This document summarizes automation using SCADA and PLC software. 2. Purpose : Learning and Building skills
In this presentation , I am going to talk and expose briefly about the
process of developing control systems using basically 2 software
which have been used in industries for a long time.

 I have learn about the software
InTouch which is a service of
Wondeware company.
It is a GUI developer software with
some graphical and scriptural based
designing operations.
 In this we can design a look out of our
process plant and the process flow.
We can connect it with the real time
process by interfacing it with the
control units and can also be
controlled by SCADA.

MicroLogix1000 manufactured by
Rockwell Automation, ALLEN
BRADLEY is the brand name of a
line of Factory Automation
Equipment.
It uses LADDER PROGRAMMING for
logic implementation.

7. System Architecture & Communication
• This is the internal system of PLCs,
basically there are 4 blocks I/P , O/P ,
Central Processor and Memory.
• The communication between PLC and
computer is maintained by either serial
cable or Ethernet cable.
• The communication software I used was
RS logix5000 . Which provides a channel
of same boud rate and data transfer
characteristics.

8. Ladder Logic Programming Basic Elements

3. Output (coil).
4. Counter up.
5. Counter down.
6. Timer on delay.
