This document presents a project report on an automatic water pump switch circuit using a 555 timer IC. The circuit uses three wires submerged in a water tank to detect different water levels. When the water level drops below the bottom wire, the 555 timer output switches on a transistor to energize a relay and turn on the water pump. When the water level rises above the top wire, it resets the 555 timer to turn off the pump. The circuit aims to automatically maintain a constant water level and save water and electricity versus a manually operated pump.
