Guide Lines
Duties of Officer Icharge Nominating BA Wearers and Entry Control Officers Ensuring that team is carrying out all necessary test and maintenance of Bas and its associated equipment and maintaining the records Ensuring that defective equipment is being replaced expeditiously
Procedure for BA Wearer Check the serviceability of BA Handing the tally to ECO before entering the risk area Collecting the tally back on completion of the job in risk area
Duties of Entry Control Officers Daily Examination of the Entry Control Board Daily Examination of the BA Tabard Ensuring the availability of ancillary equipment Reporting the defects to OIC
Duties of OIC at an Incident Decide whether the BA is required and the appropriate level of BA Control Adopt any additionally required safety measures Decide siting and number of Entry Control Points Deploy BA Teams and brief them about the task and possible risks
Duties of OIC at an Incident 5.  Decide whether the Guide Lines and Communication Equipment are to be deployed Ensure that enough BA and othe associated equipment is available. Request fro any additional assistance Ensure the deployment of Emergency Teams when required
Duties of OIC at an Incident Implement the  special procedure  for Wearer  distress 9.  Ensure De-briefing
Stages of entry Control Procedures Stage I Stage II
Duties of Entry Control Officer Providing an Entry Control Board and a suitable waterproof Marker, and providing and wearing a BA Control tabard Taking the position nominated by OIC for the Entry Control Point Indicating on ECB that Stage 1 is in operation
Duties of Entry Control Officer Stage-I Receiving and checking the Tallies from BA Wearers  Entering the “Time In” Checking and entering the Dosemeter Readings  Placing the tallies of each team together and bracketing of tallies to indicate the team. The earliest time of whistle be placed out side the bracket
Duties of Entry Control Officer Calculating the Time of Whistle with the help of Clock & Calculator Sending in the Emergency Team and immediately informing the  OIC; if wearer fails to return to Entry Control Point or a Distress Signal Unit is operated  Designating Main Guide Line and affixing Tallies and removing the Tallies at the end of the incident
Duties of Entry Control Officer 11. Checking the Dosemeter and recording the readings if incident involves radiation 12. Liaising with Decontamination Officer in   case of the involvement of radiation or  hazardous chemicals Removing tallies from Entry Control Board and returning them to Wearers when they leave the risk area
