The document surveys rendezvous-based techniques aimed at conserving power in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) by using mobile sinks to collect data from sensor nodes. It discusses various approaches, including the use of rendezvous points (RPs) to minimize energy consumption and analyzes several algorithms such as RP-CP, RP-UG, CB, and WRP, highlighting their advantages and limitations. Ultimately, the WRP approach is shown to perform the best in terms of energy conservation, reducing the formation of energy holes in the network.
