This document provides information about auxiliary verbs. It defines primary auxiliaries as helping verbs used to form tenses, such as be, do, and have. Modal auxiliaries are defined as words used to express requests, offers, probability, and permission, including will, would, shall, should, can, could, may, might, must, and ought. Examples are given of sentences with and without modal auxiliaries.

3. Primary Auxiliary:
Helping verbs which are used to form
different tenses are known as Primary
Auxiliaries.
Eg: be, do, have

4. Modal Auxiliary:
Words which are used to express requsts,
offers, probability, possibility, ability and
permission etc.
Eg: will, would, shall, should, can, could,
may might, must, ought
