an Erlenmeyer flask in order to create the reaction flask. An example of this is shown when the Witch betrays Edmund by not giving him what she promised and also causes him to betray his siblings, all because of a deep fear. She is terrified of losing her throne, so she will do anything to prevent the prophecy from coming true, including forcing people to betray others. In the Vikings religion, they felt that the religious places would be the most important places to defend, so during an invasion or attack those religious places would be the most heavily defended and protected ... • 46. Simon Farrah Abraham Character Analysis Simon Saran is a forced to be reckoned with. His on again off again relationship with Farrah Abraham has been documented through Teen Mom OG. The two are apparently off at the moment, though that doesn t mean there isn t a reconciliation possible. Because Saran has been a huge part of the MTV franchise, the show offered him his own special. This is a big deal because the ones who have been offered the same have all been married to or have had children with the star they were attached to while filming. Being Simon is set to air this coming Wednesday on MTV. It will be an hour long special featuring Simon Saran in his everyday life. He confirmed this was coming back in June, but Farrah Abraham shaded him when he mentioned it. The two have been hot and cold for several months now. Saran is a businessman, and now, Abraham is back to selling sex. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Starcasm, Simon Saran and Courtland Rogers got into an insult match where one went a little too far. Everyone knows that Twitter is the place where anything goes. Racial comments, insults, and everything else can be seen on the platform with no enforcing of etiquette. Saran was going off about Donald Trump being blamed for the Las Vegas massacre, and Rogers decided to have his say with him. It appears that since Jenelle Evans no longer wants anything to do with Courtland, he is really trying to stay relevant. Both men reverted to heavy insults, with Courtland Rogers insinuating that Simon Saran was a terrorist with a tweet about hijacking a plane. Of course, Simon wasn t innocent in the debate, but Courtland really went the whole nine yards with his comments. There is a streak of jealousy there. Being Simon is airing this upcoming week and since Rogers no longer has any connection to the show, there may be a little bitterness. The two exchanged a few more tweets and that was ... • 47. Vince Gilligan s Breaking Bad Back home I only thought Albuquerque was just another city with nothing to show for. That changed once I started watching the TV series Breaking Bad. The TV show was created by Vince Gilligan released in 2008, Genre being crime, drama, thriller, rated MA (mature audience). Starting Bryan Cranston as Walter White, Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman. I m going to review the first episode called Pilot in season 1 and episode 4 called Cancer Man as well. The elements that I will be focusing on is the actor s roles on how they preform, art direction, dialogue, editing and how the show changed my view of Albuquerque. The first episode kicks off with a wild plot that I didn t expect to happen so quickly in a TV show. Walter White is a chemist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The cloths they were really depict the different life styles they have. Walter which is 50 years old and is a teacher has cloths that show he is just a regular civilian in Albuquerque struggling with life. While Jesse always has baggy cloths which pretty much says he is not formal at all. The transitions weren t choppy at all, they were very smooth and even when they started cooking meth the shots were speed up and chopped to speed up the cooking process. It wasn t bad especially with music they had for that part was great. The plot was not predicable at all I enjoyed the introduction of Breaking Bad. Every time I think of my chemistry teacher I think maybe he or she is making meth after school too. Episode 4 is called Cancer Man which has a good wide shot of the whole family eating together capturing them eat and talk about random things. Then Walter tells everyone that he has cancer which then all you heard was birds chirping and made the tone really sad and shocking. Jesse really does a great job acting as a meth head and sells as being under the influence of meth. The tripping out scene is really interesting and fun to watch since the music that plays sets the tone that he is having a bad trip on the meth. Other ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
