What a jerk? That s him pushing the stone up the hill, the jerk (34 37): Seems like Mrs.
Sisyphus, throughout the poem, is attempting to rule out her workaholic husband of any chance
to explain himself or tell his side of the story on why he works a lot. The reader may even argue
that there may be some valid complaints that she states but she s not all that sympathetic. There
s this sense of complete hatred for her husband as if he s really a horrendous person, but in
reality she s alone and hurt rather than angry. Throughout the poem, she comes across as very
evil, diabolical, but in a softer sense. Her words don t seem to stick since they re more of a soft
insult rather than harsh and rough, as if a little girl did not get the candy she wants so she s

Aging, although a quite evasive and rather frightening thought, is an inevitable process that occurs

The two models that we have encountered in this class are the due process model and the law
and order, or the crime control model. The due process model can be observed, most famously,
during the Warren Court in the 1960s, during Warren s time as Chief Justice the court was most
concerned with protecting and extending the rights of the accused. The due process model puts
more strain on the prosecution to prove that the criminal s rights were not infringed upon and that
he actually committed the crime. In contrast, the crime control model is most concerned with
lowering crime and deterring future criminals by prosecuting and processing criminals and cases
as fast as possible. In some ways, this model resembles an assembly line, in the sense that it
attempts to process cases as quickly and efficiently as possible. This model is much more
concerned with convictions rather than upholding the rights of the accused. It is most prevalent

Obispo. Cal Poly was affordable, strong in the sciences and well known for its Learn by Doing
philosophy. I received a phenomenal education in science and nutrition helping me feel prepared to
begin graduate studies in advanced practice nursing. Prior to Cal Poly, I planned a career in
nursing, ultimately deciding that studying nutrition at Cal Poly could provide an excellent

passion surrounding the health and wellness of women, particularly during pregnancy, solidified. I
began finding ways to supplement my learning in this direction. As a research assistant for a
pediatric nurse practitioner, I sat in on breastfeeding support groups, consultations and researched
topics of concern for new mothers. Some women had been advised to avoid certain foods while
breastfeeding in order to prevent and treat colic symptoms. As a nutrition major, I am interested in
